The in-ring future of WWE's Big E remains uncertain, but fans will soon be able to see him as part of the upcoming Peacock comedy series Laid.

Laid follows a woman who learns that her former lovers are dying in strange ways and must go through her 'sex timeline' to learn the reason for these grisly scenes. The series is written and executive produced by Nahnatchka Khan (Totally Killer, Young Rock) and Sally Bradford McKenna (Son of Zorn).

Big E has an unspecified role in the show but was not the only name revealed by Deadline this week. Other names attached include Andre Hyland (Barry), Olivia Holt (Totally Killer), David Denman (The Office), Finneas O’Connell (Academy Award and Grammy Winning Singer/Songwriter), Chloe Fineman (SNL), Indya Moore (Pose), Ettore “Big E” Ewen (WWE Superstar) and John Early (Would it Kill You to Laugh).

It's no wonder why Peacock has selected Big E for the upcoming comedy series. As part of The New Day, the former WWE World Champion has been flexing his comedic muscles (in addition to his actual muscles) and he has proven to be a hit with the WWE Universe.

This new show is a huge opportunity for Big E who hasn't competed in a WWE ring in over two years. A broken neck suffered during a March 2022, edition of WWE SmackDown has derailed Big E's in-ring career with questions looming as to whether he'll be able to wrestle again. While Big E isn't sure what the future holds, he is remaining his usual positive self and is thinking positive.
