Episode #127
Show starts with a recap of last weeks show, and we are told that the investigation are still going on. After asking out every person employeed under the Pride brand, we are still no closer to a solution. Pride general manager Drake Younger will be adressing the #1 Contender issue during the show tonight, as Lars will be defending The Pride Title at Fight For Glory. We go to the Pride vignette...
As the show starts, we are informed by the commentators that tonights show will feature mostly new faces, but the fans will gradually get used to see them on Pride, as they will be competing at this brand from now on. Tonights main event will be featuring Matthew Riddle, who is on fire these days. And he will be squaring off against Timothy Thatcher, who's only did one match in EAM before, when he faced Johnny Gargano at The Criss Cross Collision PPV. Newly signed Tripp Cassidy and Mick Moretti joins forces tonight as they take on The Carnies, and newcomers Dominik Dijakovic and Ilja Dragunov will battle it out to get some bragging rights around here. Let's not waste any more time. Welcome to this weeks edition of Pride!
Singles Matchup
Dominik Dijakovic Vs Ilja Dragunov
Big debut for Dijak. Huge Croatian well over 6ft 5 and could be a stand out in the future. Ilja tries his hardest but fails as Dijak nails a rana, dive and a sitdown powerbomb for the 3 count. Dominant and scary debut.
We see another promotional video, hyping up the upcoming match between Shinsuke Nakamura and WALTER. A match that's already are being called " a dream match coming from nowhere " around social media. It's no doubt going to be one hell of a stiff and hard hitting war. As Japanese Strongstyle clashes with European Strongstyle. This is a match you should not miss, because it has the potential to be an instant classic!
Tag Team Matchup
The Carnies (Kerry Awful & Nick Iggy) Vs Tripp Cassidy & Mick Moretti
Should be a good match. Not the best showing here for either team but they try hard. Lot of double teaming spots and big bumps but at the end Carnies get the victory.
Singles Matchup
Matthew Riddle Vs Timothy Thatcher
Very hard hitting match here from both men who utilise the strong style. Back and forth action as well and some signature moves but at the end Riddle with a stomp and senton gets the victory.
The show is originally schedule to end, but with some time left over, the general manager of Pride makes his way down to the ring, followed by The Pride Champion; Lars Sullivan. Both men enters the ring, and then Drake gestures for a microphone. Drake says that he's got a couple of things he want to tell before the show ends. First of, he's been at the Pride Champion's side all night, and there has been no attacks tonight. So he hopes Lars understand this still make him a suspect. But, with both Will and Pete out of the competition, at least for now, we need to find yet another contestant for Lars at Fight For Glory, and a man that's really been on fire recently are Matthew Riddle. So, at Fight For Glory, it will now be him that challenge Lars for The Pride title. But before Drake almost even manage to finish the announcement, we see pictures from the backstage on the titantron, and like if it was a curse or something, we now see Matthew Riddle out cold on the floor. EMT's are already at his aid. Drake now realize it could not have been Lars. Since he's been with him all night, and he is standing in the ring with him right now. Drake tell Lars to stay where he is and leaves the ring. He makes his way up the ramp and leaves for backstage. But.... suddenly we see something huge walking by on the titantron, and that something or someone are carrying The Pride Title. And suddenly, like somebody just threw a ragdoll away, Drake comes back trough the entrance and crashes on the stage with great force. Lars has now left the ring and is on his way up the ramp when someone gargantuan walks out on the stage. When people realize who it is, the buzz in the arena grows to real racket. Out on the stage, with the Pride Championship in his hands are Braun Strowman! Lars stops dead in his tracks, halfway up the rampway. The show ends with Braun and Lars having a stare down and Braun lifting the Pride strap up pointing at it, then at a FFG sign in the audience...
Wow he’s baccck now it all makes sense. Was actually thinking Drake could end up fighting him as a way to leave but it was Braun nice. Who can forgot Supersplash.
