I can see the Batista Goldberg angle. I just would say I like Batista so much better. But either way, I can't stand Umaga. He's your typical big man, lumbering around the ring to me.

Typical big man? How many Umaga matches have you actually watched? If you don't find him entertaining or impressive, fine, but most would agree that he is definitely not a "typical big man" who lumbers around the ring.

Great Khali, Big Daddy V, and to a lesser extent, Mark Henry are typical big men who lumber around the ring. Umaga, on the other hand, actually wrestles. He'll throw in a superkick here and there, or a splash from the top rope. And I can't forget that diving headbutt/tree of woe thing he does. It's understandable for someone to call him boring, and I'm not about to argue over that opinion, but I think it's pretty clear too see just by watching him that he's not just a typical big. He's a lot faster and a lot more agile and athletic than the above mentioned typical big men.

All right, perhaps typical big man was a bit of a stretch. I just never got into the character and find his act boring.

^ I disagree with you and this writer. If Umaga went back to being a heel instead of a tweener, he could easily be champ. As impressive as he is in the ring, why can't he be champion? My rebuttal to any and every reason people may say a certain wrestler shouldn't be champ is to simply refer them to Khali. If he can be World Champion, literally anyone can. The clincher here is that I don't see Umaga as a last resort, backup plan champion, or even a transitional champ. I think he's got what it takes to actually sustain a main event presence.

That's because Vince Mcmahon and his creative staff are idiots. You can't honestly believe that Khali could ever be a serious champion. He cant even do his own moves correctly. It ruins the credibility of the company and the show and the title. Umaga is a good character, but he is not a good wrestler/entertainer. It's overplayed and overexaggerated. He is the heel version of SuperCena to be quite honest.. Undestructible and overrated. And despite me bashing Cena and Umaga, i like both of them. I just think, Umaga isnt ready yet.

Khali was not and never will be ready, yet he was given the championship. Of course I don't think Khali was a serious champion; that was my main reason for using him as an example. As horrible as he is, if he can be champion, there really is no argument against Umaga big enough. I largely agree that Khali ruined the credibility of the title and the company somewhat, and I'm saying that no matter how boring someone may find Umaga's character, or if you don't think he's "ready" yet, he still won't be anywhere near as bad as Khali was.

I actually like Umaga because he is of course large at 6'4 and in the 350 lb range. However, he isn't " too big " like the Great Khali or to a lesser extent the Big Show. Guys who are " too big " have to slow down their maneuvers or use a defense mechanism like Show putting his thumb/whole hand in the way of a headbutt which makes them look way too fake to be credible. Someone like Umaga is relatively speaking small enough to go at full stiffness and not necessarily kill anyone. Show, Khali and a few other true super monsters do this and you have about 3 companies worth of obituaries.

This match pissed me off so much. It was just Umaga beating up Batista the entire time, then Batista did two moves and won. I was expecting a lot more from this (and pretty much every match) after I shelled out 100 bucks for a ticket.

neither is really impressive, on both shows id rather edge and orton respectively be in main event matches than those two.
