Live from The Hammerstein Ballroom, New York/USA
Show opens with a recap of recent weeks as we are just two weeks away from Grandslam 15! WOW! It will be such a big event. 24 hours live! Something like this has never been done before. Many matches are already confirmed for the event, but more are sure to be added in the two next weeks. We will surely also get updates on special guests/celebrities who will attend the show, as EAM really wants this to break all records! We then get the announcement that two more matches are officially added to the Grandslam card. And that is two Feast Or Fired matchups. One for the boys, and one for the girls. This gives middle-carders a chance to shine on the big dance floor, but it also features a double purpose, because new season, means new roster...
Wow two feast or fired thought only one should be fun and will help book the future and change it.
Things have been happening on social media the last couple of weeks, and wrestling show reviewers W3 and What Culture Wrestling, has started to give each other though time since it was announced they where going to attend the show. Some of the guys in each faction are actually semi-active wrestlers, and this has shaken up the question if there is going to be more than a quarrel between these two channels on youtube. Are we maybe gonna get a rasslin' match out of all this? One thing is for certain, the wrestling fanboys and girls are buzzing all over social media, and both W3 and What Culture Wrestling used everything to fuel each others fires.
Should be interesting to see what happens. Maybe one youtube gets banned!.
We then get the news that UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal, who's the current holder of the symbolic " BMF " Title belt in UFC, has been throwing shit about Khabib on social media after his departure from MMA to Pro Wrestling. He has even gone so far that to put his BMF title on the line against Khabib at one point, but Khabib has not bothered about replying to the challenges or the shit. Until now... On a sports show where Khabib was attending, he got the same question from the reporter as so many silly reporters has said before. Only putting more bullets behind Masvidal's challenges. Khabib says he chose to go to the pro wrestling business, because it is a business that he respects. And further more, he now has a boss that he can respect. Dana White is an asshole, and does not deserve all the gold and glory. Khabib would never go back to UFC. But, after some thinking, bringing the BMF title to EAM does not sound like a bad idea at all..... We cut to the Jamboree vignette...
UFC vs EAM. Khabib vs Masvidal. Bad Mother Fu**er Belt!.
Tag Team Matchup
War Raiders (Hanson & Rowe) Vs Mustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate)
Lot of great action, high flying, double team, big bumps and spots from all involved. Some signature, finishing moves as well. At the end of the match the Raiders get the win after a Raider Bomb and Viking Experience but Mountain look good.
We go backstage where we hook up with Marty Scurll. He cut's a promo, talking about the upcoming Grandslam, and how his guys in The Villain enterprises will feast on the opportunities given to them. While him, their leader, have been given a more important task. A nice black bird told him last night, that he is scheduled to defend his NWA Title at Grandslam. Then he wonders, how has not he, the champion, heard about this until now? He wants to make it perfectly clear, that the NWA title is not under EAM jurisdiction, so they cannot just come here and demand him to defend the title at their biggest show, just because he is signed with them as well as with NWA...
Nice tease with feast and those matches can have a lot of people in them. Another title match but against who.
Singles Matchup
" Filthy " Tom Lawlor Vs Velveteen Dream
Kind of sad how Dream has fallen but not everybody has be at the top all the time. Lawlor gets some moves in and he’s clearly looking at that BMF belt after Grandslam. Dream gets the win after the Dream Machine but Lawlor looks good.
We cut to the backstage where we hook up with Rey Mysterio and El Hijo de Rey Mysterio. We haven't seen these guys in some time. Actually not since their match against Lucha Bros in Turkmenistan. It seems they are in a bit of an argument when The EAM Tag Team Champions; The Lucha Bros walks by. It's some awkwards silence before Pentagon and Rey says something in spanish only to get it back from Rey. When Pentagon and Fenix has left, Rey and En Hijo continue their quarrel, and it seems they have come to a in-pas, where none of them comes any further even though they continue to argument for their case. It seems as the whole discussion has something with the rights of the Rey Mysterio name. As the rumors says, Rey might face retirement soon, and this whole thing might have come up as El Hijo might think he owns the rights to the name as Rey retires. Something it seems Rey does not agree with. We can hear them all the way as they walk down the corridoor, until they leave for out of sight...
Hmm interesting. Rey retirement would make sense and possibly against Hijo would be huge. Maybe even mask match I don’t know but makes sense and of course Lucha Bros have a TLC match to worry about!.
Singles Matchup
Brian Cage Vs Mike Kanellis
Haha funny match as Cage throws Mike around like a child that’s misbehaved...
As the match starts, the focus of the guys in the ring are quickly drawn to their women outside the ring. Melissa and Maria are not at all friends. Not only have Maria made Melissa's life as a ring announcer hard many times, but in return, Melissa defeated her for The Primetime Bitch Championship. It escalates into a catfight outside, but the guys, a bit distracted offcourse, continue to go at each other. Remember, Brian has not really interfered in Melissa and Maria's feud more than once I think, it's not a beef he is very familair with. But a feud that has been going on for a while. Is this a re-ignition? Right before Grandslam.....
Ends in a no contest as they try to separate their women. Possible tag match makes perfect sense. Been a long feud and finishing it off at Grandslam would make sense.
***********************
We get another promotional video for Grandslam, but this is something else. We see clips from strongman contests, and we can see the English monster Eddie Hall, and The Icelander, Hafthor. Competing to be the strongest man in the world is no picnic, but there is one thing these two men have nevere competed in. And that is the sort of competition where one wins by using his strength of his arms to physically beat his foe down. A boxing match..... This has been browing for months now, with Hall challenging Hafthor, first mostly as a joke. But, as time went by, this also became a thing people talked about, and now it seems it might be a reality. We see a clip from a show where Hafthor talks about everyting he has done in his career. From strongman, to wrestling, to game of thrones. And it would actually be pretty interesting to see if he has what it takes, because he's gotta be honest. When you have never done a thing before, you are either damn good at it the first time you try. Or you you fail miserably. And something like this is a big decision to take. So many promotions etc. would want to promote and host this if this became a thing. And that's why this has taken Hafthor so long. So long to finally give Hall an honest answer to his somewhat jokely challenge, that grew into a monster. Hafthor wants to do it! But there is only one place that he would do it. In EAM Promotions, at Grandslam!
Wow awesome Hall vs Hafthor Boxing match!?. Grandslam has everything, Boxing, MMA and wrestling!. In the world right now people are speaking about possible matches like Khabib vs Conor 2, Tyson vs Holyfield, Fury vs Wilder 3, Fury vs Joshua and Hall vs Hafthor have all been mentioned!.
5-On-5 Matchup
The Dynasty (MJF,Hammerstone, Holliday, Medina & EC3 Vs The Golden Monkey Brotherhood (London,Kendrick,PAC,Angelico,Jack Evans)
Another huge match. All look good. Back and forth action, high flying, signature and finishing moves. Big bumps and spots. Dives to the outside and can you top this shit!. At the end of the match Monkey look good with the SSP/Slice Bread/450/Stomp and 630 combo taking everyone out but just not enough as MJF with a cheap lousy lowblow on Kendrick and roll up for the 3!. Big win and MJF looks good going into Grandslam but what is this. He goes into the fans and grabs a Swiss flag then spits on it and stomps on it pretending that it’s Cesaro!. Complete disrespect and even more build up to Cesaro vs MJF!. Just so much and many matches to build.
As we get back from commercial break and are about to go to our main event for tonight, the commentator tells us that words from the back has it that something is happening backtage. Camera cut's to the backstage and what we see is somewhat horrifying. El Hijo de Rey Mysterio are choking Rey out while trying to remove his mask in front of a row of people. Security tries to stop him, but El Hijo only chokes harder, screaming to them in spanish to keep their hands off. Most of Rey's mask are ripped, and we can see he is starting to turn blue. El Hijo then releases his grip and Rey falls down on the floor, lifeless. El Hijo backs off, but still making it perfectly clear to the security people that if they try any funny business, they will suffer the same fate. EMT's run to Rey's aid as we cut back to the arena. The commentators try to put words on what they just saw, but are flabbergasted by the recent events. Before they manage to say much, music cranks the arena speakers and Golden Lovers makes their way out on the stage for our main event of the evening...
Damn big thing. Makes sense to me Rey vs Rey possible retirement and mask match would be huge. Obviously not the biggest name for Rey’s possible last match but it makes sense.
Tag Team Matchup
Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi) Vs The Young Bucks
Superkicks start the match off very quickly but a lot of quick reversals and bumps...
The match goes quickly out of hand and the two teams takes the fight backstage and it quickly turns out as a doble count out. The fans booo this, but the action continues backstage as the cameramen has hooked up with the four men. The brawl continues....
....they start throwing each other into chairs, tables and ladders backstage with officials trying to stop them as the show comes to an end.
