Lightbulb Poll Week: Are Piper & Falir to old to be Tag Champions?

Poll Week - 12th Nov to 19th Nov

Are Piper & Falir to old to be Tag Champions?

In my opinion, I believe they should be looking to the younger teams to be Champions to build them up. WWE is infamous for bringing in the old guys for no reason at all except for ratings i guess.

    Discuss.

i think they are too old to be tag champions. i would rather see a young and charasmatic team like cryme tyme as tag champs than flair and piper as it kind of looks like vince is only having them as champs for ratings which is stupid as i feel people should be made champions based on your in-ring ability and the reaction you get from the fans not the reputation or legacy a wrestler has from being around for 20 years in wrestling as the wrestlers who work hard every day get put one side so wrestlers who are past their prime can have a title run

I 100% agree with you. It was great to see flair with the IC championship, but come on now. Its like an unwritten tradition for young and upcoming wrestlers to win the Tag tittles. Piper and Flair have nothing more to prove. If anything the only thing Piper has proven to me is how white and big his belly is.

Their age really doesn't matter. What matters is crowd reaction and credibility that they bring to the titles. The spirit squad has done nothing but lose every week since they won the titles and fans couldn't care less about them which has turned the belts into jokes. Granted Flair and Piper are old and fat and out of shape and should probably be in a nursing home, but they put asses in the seats and thats what matters most in this business.

I don't think that they are to old to be champions I mean come on had male cheerleaders as champions :lmao:. I actually glad they are champions and i hope they let them keep the belts for a mounth or so then lose them to a good young team like cryme tyme or something. They could help put those to young guys over and right now the WWE tag title division just needs to get bigger and this could help or i could be wrong. But I like them as champions and glad they are. Good to see Pipper with some gold

whats in bold = great sentence = rep

Flair and Piper have all the credibility in their careers. As such, "passing the torch" to Cryme tyme from Flair and Piper is a great honor to Cryme Tyme and gives Cryme Tyme a LOT of credibility as well. It was a smart move by Vince to give it to Flair and Piper.. now let's just see Cryme Tyme win em by Wrestlemania.

^ No I would have to say Nitro is a singles wrestler now and will probably keep that status. I actually like Nitro as a singles wrestler. Mercury should team up with someone else thow.
