The 1/13 edition of Impact did a 1.25 rating with 1,733,000 viewers. Those are the best numbers that they have done since the 10/14/10 show, which followed the Bound For Glory PPV where Jeff Hardy turned heel. My hunch is that PPV and Matt Hardy curiosity fueled the number.

As mentioned yesterday, the 1/13 edition of Impact did a 1.25 rating, which was its highest number since the 10/14/10 show that aired after Bound For Glory. That show did a 1.4 and peaked with 1.5 quarter hours at the start of the show.

Thursday's Impact followed the same pattern, as the show opened with a 1.41 quarter hour. The second was a 1.31. As the show went on, the quarters mostly went down, to a low 1.07 for the 10:30 to 10:45 quarter.

I think it's pretty clear by looking at these numbers that there was interest to see what happened at the PPV, and probably also to see what they would do with Matt Hardy. But losing 24% of the audience from the first quarter to the seventh is not a positive trend. TNA has to find a way to keep that 24% who tuned out glued to the product for the entire show if they want to make the gains that they need to achieve.

After doing a 1.25 rating last week following the Genesis PPV, the 1/20 edition of Impact was back down to a 1.15. More later.

As we mentioned earlier, Impact did a 1.15 rating this week. The show did 1,648,000 viewers.

Something called "Permanent Mark" did a 0.44 rating at 11 p.m. When you take out the overrun number from Impact that helped Reaction when it was still on the air, it's about the same number that the now-canceled show was doing.

Dixie noted on her facebook page today that last nights Impact drew their second highest ratings ever apparently.

    Good news for TNA.

If Kenpachi used his Bankai, Armageddon, Ragnarok, and every other form of the apocalypse would march from the depths of hell with their demonic legions of death.... then take one look at him and turn tail and run.

As noted before, the February 3rd TNA iMPACT scored a 1.31 rating with 1.95 million viewers. The was the second most number of viewers for iMPACT on a Thursday.

In a segment-by-segment breakdown, the Ink Inc. vs. Gunner & Murphy match gained 15,000 viewers and the first Jarrett family segment with The Pope & Brother Ray vs. Samoa Joe & Brother Devon gained 30,000 more viewers. The X Division triple threat lost 15,000 viewers but the segment with Mr. Anderson and Jeff Hardy gained 45,000 viewers.

The second Jarrett family segment and the taped fist match with Sarita vs. Mickie James gained 45,000 more viewers. The beginning of the main event with Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Anderson lost 208,000 viewers and was the lowest rated segment of the show. The match gained back 134,000 of those viewers for the ending and the revealing of "they."
