- Welcome to NWA Anarchy, this is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING~! Last week on NWA Anarchy TV, Jeremy Vain reminded Mr. Rob Adonis owed him a personal favor and snatched up the TV title shot at NWA Anarchy TV Champion Truitt Fields. Unfortunately, Vain’s chicanery and buffoonery backfired. What an imbecile. In the main event, the Dynamic Duo pulled out the win against Ace Rockwell & Luke Hawx with the old one-two Bojangle’s chicken combo, a pair of shiny brass knux and a piledriver. Also, the Technicians earned a title shot at NWA Anarchy Tag Team Champions the New Wave by really not winning a #1 contenders battle royal in what was one of the worst and very few booking debacles in recent Anarchy history. This week, the New Wave defends the tag straps against the Technicians and Shadow Jackson challenges the Altar of Human Mutilation for the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title.

- Well, well, well, look who we have here… agent/attorney Jeff G. Bailey, Kimo, and Shatter have invaded the premises. If you think Bailey cuts awesome promos, you ought to hear his impersonation of ER, but that’s a story I’ll save for another day. Bailey doesn’t plan to scream and bellyache about the New Wave’s miracle upset of the NWA Elite. Yep, tonight is the luckiest night in the New Wave’s career because the NWA Elite will not be seeking a rematch. However, the most important thing in the NWA Arena is being a member of the NWA Elite. For all the semi-literates in NWA Anarchy, the NWA Elite has produced three world champions: Ron Killings (R-Truth), AJ Styles, and Abyss. Yeah, that drew a pop from the teeny boppers. The next WWE World Champion will be Shatter. The fans immediately pop for the heel. Ok, something is not right here. Shouldn’t the fans be despising Bailey for shoving his evil greatness down their throats? According to Bailey, there are three men responsible for Shatter’s success: Shatter, Kimo and Bailey. With Shatter gone, this leaves Kimo the slot to capture gold. Kimo will achieve a new level of success by making examples of anyone who crosses his path. To demonstrate Kimo’s dominance, Bailey challenges any member of the locker room to last 5 minutes with Kimo.

1. “The Weird Sense of Kim Chi” Kimo destroyed “The Weird Sense of Lettuce & Taco Meat” Don Juan.
Why did you place yourself in such a predicament Don Juan? Please head back for the Texas border Don Juan because this man you’re fighting is the Butcher of Pyongyang and the personal bodyguard of Kim Jong-Il. Juan starts out by outmaneuvering Kimo and mocking Bailey. Kimo immediately exacts revenge with a brutal German suplex. After this encounter, Don Juan’s harem of beautiful women has forsaken him because Kimo just stripped his manhood from him. One clothesline and Information Extractor later, Kimo obliterates Don Juan. Afterwards, Ace Rockwell heads out to challenge Kimo and he goes ballistic. Shatter has to hold Kimo back from attacking Rockwell, who was helping Don Juan to the back. Maybe Barack Obama should nominate Jeff G Bailey for Secretary of State and Kimo as personal overseer of Club Gitmo.

2. “The 2 Year Veteran” Adrian Hawkins pinned “Do or Die” Chip Day to retain the last entry in the Young Lion’s Mega-Rumble.
Hawkins is the last entrant in the Mega-Rumble to determine the #1 contender to the NWA Anarchy Young Lions Title. In doing so, Slim J slipped down to the first entrant. Both men dazzle the audience with their agility early on. The tide turns for worse when Hawkins flies through the middle and top ropes straight to the arena floor. Day takes advantage with a somersault plancha. After commercial, Hawkins counters a rana with a sitout powerbomb for a near count. Day fights back by eluding Hawkins and nails a senton. He climbs to the High Rent District and Hawkins nimbly eludes a 450 splash. Hawkins pins Day cleanly with the La Magistral cradle aka bandito. Crowd definitely was not into the match.

- After commercial, Slim J confronts Hawkins about experience. Slim J admits he wants to win every title in NWA Anarchy and he will win the Lion’s Cup Title as well. The Lion’s Cup isn’t about experience, it is about heart something that Hawkins doesn’t have, BUSTA~!

3. The New Wave (Derrick Driver & Steven Walters) defeated the Technicians (Tyler Smith & Bob E) to retain the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles.
The Technicians prematch attack backfires and the New Wave immediately gains control. After commercial, Driver pulls Smith’s beard to maintain the advantage. Driver makes the mistake of mounting the top rope in the Technician’s corner and Bob E interrupts his flight path. Stupid move on the champ’s part. The Technicians dismantle Driver for the next several minutes. Bob E mistakenly mounts the top turnbuckle only to crash upon impact. This provides the opportunity for Stevens to receive the hot tag and clean house. After some shenanigans, the New Wave wins cleanly with the Unskinny Teeny Bopper. Decent match for what it was.

- The “Master of Ceremonial Disaster” Greg Hunter is out to interview Brody Ray Chase & “She’s a Man” Melissa Coates. According to Chase, there is unbridled lust in everyone’s eyes, including the women in the audience. Chase brags about being on national TV and winning titles everywhere he has wrestled, but fails to mention getting his ass kicked on TBS WCWSN back in the 80’s. He admits that NWA Owner Jerry Palmer can’t take his eyes off of Coates. As soon as Coates speaks, Palmer heads out. Palmer scorns Chase and advises Coates to leave the old womanizer. Chase threatens the Boss, Hunter and the crowd. A disgusted Chase grabs Coates by the arm before heading to the back. What a jerk.

4. “The People’s Champion” Shadow Jackson defeated “the Altar of Human Mutilation” Iceberg w/”the Reverend” Dan Wilson & the Staff of Righteousness via disqualification, but Iceberg retains the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title.
This is the first recorded meeting between these two behemoths in NWA Anarchy. The crowd lets out a deafening roar and proudly chants “Shadowmania.” Despite Shadow’s size, he proves his 200 pound weight disadvantage is negligible by shoulderblocking Iceberg to the floor. After commercial, the almighty Reverend jabs the Staff of Righteousness into Shadow’s throat. Iceberg maintains control by brutalizing Shadow with a clothesline and slapping on a chinlock. Iceberg follows up with a bodyslam, the Thigh Drop of Doom, and a head scissors. Shadow is in danger of losing consciousness via a putrid smell from Iceberg’s legs. Yikes! The crowd continues to rally behind Shadow as Iceberg administers more punishment. Shadow finally answers Iceberg with a desperation German suplex for a two count. Iceberg fights back with a headbutt and an elbow drop for a two count. Iceberg prepares to finish off Shadow with Ground Xero, but as Wilson lets out a blood curdling scream, Professional Wrestling’s Only Serial Killer splats himself. Shadow employs Japanese psychology by delivering the Ground Xero splash for a 2½ count. Iceberg takes exception and employs Japanese psychology himself with the 10-31 spinebuster for a 2½ count. With the referee’s back turned, Wilson distracts Shadow by smashing him with the Staff. Though Shadow easily no sells it, it is enough of a distraction for Iceberg to club him from behind. Iceberg sets up on the middle turnbuckle, but the lights flicker! Could it be Mikael Judas? Shadow tackles Iceberg in midair which prompts Azreal to jump him from behind. The lights go out again and this time it is Judas! Judas chokeslams Azreal straight to Hades and stares Shadow down. Shadow looks for the stick and asks about not cheating. Shadow challenges Iceberg’s manhood and his girlfriends. Shadow thanks Judas for saving him and offers a handshake. Shadow’s major weakness is long match and this was too long for him. Kudos to the producer for good editing to make the match better on TV than live. Decent way to close Anarchy, but not the homerun that needed to be delivered.

- Welcome to NWA Anarchy, this is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING~! Last week was eventful on NWA Anarchy TV when Adrian Hawkins successfully defended his last entry into this week’s Young Lion’s Mega Rumble. Afterwards, Slim J paid him a special visit and reminded Hawkins he wants every title in NWA Anarchy, BUSTAH~! Iceberg walks away still the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Champion when Azreal attacked Shadow Jackson prompting the referee to call for an immediate disqualification. Mikael Judas headed out to save and shook hands with Shadow. Shadow & Judas will join forces to battle the Devil’s Rejects on next week’s episode. This week, the Hollywood Brunettes tango with the Technicians and Young’s Lions will face-off in a Mega-Rumble. Slim J is the first entrant and Hawkins is the last. The last two remaining contestants will face-off at Fright Night ’08.

- We begin this week with John “the Body” Johnson interviewing Jeremy Vain and his bodyguard Mr. Rob Adonis. Cameras follow Johnson, Vain needs a camera and so he has the opportunity to speak on this. Vain lambastes Mr. Adonis for every mishap since purchasing his services as a bodyguard. Vain needs Mr. Adonis to focus on what makes him a champion. Mr. Adonis reminds Vain that he stole his title shot and then screwed it up. Agreed. Vain scorns Mr. Adonis by calling him a “nobody.” Ouch, that was low. Vain is here to show the way Mr. Adonis is supposed to find opportunity and shows him how. Vain confronts the New Wave, grabs their precious gold and calls them girls. Walters appreciates the complement, but Vain & Mr. Adonis delivers a denada via beatdown. They do in 10 seconds what the NWA Elite or the Devil’s Rejects couldn’t do in 10 minutes; beat the living piss out of the tag champions. Kareem Abdul Jamar is like “Hey, dude,” and Mr. Adonis wipes him out. Mr. Adonis tosses around members of the locker room like Paper-Mache. John Johnson is the only one left standing after this debacle. Mr. Adonis commandeers both members to the ring, but the New Wave fights back. Mr. Adonis saves Vain from the Unskinny Bop and destroys Walters with the A-Plex. Driver receives likewise. Hopefully, Walters ordered a bottle of Excedrin 3 after taking a head smash in the locker room. This has to be one of the most awesome moments in recent Anarchy history.

1. JT Talent pinned Malachi.
Malachi pops the crowd early on by manhandling Talent. Johnson says Talent & Money is better without Sex because Caleb Konley is nothing but a breeder. Talent takes over with a German release suplex and maintains the advantage with dastardly heel tactics. Talent humbles Malachi with the Iron Sheik’s approval. Malachi finally bounces back with a desperation clothesline and goes on a rampage. Malachi catches Talent with a STO backbreaker and a legsweep combo for a near fall. Talent contemplates cheating and does so by pulling referee Jacob Ashworth in the way to avoid a corner splash. Reminding himself that you should always follow the Bobby Heenan philosophy of always cheating, Talent places his feet on the ropes for a quick pinfall victory.

2. The Technicians (Bob E & Tyler Smith) defeated the Hollywood Brunettes (“the Wizard of Aaaaaaaahs” Andrew Alexander & “2 Hot 4 TV” Kyle Matthews) via submission.
The Technicians gain an early measure of revenge by launching a premeditated attack and posting Alexander’s shoulder before guardrail smashing his arm. In the ring, Matthews fights off both the Technicians with a double coconut. The Technicians take over when Smith pulls the referee in the way and Hill boomerangs Matthews. For those of you who remember the thousands of failed gimmicks that Vince McMahon has perpetrated over the past years, chalk one up for Outback Jack whose finishing maneuver was the Boomerang, a clothesline to the back of the head. Matthews runs to his corner, but doesn’t realize an injured Alexander can’t help him. The Technicians deliver a torturous beating to Matthews with the referees continuing to tend to Alexander’s injured arm. After commercial, Alexander cringes beside the announcer’s booth. Both Technicians continue to taunt Alexander with Matthews contemplating hopping on the apron. Matthews does so with one arm behind his back. Alexander makes the tag to the One Armed Bandit and cleans house on the Technicians. The Technicians end the torture by snapping Alexander’s shoulder on the top rope, Smith executing a fall away knee to the shoulder and slapping on a Fujiwara armbar. Alexander smartly taps. The Technicians have certainly learned from their esteemed mentor Todd Sexton.

- We return to the ring with Brody Ray Chase sans Melissa Coates. Chase says Palmer is jealous of everything the Stray Cat is, has and the woman that attracts his eyes. That’s a bold statement. Chase left the tender tiny morsel to be enjoyed by a true man at home. Chase reveals his masterminded plan to wrestle two women. He demands two good looking women who know their role. He draws several laughs from the female contingent. Chase believes the females actually proclaim him a man. What a conceited not a very nice person.

3. “The Great American Scream Machine” Brody Ray Chase defeated Christy “Tina” Turner & Crystal Rose in an intergender handicap match.
Turner kicks off the festivities by mule kicking Chase because he had the audacity to go froggy style on her. Chase blathers until Turner slaps the taste out of his mouth. Turner outmuscles and humiliates Chase with a monkey flip. After commercial, Chase slaps Turner’s mush and hiptosses her into ring. Chase reveals further devious pyramid schemes by luring Rose to work over his arm. She arm twists Chase, but he responds by slapping her posterior. Rose takes exception and eats a bodyslam. What a decrepit individual Chase is. The fans chant that “Brody sucks,” but that is only half of the story, if you know what I mean. Chase finishes off Rose with the pump handle neckbreaker. He hiptosses Turner into the ring and clotheslines her. Oh, that’s not the end of it. Chase destroys Turner with an Awesome bomb and covers both women for the victory, something that Chase knows a lot about. What a miserable poor sac of camel dung Chase is. A rightfully disgusted Palmer stares down through Chase from the entrance ramp.

4. Slim J and Adrian Hawkins were the two remaining participants in the Mega-Rumble and will face-off at Fright Night to determine inaugural Young Lion’s champion.

Afterwards, Hawkins pummels Slim J from behind and delivers a huge Ligerbomb. Where has this part out of Hawkins the past two years? To think about it, he looks more like Bret Hart every time he appears on TV.

OVERALL: There were plenty of good segments and left little to nitpick.

11/28 NWA Prime Time: A Live Report by Larry Goodman



Johnny Swinger made a shocking debut for NWA Prime Time Pro Wrestling Friday night in Columbus.



Until the moment a masked Swinger hit the ring to join the invaders from Great Championship Wrestling, he was the biggest name star on the GCW roster, a position he had held since his departure from WWE.



It’s a hell of angle. For several weeks, Sonny Siaki had been wreaking havoc in Prime Time, while still claiming to work for their bitter rival, GCW. Last week, Siaki grabbed Tracy Taylor as a hostage and threatened to break her neck. Promoter Billy Roper agreed to close down the company if David Young didn’t beat Siaki in a match. Siaki agreed to go back across the river to GCW if he lost. Well, Siaki lost but he lied about leaving, and now Swinger and Zero Tolerance have joined the invasion.



Whether Swinger coming in proves to be a good business decision for Prime Time is another thing altogether. Only time and the depth of Roper’s pocketbook will tell. It was almost certainly a good business decision for GCW to jettison Swinger, as he was no doubt the highest paid guy on their roster.



PTPW drew a disappointing 140 to the Prime Time Arena for the ultimate high stakes stipulation. What more can you put up than the very existence of your company? The subpar crowd is more, I think, a sign of changing times than a fault of the angle. Sadly, the days when holiday weekends meant big crowds for wrestling have come and gone. If anything, holiday weekends appear to be a negative at this point.



The crowd was on fire for the main event and all the hoopla afterwards. However, they never fully turned up the heat until then, as a lackluster undercard gave them little reason to do so. A certain group of knowledgeable regular attendees said it was only overall bad show since David Young started booking.



(1) Simon Sermon & Thomas Britain beat the Iceberg & Deathrow to retain the PTWP Tag Team Championship in 9:15. Being that it was matchup of heel teams, the heat was less than optimal. The Brits had title belts wrapped in British flags, the deal being they planned to take the titles across the river (to GCW) when their contacts expired after next Friday. Sermon was his usual entertaining self. The prospect of locking up with Iceberg had him chewing his nails. The monsters decimated Britain. Sermon had to made save after save. But the problems between Iceberg and Deathrow came to a head Iceberg “accidentally” got clocked by Deathrow. Iceberg retaliated with a lariat, Sermon pounced on top of Deathrow for the three count. Sermon then loaded Britain onto his back and ran out with the belts. Funny stuff.



Iceberg briefly took possession of both the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight belt and Deathrow’s PTPW Heavyweight belt over his head.



(2) Frankie Valentine beat Josh Stone in 9:30. The crowd popped for Valentine’s entrance. He can go face of heel. Match wasn’t bad, but it was babyface vs. babyface, and the crowd wasn’t feeling it once the bell rang. After a missed slingshot move by Valentine, Stone went to work on his shoulder. Valentine made the comeback and after wrestling clean the entire match, Stone raked the eyes. Why now? Finish saw Valentine block a superplex and pin Stone with a super sunset flip.



Sermon carried Britain back out to the ring. Sermon told Roper he had just witnessed an example of the Brits’ domination. Britain was still out of it. He crawled across the ring to grab onto to Roper’s pant leg. Sermon said they were “going across the river” in one more week. With that, Sermon carried Britain and the title belts to the back.



(3) Genni Wright beat Tracy Taylor in 9:10. This match had the wrong kind of heat. Wright was wearing the worst possible gear for her body type, and she got ripped to shreds by a decidedly sadistic element in the crowd. It didn’t help that she also stinks as a wrestler. It was originally booked as a tag (see notes below), where they may have been able to hide Wright’s shortcomings. Just maybe. Wright heeled. The crowd got behind Tracy, who hit a powerslam to spark a comeback. Wright pinned Tracy using the tights. You’ve got to be freaking kidding me. Not only is Tracy a regular, she had already pinned two of their male wrestlers. No way this girl beats her.



Intermission.



(4) Killer Instinct (Mike Stratus & Jake Slater) beat Chip Day & Kyle Matthews in 9:40. The undersized babyface team came out flying. It was the most into the show this crowd had been all night. They worked on the leg of Stratus and then the arm of Slater. Matthews took the heat. Stratus was good here. He’s a solid heel �" a stocky grizzled veteran type. Mathews went through the legs to make the hot tag. Day hit a double missile dropkick and cleaned house, but ended up on the wrong end of a slice ‘n dice legdrop by Stratus.



(5) Micah Taylor beat Travis Sawyer (with Tony Lucassio) in 13:18. This match had the best true wrestling content, and that was 90% Micah. Make no mistake, the guy is a great wrestler. Every hold applied in a realistic manner. The heat was so-so. I don’t think the fans saw Sawyer as a legitimate threat to beat one of Prime Time’s top guys. Sawyer needs to get in better shape if he’s going to make a deal out of being Buzz’s son. I was a huge mark for Sawyer when he was the man in Georgia Championship Wrestling. They talk about his feud with Tommy Rich, but with all due respect, none of those matches could hold a candle to his chain match with Roddy Piper in the Omni. But I digress. Lucassio got “shut up” heat on the mic. Taylor did some stellar work on Sawyer’s leg, the highlight being the surfboard leglock. With Lucassio providing the distraction, Sawyer delivered a knee to the back that sent Micah through the ropes. Sawyer worked over Micah’s back. Ref Rob Russo caught Sawyer using the ropes on a pin attempt. Micah then kicked out of Sawyer’s powerslam. The crowd revved up for Micah’s comeback. Sawyer did a rhino like charge into the turnbuckles and Micah rolled him up. Sawyer did the sore loser back jumping thing after the match.



(6) Bulldog Raines beat Colt Derringer in a cowbell on a bullrope match (12:34). It was OK, but there was something missing, mainly, the expected brutality. The cowbell barley figured into the match. The first man to touch all four corners in succession would be the winner. Raines controlled the early portion of the match via inventive use of the rope. He got three touches before being cut of by Derringer’s rope lariat. Derringer gave Raines a few cowbell shots to the back. Derringer hit a middle rope legdrop and they did the deal where both men touch 3 corners. They got into a tug of war as Derringer strained to make the fourth corner. They needed a shorter rope to make it believable. Raines speared Derringer. Raines hit a Blue Thunder Bomb, an impressive move on man Derringer’s size that appeared to suck out all the energy he had. Raines put the rope around Derringer’s neck and dragged him to three corners with both men touching. A not so monumental struggle ensued and Raines managed to make the fourth touch.



Postmatch: Derringer bludgeoned Raines with the cowbell and hung him over the top rope. Day, Matthews and Valentine came out to make the save.



Intermission number two. Micah and Tracy Taylor out for autographs and so forth.



Before the main event, Roper called for quiet, so he could explain the gravity of the situation. He thanked the fans for their support in case this was it for PTPW.



(7) David Young beat Sonny Siaki via DQ when his masked accomplice, revealed as Zero Tolerance, interfered at 11 minutes. The heat was off the hook for this match. Siaki entered through a side door carrying a 2 x 4. He knocked a heckler on his ass and decked a security guard. Siaki was accompanied by Tolerance in a ski mask. Ringside fans that attended GCW shows recognized him. There aren’t many dudes that size walking around. This action quickly spilled outside the ring. Roper got in a cheap shot on Siaki. Young sent Siaki flying through a section of ringside seats. Young tried to come off the apron with a huracanrana, and Siaki slammed his head into a chair. Siaki clocked Young with a fire extinguisher and got a two count on the floor. Somebody made it falls count anywhere, I guess. Inside the ring, Young kicked out of a DDT on the chair. Young kicked out. Siaki choked Young with his GCW hoodie. The crowd was pleading for Young to make a comeback. Siaki superkicked Young, and he kicked out again.

Young hit a tornado kick and then the spinebuster, The masked dude attacked ref Rob Russo for the DQ.



Tolerance gave Young a full nelson slam and took off his mask. Chris Stevens ran out to save his partner (why wasn’t he at ringside watching Young’s back?), but he was beaten down, and both members of Bad Company got laid out with flapjacks. Another second masked man in a leather jacket came in through the back door with a baseball bat. By this time, Roper had jumped into the ring, and the masked guy jabbed him in the gut with the baseball bat. Masked man #2 revealed himself to be Swinger. The carnage continued with Young, Stevens, Roper and Russo all left laying. Siaki said GCW would be back next week. Swinger said they were taking over. The invaders exited through the back door of the arena. Young addressed the invaders while he was still down in the ring. “Don’t walk away, cuz I’m still breathing.” Young said the GCW guys would have to kill him. Young said Bad Company would be back and they were bringing hell with them.



That sets up Bad Company (Young & Stevens & Bull Buchanan) vs. Siaki & Swinger & Tolerance for December 5.



In an appalling lack of attention to detail, Roper conducted the show closing raffle. The rumbling in the distance wasn’t thunder; it was the sound of countless old school bookers rolling in their graves. I’m not saying Roper didn’t sell the beating, because he definitely did, but his recuperative powers were superior to the wrestlers. Either do the raffle at intermission, or better yet, have some poor grief-stricken PTPW employee do it, while Roper is being carried to the back. It’s a given that today’s fans don’t buy this stuff as real. Doing things the proper way may not sell tickets, but there’s still a right way and a wrong way to do things.

Lumberjack Strap Match for SoCal Pro Heavyweight Championship: "Radiant" Jason Redondo (c) with TNT vs. SoCal Crazy

Due to the aftermath of the SoCal Pro Heavyweight Title Match at "Redemption," Commissioner Durwood Murray has signed a rematch putting Jason Redondo, current SoCal Pro Heavyweight Champion, facing SoCal Crazy, the challenger, in a Lumberjack Strap Match. The rules are simple for a Lumberjack Strap Match, as both Redondo and SoCal Crazy will select a group of wrestlers to surround the ring and the wrestlers for each respective side will be equipped with straps to ensure that neither Redondo nor SoCal attempt to leave the ring. SoCal Crazy would have entered "New Year's Retribution '09" as the new SoCal Pro Heavyweight Champion, but Scott Lost and Joey Ryan, The Elite members, had caused Redondo a disqualification in the match by interfering to attack SoCal Crazy.

Proceeding SoCal Crazy's match against Redondo, Troy Stone, SoCal Pro Ring Announcer, had attempted to get comments from SoCal Crazy, but Stone was not able to get any comments since The Elite attacked SoCal Crazy in the parking lot. No other news has been announced about the incident with The Elite and SoCal Crazy, but the incident basically was about proving a point by showing that SoCal Crazy will never wear gold around his waist with The Elite being around in SoCal Pro. Can the Lumberjack Strap Match benefit SoCal Crazy in becoming the new SoCal Pro Heavyweight Champion, or will SoCal Pro fans have to see The Radiant One continue another year as being our "hero" and champion? On January 10, 2009, you can find out which wrestler will leave Oceanside with his arms raised and announced as heavyweight champion of SoCal Pro Wrestling.

Johnny Goodtime appears to be a problem for The Elite ever since the faction was formed at the "Untitled" show on August, 16, 2008 with Scott Lost and Adam Pearce helping their Elite member and current SoCal Pro Heavyweight Champion, Jason Redondo, retain the title. Months following Goodtime's main event match for the SoCal Pro Heavyweight Title, he went on to face members of The Elite, Scott Lost and Joey Ryan in singles and tag team matches. Moving forward to "New Year's Retribution '09," Goodtime will have an opportunity to face another member of The Elite and former two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Adam Pearce. SoCal Pro fans last saw Pearce defend the NWA World Heavyweight Title against the debuting Shane Haste on SoCal Pro's October 11th show and Pearce once again was able to retain the famous 10 pounds of gold. Two weeks later in Mexico City, Mexico, Blue Demon Jr. defeated Pearce to become the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Pearce still believes that he was screwed out of the NWA World Heavyweight Title in Blue Demon Jr.'s own backyard and Blue Demon Jr. does not deserve to be the champion. Pearce has a lot of frustration on his mind from losing the NWA World Heavyweight Title and he will be prepared to unleash angst on Goodtime at SoCal Pro's upcoming show. Goodtime knows what Pearce is capable of doing in the ring to guarantee a victory and prove The Elite's superiority over anyone in SoCal Pro. Can Johnny Goodtime take down the former two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, or will Adam Pearce use Goodtime as a stepping-stone to reclaim gold?

SoCal Pro Tag Team Championship: Cool Imagery (Hector Canales and Ricky Mandel) (c) vs. Anchors Away (David E. Jones and Ryan Stone)

The 2008 feud between Cool Imagery and The Ballard Brothers came to end at "Redemption" with Cool Imagery making history by finally defeating The Ballard Brothers to become the first ever SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions. On Saturday, January 10, 2009, Cool Imagery will have the responsibility to defend their newly won titles against the petty officers of Anchors Away. The last time that SoCal Pro fans saw Anchors Away in tag team action was back on December 1, 2007, as Johnny Goodtime and Evan Jelik defeated the duo. Since then, Anchors Away have been actively wrestling for various promotions such as LLII, NWPW, and EWF until David E. Jones, Anchors Away member, was deployed out to sea for about 5 months. Due to Jones' real life deployment in the navy, the team of Anchors Away was temporarily put on hold and Ryan Stone had to settle for being a wrestler in singles competition.

As a singles wrestler, Stone had his fair share of wins and losses, but he was more determined in getting back to being a tag team wrestler and possibly putting gold around his waist. Stone's determination has become a reality and he will have an opportunity to capture the SoCal Pro Tag Team Titles alongside his tag team partner, David E. Jones, who recently returned from his naval deployment. 2009 will be a brand new year for everyone including Cool Imagery, the current SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions, and Anchors Away, who will be entering the Oceanside Boys and Girls Club as the challengers. Will Cool Imagery's reign as SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions continue after "New Year's Retribution" or will we see Anchors Away leave Oceanside announced as the new SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions? Super Clash '08 Rematch: "Rock 'N' Roll Rebel Soul" Johnny Yuma vs. Chimaera

Johnny Yuma and Chimaera's first encounter against each other occurred at September's "Super Clash" show with Chimaera upending the debuting Johnny Yuma. Following the two wrestlers' match, Chimaera only made matters worse by displaying his new aggressive attitude with Yuma getting disrespected and spitted on. Yuma knows that this incident was all in the past, but he does not want to forgive and forget about all that Chimaera has done to him as well as Evan Jelik and Shane Haste these past months.

Yuma has already made a new year's resolution or rather a new year's retribution for 2009 and it will be to rock and roll over Chimaera. Commissioner Durwood Murray has approved Yuma's rematch clause against Chimaera and the two wrestlers will once again find themselves on opposite sides of the squared circle to do battle. Can Johnny Yuma's new year's retribution be met by evening up the score with Chimaera, or will Chimaera kick off 2009 with another victory in order to become a top contender for the SoCal Pro Heavyweight Title?

The Ballard Brothers (Shane and Shannon Ballard) vs. Aerial Star and Locura

The Ballard Brothers will be looking forward to some serious retribution, as they will wrestle the newly formed team of Aerial Star and Locura in a tag team attraction. At the moment, The Ballard Brothers are not the team to be bothered since they lost the vacant SoCal Pro Tag Team Titles to Cool Imagery in a Best of 3 Series Challenge. The Ballard Brothers will have to start over again by defeating any tag team put before them in hopes of earning a number one contenders spot for the SoCal Pro Tag Team Titles. Aerial Star and Locura will have the important task in being The Ballard Brothers' first opponents to start off the brand new year of 2009.

SoCal Pro fans have not seen Aerial Star and Locura wrestle as a tag team, but the SoCal Pro fans were able to see Aerial Star and Locura wrestle in singles competition on past SoCal Pro shows. Aerial Star made his SoCal Pro debut at "Collision Course II" when he defeated Matt Twizted and Locura was last seen at "Super Clash '08" being defeated in a controversial manner by Anchors Away member, Ryan Stone. "New Year's Retribution '09" will be the first time that the SoCal Pro fans get to witness these two teams battle for a chance to compete against the SoCal Pro Tag Team Champions in the near future. Can the young high-flyers, Aerial Star and Locura, upset the veteran tag team, or will The Ballard Brothers gain retribution after suffering a huge tag team title loss in November?
