WWE issued a text message via their mobile service confirming that Randy Orton has been suspended for "unprofessional conduct."
We've heard it is for 60 days.
Orton had been advertised for tonight's main event at the SmackDown! tapings.

WTF i thought that he was lined up for a title match tonight at the Smackdown recordings,and what the hell could be so bad that he would end up suspended for 60 days...
Smackdown needs all the help it can get to try to make the show a little less crappy and suspending one of the shows top stars is not going to help at all.

Maybe they'll have him appear on the tapings tonight, and have him lose the match (obiviously) and the match i'm kinda thinking about, is a 'loser leaves Smackdown match' then once the 60 days are up from Orton's suspension, they can re-write him back into storylines

^^^ That could work..... still sucks that he's not gonna be there.... granted, he's not exactly the glue that holds Smackdown together, but he's the top heel.

what exaclt is "professional" in WWE? They have Vince dropping his pants on Live TV having people kiss his ass, oh thats very professional, what could Orton have said that was so bad to be suspended for 60 days? thats 2 months there but ok Smackdowns loss.

Some more information on the Randy Orton situation has come out. First of all, it has nothing to do with the baseline drug testing that was recently administered. Apparently Orton has been having issues since January, when Kurt Angle was brought to Smackdown. There have been a number of disciplinary problems since then that have been kept inside the company. During the WrestleMania weekend, he flagrantly defied the dress code. All of these issues have been building, causing a lot of heat with the locker room. It looks like this all came to a climax and WWE felt that they had no choice but to discipline him.
