    Angry WWE RAW Live Coverage - December 30th, 2024




    CM Punk and Seth “Freakin” Rollins primed for final face-to-face

    With just one week until their main event match at the Raw on Netflix Premiere, CM Punk and Seth “Freakin” Rollins will be under the same roof one final time. The two adversaries have not minced words, and their final face-to-face is sure to leave you on the edge of your seat. What will these two bitter enemies say to each other?





    – Seth Rollins arrives at the arena and we see CM Punk arriving as well. Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore welcome us to the final RAW on the USA Network as New Day make their way out to the ring.

    Kofi Kingston immediately calls for their music to be cut off and looks to continue to speak, but fans interrupt him by raining down boos on him and Xavier Woods. Kingston and Woods try telling fans that they have a limited amount of time to speak, but fans continue raining down boos on them.

    Jey Uso's music hits and he makes his way out. Woods asks fans if they look Jey, and fans cheer. Woods tells Jey that they go way back and looks to continue speaking, but fans continue booing him and Kingston. Jey says Woods is right and he goes way back with him and Kingston, then says he only has one thing to tell them: New Day sucks. Kingston and Woods then step out of the ring as Jey leads fans in a New Day sucks chant.

    Jey then calls Drew McIntyre out of the ring due to their recent animosity, but Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga appear on the Titan Tron instead. Sikoa tells Jey he did what he had to in order to get Roman Reigns' attention, and says he and Jimmy Uso made a mistake siding with Reigns rather than him. He expresses his confidence in winning his Tribal Combat match against Reigns next week before McIntyre runs to the ring through the crowd and clocks Jey from behind. He continues beating down Jey and sets up for a Claymore Kick, but Jey intercepts him with a superkick. McIntyre levels Jey with a Glasgow Kiss and sets up for the Claymore Kick, but officials run down to the ring to check on Jey prevent him from landing the maneuver. He retreats up the ramp, but runs back into the ring to take a few more shots on Jey.

    – Cathy Kelley is backstage with American Made and Gable is set to destroy Otis and he's going to show Otis why the master stays master.

    Chad Gable (w/ American Made) vs. Otis (w/ Alpha Academy)

    The bell rings and Gable clocks Otis from behind. He follows it up with a few chops, but Otis levels Gable with a shoulder tackle and follows it up with a Gorilla Press. Gable fires off right hands on Otis, but Otis whips Gable into the corner face first and sends him crashing into the opposite one. Otis charges at Gable, but Gable sends him crashing into the ring post shoulder first and follows it up with a Dragon Screw.

    Gable sends Otis' knee crashing into the mat, then connects with a dropkick on him. Otis looks to respond with a standing splash, but Gable moves out of the way and ascends to the top. He looks to land a diving headbutt, but Otis moves out of the way to avoid it and levels Gable with a shoulder. He delivers The Caterpillar and goes for a pin, but American Made put Gable's foot on the bottom rope to break the fall. Akira Tozawa confronts Julius Creed and Brutus Creed on the outside, but Otis sends The Creed Brothers crashing into the timekeeper's area as Maxxine Dupri attacks Ivy Nile.

    Otis slides back inside the ring, but Gable is waiting for him with an Ankle Lock on Otis. The Creed Brothers look to interfere, but Otis drags them both into the ring and sends Gable crashing into them with a suplex. He follows it up with a bodyslam to Gable and cinches in an Ankle Lock on him. Gable escapes, then sends Otis crashing into the middle rope and hits a German suplex on him. He ascends to the top rope and looks to fly, but Otis levels him. Nile grabs Otis' ankle from the outside, opening the door for Gable to cinch in the Ankle Lock on Otis for the win.

    Winner: Chad Gable

    – A video package for the Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan saga plays.

    – The Judgement Day is backstage and Dom tells them that Liv has something up her sleeve. Raquel isn't sure if Liv does and Balor says Liv has a plan for everything and Lady Liv has Ripley under control.

    – Adam Pearce and CM Punk talk backstage and we see Zoey Stark getting prepped for her match, Dakota Kai also warms up backstage.

    – R-Truth then makes his way down to the ring. Pete Dunne blindsides Truth on the ramp ahead of their scheduled match and fires off right hands on him. Officials separate the two men and send Dunne to the back.

    – Backstage Cathy Kelley talks to Dakota Kai about her semi finals match and Iyo Sky talks about her match against Lyra Valkyria.

    – Zoey Stark then makes her way out to the ring. Dakota Kai follows.

    Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament Semi-Final Match: Zoey Stark vs. Dakota Kai

    The bell rings and Kai delivers a pump kick to Stark. She levels her, then pulls her out of the ring and delivers another pump kick to the side of her head as Stark is draped on the ring apron. Stark gets Kai on her shoulders, but Kai escapes and rocks her with an enzuigiri.

    Back from the break, Stark levels Kai with a clothesline. Kai rocks Stark with a forearm and fires off several more on her, then trips her and delivers a pair of boots to her head in the corner. Kai rolls up Stark, but Stark kicks out and gets Kai up on her shoulders. She connects with a rolling Death Valley Driver and follows it up with a kick, then goes for a pin but Kai kicks out. Stark flies off the top rope, but Kai intercepts her with a superkick and gets her up on her shoulders. She then sends her crashing into the mat with a Pele Kick for the win.

    Winner: Dakota Kai

    – Judgment Day then makes their way down to the ring. The War Raiders and Damian Priest follow.

    Judgment Day vs. The War Raiders and Damian Priest

    Finn Balor and Priest begin the action. The bell rings and Balor immediately tags out to JD McDonagh. Priest wears down McDonagh, then tags in Erik. Erik sends McDonagh crashing into the mat and levels an interfering Balor and Dominik Mysterio. Ivar then tags in, and Erik bodyslams him into McDonagh. Ivar fires off right and left hands on McDonagh in the corner, then tags Erik back in.

    Erik whips McDonagh into the corner, then tags in Ivar. Ivar immediately tags back out to Erik, and Erik tosses McDonagh over to Ivar. Balor saves McDonagh, but The War Raiders then sent McDonagh and Balor crashing into the announce desk face first.

    Back from the break, Balor sends Erik crashing into the mat with his signature elbow drop, then takes a cheap shot at Priest on the apron. Ivar tags in and sends an interfering McDonagh crashing into the mat with a back body drop, then delivers a splash to Balor and follows it up with a variation on a senton. He looks to land a Bronco Buster, but Balor moves out of the way.

    Priest and Dominik tag in, and Priest drags Dominik into the ring. He sends him crashing into the mat with an elevated flatliner and follows it up with a clothesline, then looks to land South of Heaven. Carlito hops up on the apron to distract Priest, and Dominik delivers a chop block to him. Erik levels Carlito as Ivar takes down McDonagh with a crossbody into the barricade. Dominik sends Priest crashing into the mat with a hurricanrana, but Priest responds with South of Heaven for the win.

    Winners: The War Raiders and Damian Priest

    – After the match, Judgment Day gets in a few extra shots on Priest before The War Raiders come to his aid.

    – Jey Uso walks backstage, Adam Pearce comes up to him and tells him while Drew isn't in the arena right now, next week Uso has his match against McIntyre.

    – CM Punk and Seth Rollins are seen backstage prepping for their chat before their match next week.

    – Ludwig Kaiser is in the ring and he demands gratitude for Ludwig Kaiser. He says he belongs at the top of the food chain in the WWE. Kaiser demands Bron Breakker to come down with his title. Sheamus' music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Sheamus beelines to the ring and Kaiser jumps him. Sheamus gets Kaiser on the mat and Kaiser eye gauges Sheamus but Sheamus is too tough and takes down Kaiser. Kaiser is Brogue kicked out of the ring.

    – LWO talks to Alpha Academy. After the Academy leaves New Day comes up and talks smack to Rey Mysterio. Mysterio tells New Day they should settle this in the ring. New Day agrees.

    – IYO SKY then makes her way out to the ring. Lyra Valkyria follows.

    Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament Semi-Final Match: Iyo Sky vs. Lyra Valkyria

    The bell rings and the two lock up. They go back and forth with one another before Valkyria rolls up SKY. SKY kicks out as we see Dakota Kai watching the action from a box. Valkyria locks in a full body submission on SKY, then sends both of SKY's knees crashing into the mat and follows it up with a dropkick through the middle rope. Valkyria dumps SKY back inside the ring, but SKY catches her with a boot. She lands a Dragon Screw on her off the middle rope, then continues wearing down her knee.

    Back from the break, SKY connects with a missile dropkick on Valkyria off the top rope. Valkyria sends SKY crashing into the mat with a suplex, but SKY responds with a German suplex to her and goes for a pin. Valkyria kicks out, and the two teeter on the top rope before SKY connects with a Canadian Destroyer on Valkyria and goes for a pin. Valkyria kicks out.

    SKY delivers a moonsault off the top rope to Valkyria on the outside, then dumps her back in the ring and hits a meteora on Valkyria. She sets up for the Over The Moonsault, but Valkyria avoids it and SKY rolls her up. Valkyria counters into a pinfall of her own for the win.

    Winner: Lyra Valkyria

    – Seth "Freakin" Rollins then makes his way out to the ring.

    Rollins welcomes fans to Monday Night Rollins and introduces himself, then addresses his match against CM Punk next week. He says Punk turned his back on fans and took his ball home, but Punk's music hits and he makes his way out.

    Punk clarifies to Rollins that he left WWE because he was sick and tired, and Rollins is only upset because he abandoned him rather than the fan. He says if Rollins wants to talk about the last ten years, then they can talk about all the injuries Rollins has sustained within that time. He says he came back to WWE in order to make money, but Rollins reminds Punk of everything he publicly said after he left WWE and the fact that he went to work for the competition in AEW. Rollins says Punk can't pick and choose sides as he pleases and come back to WWE when they're on the winning side of things.

    Punk says the guy who was in charge of AEW hated Rollins, then says he's trying to play the victim in a situation that he created. He warns Rollins that he'll bring the beating to him next week, but Rollins calls Punk a cancer to the locker room and the professional wrestling business. He says the only way to defeat cancer is to cut it out and warns Punk that he'll burn him to the ground. The two then stare each other down as the show goes off the air.
