HHH dislikes the younger guys...

It was reported earlier that Triple H did a radio interview earlier in the week. When he was asked about his opinion on the current state of wrestling, he said that it's a great product, but his problem is with the younger guys. Triple H said that a lot of younger guys think that they're owed something, but they just don't work hard enough for it. And then they complain when they're left off of RAW. Triple H then said that some of the wrestlers aren't on TV because nobody wants to see them, they have no personality and are boring (he seems to be talking about the wrestlers that often appear on Heat & not Raw or are regularly left off of SmackDown/ECW). He then said that he, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels would watch a "crappy WWE TV segment" backstage, and Flair would say something along the lines of, "that's why I'll have a job here for life."

what are your thoughts on hhh comment, is it harsh or not?

Well, he's right, isn't he? A lot of the younger guys are boring. Let's face it, every single Shelton Benjamin promo has blown. Kenny Dryska can't pull it one off either. And, as much as I love him, the last promo Jeff Hardy had was him staring at paint and barely talking.


Not all are bad though. Take CM Punk for example. He's got a lot of potential.

There's a reason HHH made it and the current crop of young guys are floundering and it's a lot more to do with creative and WWE's new constricting philosophy than the new guys being less talented than The Game. HHH was good, yes, but he was also in the right place at the right time. He was a midcarder with some degree of experience right when the attitude era kicked off and WWE started letting their guys act like themselves and create characters they were comfortable with.

Today, the midcarders are appearing out of OVW with minimal training or TV exposure, and are thrust into the spotlight all of a sudden with a heavily scripted promo written by an idiot and generic trunks and a generic moveset and told "get over in 4 weeks or we'll drop you to heat". How can they possibly succeed in that environment?

I agree with HHH about the younger guys. If they want to get their push, they need to start busting their ass to improve and show something. A big reason why the midcard is so weak is that none of these guys have stepped up, and raised their games.

Remember, a lot of these guys people on here are clamoring to see again were people that most people on here called overpushed, boring, uncharismatic, green, etc. when they were on TV.

How can they show something when their every move and word is controlled by a creative department without any actual creative energy left?
