WWE booking 101

OK I know this thread is about a week late but after reading Lance Storm's comments about TNA I thought I'd give an example of bad booking in WWE so here we go...

I think I was three weeks ago Mark Henry took on Finlay and Hornswoggle. Now everybody knows that Mark would destroy the two of them, but WWE being the genius' that they are decided to kill almost any momentum he had at the time moment and have him job to Hornswoggle. How is that a good move, here you have this 400 pound monster being pinned by a 4 foot nothing 100 pound little person? OK so there is mistake # 1 by the WWE doing something so damn stupid and unbelievable that it's just starting to sink in now.

I probally wouldn't have made this comment had I not seen ECW last week and this week. You see last week Mark showed up on ECW, and along with Big Daddy V destroyed Kane, something the week previous he should have done to Finlay and 'swoggle by himself so now we have this guy who got pinned by this midget a week before kicking the crap out of a 7 foot monster, were is the logic in that? Now they have made kane look weak.

And we move onto this week, a man that was beaten by Hornswoggle a little less then 3 weeks ago has a shot at the ECW title?!?!?!? Come on you've already established that he isn't a top contender by having him getting beat by Hornswoggle and now you want me to believe that he can beat CM Punk? Get real. The ECW title is less then the IC or US title in terms of being a bigger title but to have this man who was beaten by somebody like the little guy as the #1 contender makes no sense to me. Might as well just give the title to Hornswogle now, he's a more believable contender in ECW then Henry now that he has beaten the likes of Coach, Mark Henry and Carlito ( and the wondered why Carlito wanted out of his contract.)

it seems to be a reoccuring thing in the wrestling world sort of like a "you can f things up so badly we can do it worse" type o' things. I dunno what was worse in terms of booking the handling of the cases or this? There are many people on this forum who would be a better booker then those in the WWE.

I don't think WWE's booking is worse than TNA's in the the slightest. The problem in the WWE right now is that Kennedy got suspended two weeks before he was to be revealed as the son on Vince. So, what was going to be a great fued had to fall upon the back-up: a comedic fued. It has long since stopped being funny, but they don't have an out at this moment, so they are just going to keep pushing it.

As you have proved, most of the bad booking stems from this issue. Granted, that's not to say the rest isn't bad booking. The other huge problem is how four times jobbers have moved shows and become unbeatable (Snitsky, Johnny Nitro, Viscera, and Shelton Benjamin). These problems still kinda work though, and overall the booking in the WWE is done very well.

I was just giving an example of bad booking, Shelton Benjamin has tons of potential and Johnny Spade/Blaze/Nitro/Morrison was only given the title because they didn't think Punk was ready. Which that in itself killed ECW, an unproven wrestler who's career highlight was as the IC champ gets put on ECW and on the first night he wrestled there won the title? Where was the logic there either.

I think that Morrison getting the belt was a good move, it proved just how good he can be. Morrison was going to get a push on ECW regardless of the death so things just happened faster and it worked out for the better because ECW really got better since Morrison went there. Hornswoggle should be fired from WWE, he is ruining a lot of wrestlers' reputations right now more importantly Carlito who lost to Hornswoggle and has constantly been taken advantage of by him and now they want to bring him into the IC picture and be taken seriously. I'm guessing he was jobbing to Hornswoggle because they thought he was going to be gone in a couple of weeks but he's not going to that's bad for Carlito's rep.

Oh no sorry I can't remember what happened June 22-24, 2007 in Atlanta, that a wrestlerborn and reaised in Canada did to his family, please tell me what happened?

Of course I remember the Benoit tragedy do you think I was trapped under rock? All I'm saying is that at the time there was other people who could have filled in for him at the time, Tommy Dreamer comes to mind, as does Elijiah Burke. But the WWE didn't know that Benoit had done this so they were probally hoping to start a Morrison/Benoit feud over it. Mr.Name Change stepped in and did his job, I didn't care about him but he did what he was supposed to.
