The bell rings and Rhodes wastes no time going after McIntyre. McIntyre fires off chops on Rhodes, and the referee begins a ten count when McIntyre steps out of the ring. McIntyre gets back inside just before the ten count ends, then tries to get Rhodes disqualified from the match as an easy way to win. Rhodes refuses to listen to McIntyre.

McIntyre bites Rhodes while the referee isn't looking, then runs over Rhodes with a clothesline and sends him crashing into the ring post. He then sends Rhodes crashing over the barricade and gets back in the ring, then tells the referee to begin a ten count. Rhodes beats it, but McIntyre fires off elbows on Rhodes and follows it up with a belly-to-belly throw.

Rhodes and McIntyre then teeter on the ropes, but Rhodes delivers a superplex to McIntyre. The two men exchange right hands with one another, but Rhodes connects with a scoop powerslam on McIntyre and follows it up with a Disaster Kick. He lands a Cody Cutter on McIntyre, but McIntyre responds with a spinebuster to Rhodes before delivering a powerbomb to him.

McIntyre grabs the Undisputed WWE Championship belt and gets in the ring with it. He invites Rhodes to hit him with it to try to get him to lose via disqualification, but Rhodes opts not to use it and throws it to the referee. McIntyre then blindsides Rhodes with a Claymore Kick and goes for a pin, but Rhodes kicks out.

Back on the outside of the ring, McIntyre looks to land a Claymore Kick on Rhodes that sends him crashing through the announce desk, but Rhodes sees McIntyre coming and lands a strike on his midsection. McIntyre then sends Rhodes crashing off the ring apron and through the announce desk. The referee begins a ten count, but Rhodes beats the count at the last second.

They then begin firing off right hands on one another, but Dominik looks to land a hurricanrana on Rusev. Rusev sees Dominik coming and delivers a powerbomb to him, then delivers a suplex to him and gets on him on one shoulder on the outside. Penta fights off Rusev and sends him crashing on the floor, but Penta trips Rusev. Penta grabs onto his knee, and while the referee checks on him, Dominik grabs a chair. He hands it over to Rusev and pretends that he was hit with it, but Rusev opts to use the chair under the Triple Threat No Disqualification rule and hits Dominik with it.

Rusev sets up for a Machka Kick on Penta, but Penta delivers a Fenix Driver to Rusev. He ascends to the top rope, then looks to fly. Rusev intercepts Penta with a Machka Kick and cinches in The Accolade on Penta. Penta doesn't tap, but the bell sounds and we pan over to see that it was Dominik who rang the bell as a means of preventing Rusev from winning.

Penta grabs the ring bell hammer, then looks to hit Dominik with it. Dominik moves out of the way and hits Rusev, then sends Penta crashing into the ring post and connects with a Frog Splash on Rusev. Dominik then pins Rusev for the win.

Winner and STILL WWE Intercontinental Champion: Dominik Mysterio
