Capcom has formally announced one of the release dates for the downloadable Marvel vs. Capcom 2. The game is set to hit Xbox Live Arcade for 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15 USD) on July 29. A rumor had previously claimed it was coming out on June 29, which was debunked by a Capcom tweet saying it would be "closer to the end of July."
Capcom didn't provide a date for the game's release on PlayStation Network, but we expect to hear word soon. Usually dual-platform releases are targeted close to each other, so it could be coming the following day on July 30. On the other hand, the PlayStation 3 scored exclusive access to the demo, so Sony may have a deal with Capcom to offer it sooner than its Xbox Live counterpart. We'll let you know when we hear official word.
