It sucked. The end. That's why it folded, because it was bad. Because people like The Sandman and Balls Mahoney were their big guys. It was not good, it was just stupid. Deal with it and stop bitching about the new ECW being a disgrace to the old ECW. The old ECW was a disgrace to itself.

This is just your opinion by the way.
If it sucked so much then why was it brought back? The phenomenon of ECW is a rare one. It once was a successful wrestling promotion. It lost its TV deal and couldn't pay it's wrestlers, and went bankrupt. But it's return wasn't due to some storyline cooked up by the brilliant WWE Creative Team, it was brought back by the fans. It became hard to ignore the ECW chants that broke out every time a former ECW star got into a WWE ring. WWE listened to the fans (another rare occurrence) and had the first ECW One Night Stand. It was a success and brought some much needed excitement back to WWE. It did so well, and got so much attention with the fans that many former ECW wrestlers were signed and eventually, another brand extension took place and ECW was reincarnated. Never has something like this been completely the fans' doing (save maybe the NWO's takeover of WCW). While the current ECW program is nothing like the original, the reason it even exists is because the original ECW was so popular.
So while you may think the original ECW sucked, there are apparently a lot of people who disagree with you. The original ECW changed the face of professional wrestling. WWE wouldn't be where it is today if it hadn't borrowed so many of the methods and ideas that ECW brought to the table.

I don't think it was terrible, they just lost a lot of good wrestlers to other companies in the end.

The current ECW rules now that Nitro is champ... I just need to see him in a hardcore match and win then ECW will be really good...
