Angry WWE RAW Live Coverage - April 27th, 2026

Roman Reigns Makes His Decision About Jacob Fatu’s Backlash Challenge

Last week, Jacob Fatu emerged to challenge his cousin Roman Reigns to a World Heavyweight Championship Match at WWE Backlash. The Samoan Werewolf then laid waste to The MFTs on SmackDown with The Usos watching. After giving Fatu a week to think about it, The OTC will make his decision about the challenge.

    — The show kicks off with a video recapping Jacob Fatu's Backlash challenge to Roman Reigns last Monday.

    — Flanked by Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso, Reigns appears in another video and says The Usos are the only ones he can trust. He says he doesn't understand where Fatu is coming from, and Jimmy admits that he gets where Fatu is coming from but says that he shouldn't have done what he did last Monday. Jey adds that if Fatu beats Reigns, he takes everything from him including the Ula Fala. He says that there has to be consequences and puts his hands in the middle with Reigns and Jimmy as Reigns says that they're the First Family.

    — Michael Cole and Corey Graves then greet audiences at home as Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring.

Rollins welcomes fans to Monday Night Rollins and introduces himself, then says there's a reason that he lost to GUNTHER at Night One of WrestleMania 42. He says it wasn't because GUNTHER was the better man, then says Roman Reigns is walking around with his World Heavyweight Championship and it's not because Reigns pinned him. He says Bron Breakker was the cause for both of those things and demands that he come to the ring.

Breakker's music hits and he makes his way out. Rollins tells Breakker that he gave him everything and says he handed him the world on a silver platter, but Breakker repaid him by taking away everything from him. He says Breakker was the reason that he had to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship and didn't win at WrestleMania 42, then asks Breakker what he got out of coming for him and how it benefitted him in any way.

Paul Heyman joins Breakker in the ring as Breakker tells Rollins that The Vision fought all of his battles for him. He recalls having to stand in the back with Bronson Reed and listen to Rollins say the same thing over and over again, then says he never needed Rollins or his vision.

Rollins says he wanted to fight the best in the world as World Heavyweight Champion a couple of years ago, then recalls talking to Shawn Michaels to determine who the best in NXT was. He says Michaels told him that it was Breakker, then says he believed that Breakker is a main eventer and the next big money maker in the professional wrestling business. He says other athletes are big, strong, and fast, but Breakker is unique and the most versatile performer he has ever seen during his entire WWE career. He says Breakker has everything except for the mental fortitude, then says he know what it's like to be 28 and think that the professional wrestling business owes one something. He says he knows what it like to make the hard decisions, then says while Breakker tries, he succeeds. He says Breakker betting on himself got him Logan Paul, Austin Theory, private jets, and steak dinners, but tells Breakker that he isn't ready.

Breakker says he was on his way to being a main eventer with or without Rollins, then says Rollins' mind and body are brittle and his should can't handle the weight of a championship anymore. He says he came up short trying to win the World Heavyweight Championship, but can go to bed having known it was against someone who is the "Best In The World". He says Rollins is a future WWE Hall of Famer and says Rollins is the best professional wrestler in the entire world, but he's the second best.

Rollins says if Breakker thinks that he's ready, Backlash is two weeks away and he's willing to give Breakker the opportunity to prove he's ready. He says Breakker isn't even the second best in his family.

    — We then backstage and see Raquel Rodriguez blindside Stephanie Vaquer as Vaquer walks around. Roxanne Perez and Liv Morgan join Rodriguez, and Perez hits Vaquer with a nearby roadcase.

    — Back at ringside, Penta makes his way out. Rusev follows, and Ethan Page makes his way out to watch the upcoming match.

    Penta vs. Rusev

The bell rings and Rusev delivers a boot to Penta's face. He steps on top of Penta as Page applauds Rusev from the outside, but Penta flies over the top rope to level Rusev on the outside.

Penta and Rusev return to the ring, but Rusev sends Penta crashing into the mat spine first. The action spills back out of the ring during the commercial break, and Rusev sends Penta crashing into the announce desk face first. He dumps him back inside the ring and follows him, but Rusev delivers a knee to Penta's head and fires off right hands on him as Penta sits on the top rope.

    Winner: Penta

    — After the match, an angry Rusev blindsides Penta from behind and fires off stomps on him. Page slides into the ring and clocks Penta from behind, then fires off stomps on Penta with Rusev. Je'Von Evans' music hits and he runs out to the ring. He takes out Page and delivers an OG Cutter to Rusev.

    — El Grande Americano cuts a promo with Rayo and Bravo. Americano talks about his mask -vs- mask match in AAA and challenges Rey Mysterio to a match tonight so he can practice and prepare for his lucha match.

    — Becky Lynch then makes her way to the ring.

Lynch says "The Man" and the new Women's Intercontinental Champion has come around to Laredo. She says a new era of her career has begun now that she's won back the Women's Intercontinental Championship, then gloats about putting an end to AJ Lee's reign at WrestleMania 42 and says she became both the first WWE Superstar to win found separate titles at WrestleMania and the first ever three time Women's Intercontinental Championship. She notes that she's also had the most WrestleMania matches of any woman in WWE, then says while she indulges in private jets and tour buses, it's all about showing up in towns like Laredo to show up and show out for common folk. She says the fans want her to defend the title against the best of the best instead of nostalgia acts, then issues an Open Challenge for the Women's Intercontinental Championship to anyone who wishes to answer.

IYO SKY's music hits and she makes her way out. She accept Lynch's Open Challenge, but Lynch asks what SKY accepts because she said that she wanted the best of the best. She says she wanted to fight Rhea Ripley over SKY, but SKY clocks Lynch and fires off stomps on her. Lynch then looks to retreat through the crowd, but Adam Pearce appears to tell Lynch that she will be defending the Women's Intercontinental Championship tonight.

    — OG El Grande Americano and Rey Mysterio are backstage. OG asks Mysterio if Mysterio has his back when he goes against El Grande Americano on May 30th. El Grande, Bravo & Rayo Americano come in and they all start arguing. Mysterio says he won't choose sides and The Americanos leave.

    — Jimmy & Jey Uso are interviewed by Byron Saxton. He asks them about Roman Reigns. LA Knight comes by and tells them they need to be on their own and not be back in the family. Knight says this is his business.

    — Joe Hendry then makes his way to the ring.

Hendry says if you say his name, he has appeared. He says he had a big decision and begins playing a song about choosing what brand he wanted to be part of. He announces that he chosen "Raw" and calls for Logan Paul to be fired, but Paul storms out to the ring along with Austin Theory.

Paul calls himself unfireable and starts calling fans in the live crowd awful, and Theory adds that himself and Paul are winners. Hendry and the live crowd agree that Paul and Theory aren't winners, then says Paul and Theory are prime time losers. Theory says The Vision goes through everybody and hits Hendry with his microphone, but Hendry levels Theory with a clothesline and fires off shoulders on Paul's midsection in the corner. Theory comes to Paul's aid and the pair bear down Hendry, but Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins come to Hendry's aid. Ford ascends to the top rope and looks to fly, but Paul pulls Theory out of the ring before he can do so.

    — Adam Pearce talks to Grayson Waller. Waller asks for his opportunity. Pearce tells Waller that his next match I'll be with Oba Femi.

    — Joe Hendry thanks Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins for their help and Hendry leaves. Seth Rollins comes by to talk to them and they tell Rollins that helping him last week has nothing to do with Rollins and they leave.

During the commercial break, Grande wears down Rey with a submission hold. Rey escapes and pins Grande, but Grande kicks out and Rey rains down right hands on him in the corner.

Rey connects with a back body drop on Grande back from the break, but Grande whips Rey into the corner spine first. Rey fends off Ray and flies over the top rope from the ring apron, but Grande moves out of the way and looks to slide a piece of metal into the mask.

OG El Grande Americano appears and grabs the metal from Grande. This opens the door for Rey to dial it up for a 619 and follow it up with a Frog Splash over the top rope from the ring apron for the win.

    Winner: Rey Mysterio

    — After the match, Rey grabs the piece of metal and takes it for himself. OG Grande trips up Grande, and the pair begin brawling in the ring. Security and officials run out to the ring to get the two men separated.

    — Jacob Fatu is seen backstage waiting to see if Roman Reigns is giving him a title opportunity.

    — A backstage promo for Asuka plays. She calls out Iyo Sky as they now have a match at Backlash.

    — Oba Femi walks backstage before a commercial break - he's heading to the ring for his match.

    Oba Femi vs. Grayson Waller

The bell rings and Femi fires off right hands on Waller. He delivers an uppercut to him in the corner, but Waller sends Femi's head bouncing off the top rope and sets up for a rolling Stunner. Femi sees Waller coming and delivers another uppercut on him, then follows it up with Fall From Grace for the win.

    Winner: Oba Femi

    — After the match, Femi grabs a microphone and says that he took it upon himself to find a solution to his problem of not having anyone worthy on the roster to face him. He announces that he's issuing an Open Challenge to anyone who wishes to prove themself against him, but warns them that he will be merciless and relentless and says they will be stepping into the ring with "The Ruler".

We then head over to Judgment Day's club house, where Liv Morgan tells Roxanne Perez that Finn Balor always put himself above Judgment Day and informs her that she plans on being in her and Raquel Rodriguez's corner tonight. After Morgan leaves, Balor sneaks into the club house and tells Perez that she can't trust Morgan. Perez responds by telling Balor that she's in with Judgment Day and chooses not to listen to his advice.
