AJ Francis (formerly known as Top Dolla in WWE) has been crowned the TNA Digital Media Championship.

During last night's 20th Anniversary edition of TNA Impact, Francis emerged victorious over Laredo Kid to capture the TNA Digital Media title. This marks his first title win in the promotion.

In the final moments of the match, Francis' First Class teammate Rich Swann distracted Kid, who hit a dive onto Swann. This helped AJ Francis to capitalize and hit his finisher to score the pinfall win and secure the title. Following the win, Francis was involved in a backstage segment where he bragged about his title victory as he had Swann and wrestling content creator, Brandon Collymore.

AJ Francis has become the 10th Digital Media Champion and has joined the list of incredible wrestlers, such as Jordynne Grace, Matt Cardona, Rich Swann, Brian Myers, Joe Hendry, Kenny King, Tommy Dreamer, Crazzy Steve and Laredo Kid.

Before dropping the title to Francis, Laredo Kid had one successful defense of the title. He had won the title after defeating Crazzy Steve on the Countdown to Rebellion pre-show on April 20.

Meanwhile, Francis had two separate stints with WWE as Top Dolla in the Hit Row stable. He had decent run in NXT and competed on SmackDown from 2020 to 2021 and again from 2022 to 2023. He was eventually let go from the company during the round of cuts in September 2023. After his non-compete clause expired, Francis invaded a GCW event. He also recently competed at MLW Battle Riot where he faced Alex Kane in a Ritual Combat Matc in a losing effort. He has now signed a contract with TNA Wrestling and the title win indicates major plans for him in the promotion.
