PRIDE
Episode #124
As the show starts, we find ourselves in the arena ,where The Pride Tag Team Champions have placed themselves in some sort of thrones on the second level where the fans are sitting. They are going to supervise the whole show from there it seems, and it's not without reason, as we get the announcement that tonights main event will feature a #1 contenders match, where the winner, will be challenging The War Raiders for their titles at Grandslam 14! We cut to the Pride vignette...
As we get back, Drew McIntyre is in the ring. He's about to cut a promo when he is brutally interrupted by his opponents entrance music. But who gives a damn? Certainly not Pete Dunne!
Singles Matchup
Drew McIntyre Vs Pete Dunne
Pretty fun match from both men. Dunne uses his submissions and technique while Drew hits his powerful moves. Claymore kick for the 3 count and win. Poor old Drew.
We see a promotional video for Grandslam and the match that will happen for The Pride Championship. Velveteen Dream has been very successful in his escapades, beating strong competition along the road as Pride champion. Ever since capturing the strap at The DonnyBrook Crucible against Jeff Cobb, he has been undefeated in EAM Promotions. Defeating wrestlers like Keith Lee, Matthew Riddle, Will Ospreay, Marty Scurll, Mustafa Ali, Andrade, Drew McIntyre and WALTER! But will this winning streak end at the grandest stage of them all, as Velveteen Dream faces his biggest challenge yet, the Monster, Lars Sullivan!!
Singles Matchup
Dalton Castle Vs Mustafa Ali
Dream and Lars have never been pinned so someone will be pinned!. Great match from these two. Lot of technical moves/submission and high flying action Castle with his boys poses but at the end Ali with a superkick, 054 and picks up another win.
Tag Team Matchup - Winners will recieve a title match at Grandslam 14
Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) Vs Heavy Machinery (Otis & Tucker)
Fun match between the two. Party are definitely more talented and I believe undefeated. Heavy more of the comedy team. No doubt it would be cool to see Private going after the titles or even MITB. Party take control but Otis dances back...
During the match, there is suddenly a flock of people gathering around the ring. It's the other tag teams in Pride, and they certainly don't seem very happy with Otis and Tucker getting a chance at the tag team titles this early. The referee tries to calm everyone down, but after a while, nothing can stop them and the match is rules a no-contest. Otis and Tucker tries to fight it off, but there are to many opponents. They don't stand a chance. But wait?! What?! One of the commentators suddenly explains that The War Raiders are not in their thrones anymore. And they are certainly not. Down the rampway comes The Pride Tag Team Champins running, and they throw away every obstacle in the way. They make their way to the ring where the brawl quickly ends, as bodies fly everyone, over the top ropes mostly. And finally the ring only has 4 men left. Otis and Tucker and The War Raiders. The four big men have a stare down. Then they lift up their tag team belts, and points to the Grandslam logo up amoungst the audience. This weeks show ends with this...
Good to protect both teams.
