WWE Announces AAA TripleMania Venue Change In Las Vegas

WWE has announced a venue change for AAA TripleMania 34 in Las Vegas.

On June 1, 2026, WWE officially announced the first-ever two-night, two-country AAA TripleMania event. The promotion revealed that night one will take place at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Friday, September 11. Night two will emanate from Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Sunday, September 13.

However, WWE has now announced via an official press release that the venue for night one has been changed. The new venue is the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The company decided to move the previously sold-out event to a larger venue due to unprecedented demand.

WWE and AAA have already announced the Copa Bardahl battle royal, a fatal four-way match for the AAA Latin American Championship. Also, El Grande Americano vs. Dominik Mysterio for the Mega Championship for the two-night event so far.

Despite the venue change, WWE has clarified that the date and start time will remain unchanged. Night two will take place in Mexico City as planned. Fans won’t have to change their travel schedules. This is due to the need to only go to a different building about 1.5 miles away.

“To meet the unprecedented demand for the first-ever two-night, two-country Triplemanía this September, lucha libre promotion AAA today announced that the previously sold-out Friday, September 11 event scheduled for Luxor in Las Vegas will now be held at the iconic MGM Grand Garden Arena. The event date and start time will remain unchanged.

“An exclusive WWE presale for tickets to the MGM Grand Garden Arena will begin Monday, August 3 at 10am PT ahead of the general public on sale beginning Tuesday, August 4 at 10am PT, via AXS.com. Fans who have already purchased tickets will soon receive further information.

“AAA continues its strong run, following recent critically acclaimed events including Noche de Los Grandes and Verano de Escándalo. Triplemanía 33 in August 2025 at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City drew a record attendance crowd of 19,691 and became the most-viewed and highest-grossing Triplemanía in event history.

“This year’s event will showcase the best talent of AAA including Dominik Mysterio, Rey Mysterio, Hijo del Vikingo, Psycho Clown, La Catalina, Rey Fenix and many more,” WWE’s press release read.

This is exactly what I predicted would happen when WWE bought AAA. They try to make AAA look more like WWE, and that is a big mistake. It's just like Tony Khan did with AEW and ROH, as ROH does not feel any different from AEW.

AAA should stay in Mexico and do their thing, and WWE should not try to change what the product is and has been for decades.
