Many people in the wrestling industry have been congratulating Michaels this week, including former rival Steve Austin, who called him the best in-ring worker he's ever seen. As part of today's press release, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon echoed Austin's opinion, with this strong endorsement:

“Shawn Michaels was the best in-ring performer in the history of WWE.”

The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 2 at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA, the evening before WrestleMania XXVII.

Both Paul Heyman and Bill Goldberg have given Shawn Michaels their congratulations for getting into the Hall of Fame. There's been talk within the company of getting Goldberg in due to the ten-year anniversary of WCW folding, but Michaels and Triple H have both said they don't think he belongs in.

Shawn deserves to be in, no questions asked. As far as why they announced him already, WWE wanted to get an even bigger opening day draw for ticket sales. Notice that Shawn never spoke on Raw? He won't 'til WM27. Either HHH or Undertaker should induct him. I'd also like to put in my vote for all of the other Horsemen, maybe as a group or at least Arn and Malenko. Shouldn't Tully Blanchard also have a part in that as well?

I think he has a right to be in the HOF. Even though it was his gimmick, he did win all those matches without a loss and that is a big deal in somebodys book. He also brought in the crowds even though his matches only lasted seconds sometimes lol

As for who should induct Shawn Michaels, I say Triple H would be the man to do it. They have been close for the last 13 years and ofcourse had there DX gimmick which would go over well with the crowd that night.
