First off I don't think Victory Road was atrocious. I'll save that acronym for Genesis.

Victory Road however was a PPV with the makings of a great show fucked up by constant mistakes and bizarre decision making.

Blow up doll? Amusing is strange. Cuddly toy knocking Bubba to the floor? Come on.

Sarita and Rosita have talent, no issue with them winning but WOW. How slowly did Rosita get on her shoulders? Love had long since moved before she slammed down to the empty canvas and again later on. Velvet then fucked up but clearly being by the apron watching Sarita come in and stood by doing nothing. Even an obvious swing for Rosita and hitting Winter by mistake would have been better.

Hernandez vs Morgan? Ok this one was shit all round really. It never really got going, the "fan" in the ring was different I'll give them that but what supposedly happened to the ref exactly? Fake blood poured on Morgan, lame but ok only the second ref went straight to a bleeding Hernandez, face to face with him, turned round then saw Morgan and called the match. Surely he saw the blood on Hernandez? Stupid.

Ultimate X has some decent spots, few strange ones like Max Buck being "stuck" when clearly after a close up camera shot he had at least a yard of space. Was far from the best Ultimate X match and the whole ting with the Bucks kinda kept killing any momentum. Decent enough overall though.

Beer Money vs Ink Inc was decent but like with Ultimate X Jesse Neal trynna show his respect all through the match was kinda silly. I get teh point of it but at the start and the end only would have had the same effect.

AJ vs Matt Hardy was probably the match of the night and a big reason I can't agree with your statement of "Get rid of The Hardys". Matt so far has been a positive for TNA. He won his debut, as expected. Then put over RVD and AJ. Reports suggesting he's made good impressions and is popular backstage. No problem with Matt Hardy and this match up was solidly worked and easily was the best of the night.

Yeah the Youtube shit last year was wierd and made him look a dick but as a fan, only what he does in the ring as Matt Hardy the wrestler are of any importance in fairness.

Anderson vs RVD just failed to spark and considering what was to come it really needed to in hindsight. Double count out I assume will lead to a triple threat/fatal four way at Lockdown but meh the match at Victory Road was pretty bog standard and the finish looked weak.

Ok now I watch it in parts, and the last one was about 17 minutes long. By the time Bischoff came out you had about 9 minutes left and my comment was "This is gonna be pretty shit with less than ten minutes for the main event." I had no idea just how bad.

Just what the fuck was that? Sorry but you can't justify charging whatever it is you charge in places expecting people to buy your PPV on the strength of a main event and then just throw shit like that out there. One move? One fucking move and it's done?

2 weeks ago on iMPACT! it took 2 normal death drops and one from the turnbuckle to put Jeff Hardy away. Chances are 95% of thsoe watching Victory Road would have seen that.

Then another fuck up having the camera close enough on Sting at the entrance ramp addressing the crowd in response to the boos and jeers "I know, I know". As if publicly declaring "I know it's a fucking joke what the hell is going on?"

So yeah there were WAY more bad decisions and fuck ups than should be acceptable, the honeymoon video clips have no place on a PPV and the end was a completely shambolic debacle but I still wouldn't say it made Victory Road atrocious.

Victory Road 2011 was average overall with some nice, decent stuff and some really really horrible things.

Flair whilst rumoured to be on an obscene amount of money is still a big name on screen talent even though doing minimal wrestling he doesn't need to be gotten rid of.

Bischoff like him or loathe his personality or whatever I actually feel is the one who's doing good things for TNA. Like it or not he's a wrestling guy, he's been there and he's done it and he does know what works and what doesn't. Not without his faults certainly but he's a man who deserves a lot more credit than a lot of wrestling fans give him.

Hogan save for the initial interest and peddling a bit of merchandise has effectively died out and ran his TNA course I feel so I do agree with you on that front.

Russo is an interesting one. He does indeed come up with some atrocious crap sometimes but again he's been there and he's done it all before and he does also produce some good results. It's all about finding a balance. If Russo were "given a break" who would be in charge? Senior guys around the place? Aka Hogan actually having a proper say? That would suck I'd suggest.

I get why you're pissed off for sure and the end was just surreal it was such a shit heap but I think overall it's a little harsh to be so critical of the company as a whole. Genesis was truly atrocious, ironically saved by a decent enough twist ending. Victory Road by comparison was decent enough sadly let down by an atrocious ending.
