Dave Meltzer is reporting that the WWE is interested in signing Jay Lethal to a contract. Lethal is a former ROH Pure Champion and debuted with TNA a few weeks ago losing to Samoa Joe. Lethal dropped the JAPW title Saturday night to Rhino in Rahway, NJ. Meltzer reports if they do sign Lethal, it is likely that it will not be a developmental deal and one idea is to pair him up in a tag team with the returning Charlie Haas.

Jay Lethal is awesome, just I hope he doesn't goto the WWE because he'll be badly used. He's better of at the moment in mainly Ring Of Honor, and making appearances for TNA
