This weekend, IMPACT Wrestling prepares to tape their 1000th episode. For this occasion, several alumni will be making special appearances, and in some cases, returning to the ring.
In celebration of the Knockouts Division, IMPACT Wrestling has announced a ten-woman tag team match featuring talent of the past and present. As such, Jordynne Grace and Knockouts Champion Trinity will have two Knockouts legends in their corner as they team up with Gail Kim, Awesome Kong, and a mystery partner. The other side of the matchup will see Deonna Purrazzo, Gisele Shaw, and Savannah Evans work with a returning Angelina Love, and one other teammate.
With IMPACT 1000 integrating alumni into the mix, MuscleManMalcolm recently asked Trinity which legends she'd be interested in defending her Knockouts World Championship against. A few names instantly came to Trinity's mind.
"There are some good legends. One would be Mickie [James]," Trinity said. "Mickie is just iconic, and we never really got to do much in WWE together. So definitely, Mickie would maybe be at the top of my list. Melina is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time. To just be in the ring with her at some point in my career, in some way, shape, or form, is a dream of mine. I would love that. I get to accomplish one of those dreams with [Awesome] Kong [this] week. To be in the ring with her is going to be so awesome. I'm so excited about her return."
Amongst the current crop of talent, Trinity also noted that she'd like to tangle up with former Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace as well.
"Jordynne Grace is another favorite of mine, but I gotta get my weight up first before I get to mess with her," Trinity said. "She is strong and beautiful, and I am super excited about her return as well. I just feel like the options are endless. The talent there is very great, and the talent that comes through there is great. I feel like, each match, I'm pushed to a new limit, and being able to feud with Deonna Purrazzo has just been such a -- man, she's just so good. She's so good, and I don't think she gets the credit and flowers that she deserves."
