Jeff Hardy has had an interesting year. He made his surprise return to Dynamite in April. He had been out of action following a DUI arrest and had to complete rehab as one of the conditions to come back to work.

Upon his return, he joined a months-long storyline that included his brother Matt and Isiah Kassidy (who would later become Brother Zay, following a trip to the Hardy Compound) against The Firm. While he returned to AEW, he was recovering from eye surgery. Even when he was in "The Firm Deletion" at the Hardy Compound, he was still limited in what he was allowed to do.

Jeff was a guest on the 100th episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast. They discussed several topics including frustrations with their booking over the last four months.

Jeff spoke about experiencing double vision, even after surgery.

“My biggest challenge has been the eye surgery I had back in March, the double vision, so that’s still my biggest fear. I can see where I need to see. The double vision is still there. For example, leaning back in bed and trying to watch TV. Even looking at the camera now, it’s doubling up on me a little bit. But to the left, it’s where it all started. It's pretty much gone, so I can see where I need to in the wrestling ring. I just need to do more matches. More matches like tonight where I’m actually excited to go out there and perform."

The Hardys along with Brother Zay competed on the 11/29 episode of Dynamite against Top Flight and Action Andretti. It was Dante Martin's first match back since being injured 8 months ago. The Hardys and Zay took the loss.
