Angry AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest Live Coverage - June 4th, 2025

    AEW Dynamite

Kenny Omega defends the International Title against Brody King, Mascara Dorada and Claudio Castagnoli. World Champion Jon Moxley battles Mark Briscoe.

    – Excalibur, Taz, and Ian Riccaboni greet audiences at home before Tony Schiavone introduces Will Ospreay and he makes his way to the ring.

Schiavone throws it to a confrontation between Ospreay and Swerve Strickland last week about teaming up to take down The Death Riders along with "Hangman" Adam Page. Ospreay says it's not his brightest idea to get Page and Strickland on the same page because they're enemies, but Jon Moxley is the real enemy. He says Strickland and Page can kill each other once they get the AEW World Championship back.

Ospreay says he's giving Page his word and that means something, then reiterates his commitment and determination to get abc the AEW World Championship. He tells Strickland to listen to him and says he loves him, but he will prioritize AEW first and challenges Strickland to a match.

CRU's music hits, and Action Andretti and Lio Rush make their way out. Rush says he loves Ospreay as do the fans, then says if there's one thing he knows about Brits, it's that they talk a lot. He says they just got off a 14 hour flight from Japan and while Andretti is tired, he has some anger in him. He then says that Ospreay is his least favorite part about AEW. Ospreay invites Rush to fight him in the ring on Collision.

    – The Death Riders then make their way out to the ring. Mark Briscoe follows.

Jon Moxley (w/ Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta) vs. Mark Briscoe

The bell rings and the two lock up. The action spills out of the ring, and Briscoe fires off chops and strikes on Moxley. He rains down right hands on him and returns inside the ring with him, but Moxley wears down Briscoe and jams his boot into the back of his neck.

Mark drags Moxley out of the ring, then lands a dropkick on him through the middle rope. Yuta gets in Briscoe's face, but Briscoe delivers a stomp to him. He looks to fly off the apron to level Moxley, but Moxley moves out of the way and sends him crashing into the floor. Yuta then sends Briscoe crashing into the ring post while the referee is distracted by Shafir and Moxley. Moxley fires off right hands on Briscoe in the corner.

Back from the break, Briscoe fires off chops on Moxley's chest and flies through the ropes to level Moxley on the outside. He dumps Moxley back in the ring and levels him with a basement clothesline, and the two men exchange right hands with one another before Briscoe levels Moxley with a clothesline. He looks to land Froggy Bow, but Moxley counters into a Bulldog Choke.

Briscoe gets his foot on the bottom rope to break the hold, then delivers an inverted Death Valley Driver on Moxley and follows it up with a piledriver. Moxley cinches in the Bulldog Choke on Briscoe, but Briscoe counters into a pinfall. Moxley cinches the hold back in for the win.

    Winner: Jon Moxley

    – A special video package airs to announce Mexican pro wrestling legend Mistico will be appearing at next week's AEW Summer Blockbuster special edition of AEW Dynamite from Portland, Oregon. After it wraps up, Mercedes Mone's "CEO" theme hits. Out she comes for special guest commentary of the next match.

    – Mercedes Mone then makes her way to enjoy a steak dinner for the upcoming match. Skye Blue, Julia Hart, Mina Shirakawa, and Toni Storm follow.

Shirakawa and Blue begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Shirakawa rocks Blue with a kick, then follows it up with a Russian Leg Sweep and tags in Storm. Storm and Shirakawa double team on Blue, and Storm follows it up with a suplex before she tags in Shirakawa. Blue lands a handspring back elbow on Shirakawa in the corner, then tags in Hart.

Back from the break, Hart tags in and delivers an Old School to Shirakawa off the top rope. She lands a hair whip on Shirakawa, but Shirakawa flies off the top rope and sends Hart crashing into the top rope. Storm and Blue tag in, and Storm connects with a Thesz Press on Blue. She fires off right hands on her, then sends her crashing into the mat with a sit-out powerbomb. Shirakawa then delivers a spinning backfist on Hart.

Storm and Shirakawa land simultaneously German suplexes on Hart and Blue, and Storm cinches in a submission on Blue. Blue taps out.

Winners: Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa

    – After the match, Storm stares down Mone and takes a big bite out of her steak. She eats some of her salad and takes a sip of her wine.

    – From there, the show shifts backstage, where we see Will Ospreay for the second time tonight. Ospreay is interviewed and quickly interrupted by MJF, who looks for any opportunity to point out that Will can’t beat Hangman and can’t get Page and Strickland to work together.

Ospreay scoffs at this, saying MJF doesn’t want Adam to win because he can’t beat him either. He starts to walk off when Max asks him how his son is doing, which riles him up, but the Hurt Syndicate pop in to keep him from getting some revenge. MVP says that the Hurt Syndicate have business elsewhere tonight. MVP wishes Ospreay the best of luck, and the show heads into a commercial break.

    – The Hurt Syndicate then make their way to the ring.

MVP says he has an official announcement on behalf of The Hurt Syndicate, then asks for Bobby Lashley's opinion of Denver given that he used to live there. Lashley gives it a thumbs down, and MVP says that's why he left. He says AEW is where the best wrestle and he's standing in the ring with the best tag team in the world. He says no team from any company can dethrone Lashley and Benjamin as AEW World Tag Team Champions, and continues to gloat about how great the pair are.

MVP hands the microphone over to MJF, then says he wants gold like Lashley and Benjamin have and has his eye on the AEW World Championship. He says in order to regain the AEW World Championship, he has to wrestle a little more. He then calls out Mistico, then calls himself a mega star and says Mistico is a big fish in a small pond. He says he's feeling philanthropic, then says he'll be watching Mistico's match next as he considers whether or not he'll wrestle him at AEW Grand Slam: Mexico.

"Speedball" Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight, and Komander then make their way out to the ring. MVP asks what they want, and Komander says MJF disrespected Mistico, Lucha Libre, and himself. Bailey says The Hurt Syndicate wanted the best, and himself, Komander, and Knight are a group of international beasts. Knight demands a fight from The Hurt Syndicate tonight, but MVP declines to give him one because they haven't earned it. He tells Bailey, Knight, and Komander that they have to earn it.

    – La Faccion Ingobernable then make their way to the ring.

Kevin Knight, Speedball Mike Bailey and Komander vs. La Faccion Ingobernable

Knight and Rush begin the action. The bell rings and Bailey runs over Rush with a boot. The Beast Mortos takes down Bailey, but Komander levels him. Dralistico goes after Komander and sends him crashing into the commentary as everyone else begins brawling on the outside.

Dralistico sends Komander crashing into the ring post, and dumps him back in the ring. Bailey and Rush tag in and Rush levels Bailey with a forearm. Rush, Dralistico, and Mortos take turns landing splashes on Bailey in the corner and continue triple teaming on him, then dump him over the top rope to level Knight and Komander on the outside.

Back from the break, Komander delivers a Canadian Destroyer to Mortos but Dralistico delivers a springboard Canadian Destroyer to Komander. Knight and Rush tag in, and Knight fires off chops on Rush. He lands a stomp on him, but Rush fires off strikes on him and stomps on him in the corner.

La Faccion Ingobernable look to triple team on Bailey, Komander, and Knight, but Bailey, Komander, and Knight land a triple dropkick on all three men and take flight to level La Faccion Ingobernable on the outside. Rush lands a suplex on Komander, and Mortos follows it up with a Samoan Drop. Dralistoco delivers a Crucifix Bomb, and Mortos (who has tagged in) pins Komander. Komander kicks out.

Bailey tags in and lands a modified moonsault on Mortos. He pins him, but Rush breaks the fall. Knight dropkicks Rush out of the ring, and Bailey trips Mortos. Bailey lands a superkick on Mortos, then double teams on Knight. Bailey lands a roundhouse kick on Mortos, and Komander walks the ropes. He flies out of the ring to level Rush and Dralistico on the outside, and Knight delivers the UFO Splash to Mortos for the win.

Winners: Kevin Knight, "Speedball" Mike Bailey" and Komander

    – After the match, The Hurt Syndicate make their way back out to ringside. MVP says Knight, Bailey, and Komander have earend a trios match against Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MJF in a trios match right now. Lashley and Benjamin go after Knight and Bailey, but Knight and Bailey send them crashing out of the ring. MJF goes after Bailey and Knight, but Komander flies off the top rope to level him.

    – We shoot backstage, where we see The Patriarchy. Christian Cage talks about Nick Wayne’s run in the Best of Super Juniors in Japan. He talks about the grueling schedule and how Nick is the ROH World Television Champion, meaning he doesn’t get a night off as he defends tonight.

Nick says this happened before and it was light work, but Cage says that he wasn’t finished. This match will be a four-way. Cage tells Mother Wayne they should go find a place to lay down, before deciding they want to see this one up close. The brief backstage segment wraps up there.

    – Back from the break, Max Caster is in the ring with a petition to acknowledge that he is the "Best Wrestler Alive". He looks to have the referee sign it, but the referee stands there confused. Caster then proposes a 5 minute Beat The Clock challenge to see who can beat him, and Powerhouse Hobbs answers the call.

    Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Max Caster

The bell rings and Hobbs runs over Caster. Caster looks to fly out of the corner off the middle rope, but Hobbs catches him and delivers a spinebuster to him for the win.

    Winner: Powerhouse Hobbs

AEW International Championship 4 Way Match: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Brody King vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Mascara Dorado

Back inside the arena, it's time for the featured match of the first-half of tonight's four hour special event, and what would likely have been the main event if this were a regular two-hour AEW Dynamite show per usual. The AEW International Championship is on-the-line, as Kenny Omega defends in a four-way.

Brody King makes his entrance to a nice pop from the crowd. Out next is Claudio Castagnoli, who makes a pretty neat entrance from the staircase through the crowd to get to the ring. Mascara Dorada makes his way to ringside as the crowd shows some love for the luchador, but they show even more love for the arrival of Kenny Omega.

Omega settles inside the squared circle and after the formal pre-match ring introductions for the champion and the three challengers, the bell sounds to get this high stakes title tilt officially off-and-running. All four men go at it, with Brody and Claudio being cleared out before Omega and Dorada trade maneuvers.

This continues until Claudio rushes back in the ring to lay them both out. Castagnoli gets blindsided by King, both men heading to the outside where Omega gets the drop on Claudio, and Dorada gets the drop on the lot with a dive. Claudio sends Omega to the barricade before turning his attention to Brody, the two trading forearms before King gets sent to the barricade.

Claudio sets up for a running uppercut…and takes a boot instead by King. Brody goes for a running boot but Dorada tries to get the drop on him, only to be power-bombed onto Claudio by King instead. Brody takes control before being hit with a snap dragon suplex by Kenny onto the floor.

Kenny gets back in the ring, the crowd clapping to the tune of the Terminator theme for a big dive from the Best Bout Machine to the outside. Omega settles in a comfortable offensive lead at that point, as the show shifts gears and heads into a mid-match commercial break.

This time when the show returns, we see Omega and Claudio in the ring, where Omega fights back to take Castagnoli to the mat before heading up top for a moonsault, onto the knees of Claudio. He sends Omega to the corner, but Omega slips away for a snap dragon suplex on Claudio, and then on Dorada as the luchador enters the ring.

Brody comes in and blocks the suplex, sending Kenny to the corner before catching Dorado on his shoulders, and landing a Death Valley Driver of sorts driving Dorada into Omega. But as he turns around, Brody gets caught by Claudio for a cover and a two count.

Claudio goes after Omega in the corner but Kenny fights back, landing a V-Trigger on Castagnoli in the corner. Claudio fights his way up top as Brody comes in to hit Omega, going after Claudio on the turnbuckle before Omega catches King on his shoulders. Brody blocks a One Winged Angel, but Claudio lands a clothesline on King sending him to the mat hard.

Cover by King, but Omega breaks it up. Claudio sends Omega out of the ring before climbing the turnbuckle, but Brody intercepts. Claudio fends him off, sending King to the mat, but Dorada hits a hurricanrana on Claudio. He sends the Swiss Superman away and goes for the cover.

After only getting a two-count, the action continues. Omega catches Dorada looking for a One Winged Angel, but the luchador fights him off before getting taken out by Claudio, who hits laid out by King for a two count. The crowd is electric as King and Claudio fight back to their feet.

Dorada looks for his opening and goes for a cross body to no avail, but he hits a head-scissors instead, before Claudio hits a boot on him. King goes after Claudio but he takes a giant swing for a moment, before Dorada goes for a cover that Castagnoli breaks up. He sends the luchador away with a Neutralizer.

From there, he goes for the cover on King, only for Omega to break the pin up. Dorada catches Omega for a near-fall before Claudio rolls him up for a two count. Dorada gets cut off by Claudio but hits a head-scissors driving him into the mat all the same, and the crowd roars.

He heads up the ropes for a hurricanrana and then a cover, but Omega breaks it up just in time to keep his title alive. Claudio goes after Dorada but is sent over the top rope to the outside, allowing the luchador to hit a shooting star press off the top rope and to the outside. Moments later, Omega hits his One-Winged Angel finisher for the win.

Winner and STILL AEW International Champion: Kenny Omega

    – As Omega celebrates his title defense in the ring in front of an adoring Denver crowd, the AEW Dynamite portion of the annual AEW Fyter Fest special event comes to a close. The commentary team switches over to Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone, and we shoot backstage.

Ricochet is looking for the talent that is willing to give it everything they've got. He'll be keeping an eye on the action in the ring tonight.

Page checks on Ospreay and helps him up. They both fist bump as Ospreay's music plays once again. Things aren't over with Hangman and Ospreay yet, however, as the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament winner grabs a microphone.

Hangman says if Will Ospreay has his back, he will have his. Page says he wants to make one thing clear, he is his own man and he doesn’t need help to win the world championship, not anyone, especially from the worst man to ever walk the planet. He says he doesn’t need help from the man that will go after his family for his own glory. Page then says he will never need or accept help from Swerve Strickland. Page says he will ride into Texas and defeat Jon Moxley. He will hold the title high above his head for all the fans and all of Texas. Page turns around and Jon Moxley is standing behind him.

Both men stare each other down, as Marina Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta of The Death Riders come out through the crowd. Ospreay comes down with chairs and hands one to Hangman.
