    Default Whats the difference between a wrestler and a sports entertainer ?

    Ok ever since the end of the attitude era wwe superstars have been defiened as sports entertainers. I dont have a problem with this as its just vince trying to make his wrestlers sound unique. But today while reading through wwe.com i noticed on the sandman profile page at the bottom it states sandman is not a sports entertainer. Above it tells of details about sandmans prison days. Has vince just clarified that sports entertainers are well behaved members of society ( who makes edges character the rated r superstar who does anything he wants. That includes attempt to have sex on live tv) but edge is still a sports entertainer. So im asking u guys to define to me what a sports entertainer really is so i can find out y vince pushes his superstars as sports entertainers and not brawlers or wrestlers.

    wrestler: wrestler is someone that wrestles professionally..

    sports entertainer: kinda like a pro wrestler except for any sport..
