WWE has hired Hunter Selby as its new Director of Show Production and Design. Selby confirmed the appointment on LinkedIn, expressing excitement about the role.
"I'm excited to share that I've accepted a new position as Director of Show Production and Design at WWE," Selby wrote. "I'm looking forward to this new chapter, and to working on some designs that will hopefully be debuting on screens soon!"
Selby brings significant television production experience to WWE. He earned three Emmy Award nominations for his work on variety series, including American Idol in 2023 and 2025, as well as SNL50: The Homecoming Concert.
The hiring continues WWE's ongoing focus on refining its visual presentation. The company has implemented several production and structural changes in recent years across its programming.
SmackDown recently updated its promotional graphics ahead of last week's episode. The changes signal that visual updates remain a priority for the company's broadcast presentation.
WWE's next Premium Live Event, Backlash, takes place May 9 in Tampa. John Cena has confirmed his appearance for the show, teasing a major announcement expected to impact the WWE experience for fans.
