    before you read this relize i know he is a "real wrestler." i know he can wrestle. my problem with him is that ever since he has come to ECW he has called himself the new gold standard in ecw but he only fights second rate wrestlers. i mean he has beat nunizo and two no names. the wwe needs to either have him fight better fights or end that stupid gimmick. They should put him against burk or nitro or big daddy v or even puck then he can make that claim but until they do those type of matches i will say benjamin shut up you are the joke standard in ecw what are your thoughts on him or ecw

    Well that is why he is squashing all those people so when he does face a CM Punk there is more hype because Punk isn't like you said a second rate guy. Plus I think it gives new fans a chance to see him because some ppl just watch one brand

    right but he could fight you know thorn or one of the smackdown superstars that are at least worth the time step up and watch the fight. I mean its one thing to fight a no body and another thing to fight someone with some creditablity.

    He should be in a feud with CM Punk in place of Chavo:eek: Chavo should be in the CW division on SD! but WWE erased there...

    Benjamin has all the tools to be a top WWE star, and a future champ. I do agree that he needs to start facing some actual competition...but then again thats how WWE seems to start all of the guys who they are pushing lately: start with them ruuning through the jobbers then put them against the main roster after they have been established and "prove that they are the real deal".

    Look at Kennedy. Carlito. John Cena. Those are recent ones who started by facing jobbers and then made thier way up to the big scene. I know Shelton has been around for some time but he never really got the chance to shine. At least NOW WWE is gonna give the guy a shot. I'm all for it, and I hope that it turns into something good for both Shelton and WWE.

    That's the basis for him being heel, man. He calls himself the Gold Standard but all he wrestles is no-names. He plays the heel VERY well. He's too "cowardly" (as his gimmick protests) to face any top athlete, so until then, you're going to continue seeing him squash no-names.
