    Default NBA Player Invades Stands

CHICAGO (AP) -- The moment Antonio Davis dashed up into the stands, everyone was thinking the same thing: another NBA brawl.

Yet this was different. Concerned his wife was in trouble, the New York Knicks forward reached her in the seats but remained calm, never took a swing at anybody and willingly walked away when security arrived.

Still the scene evoked memories of last season's brawl between fans and Pacers players in Detroit and overshadowed a thrilling finish to a wild game.

Yeah it is an unfortunate scene, but he's got to get something. I don't agree with suspending him, but he's the president of the players so he knows what he has coming to him.

I see it differently, he could have asked security to go up there, yes he was trying to do the right thing, but players know that you dont go into the stands. It's an unfortunate situation that he got put in and he handled it the way that he thought he should and it wasnt wrong but he didnt have to do it.

He had to be suspended, you dont want players up in the stands period. This sends the message that players shouldnt be in the stands regardless of the circumstance.

There's people called security that roam the stands in case of emergency, you alert them and they will take care of it for you. I'm sure it's written in the NBA Code of Conduct along side the new dress code, DO NOT EVER GO INTO THE STANDS!

The man who was being harrassed by Davis' wife called for security and they were on their way. Davis broke a rule that he helped write and he deserved that punishment, a rule is a rule and there's no exceptions. Security was trying to do their job and Antonio made it a bigger deal than it was.
