AEW Rampage

This week on Rampage, the AEW World Tag Team Champions Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus will put their titles on the line against the top-ranked Gunn Club, Austin and Colten Gunn, with Billy Gunn in their corner. The Young Bucks vs Roppongi Vice. Plus, the cold-hearted handsome devil HOOK faces QT Marshall’s top student Blake Li.

– This week's show kicks off with the opening package and then we shoot inside the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

The Young Bucks vs. Roppongi Vice

Tag-team action gets us started in the ring on this week's show, as The Young Bucks and Rippongi Vice kick things off inside the squared circle.

After an elaborate ring entrance as promised heading into tonight's show, we get the NJPW-style vibes straight out of the gate.

Both teams are in the ring and now it's time for our first of four advertised bouts to get underway. The bell gets this one off-and-running.

Early on we see some back-and-forth action where the Bucks ultimately pull ahead into the offensive lead. They even mock "Giving the People what they Want" with a sarcastic Best Friends style hug.

The action picks up from there and then we see this match hit a new level of fast-paced, high-spot-filled, crowd-popping violence as Trent and Rocky Romero take over the offensive driver's seat.

A big Avalanche Suplex is followed by a Strong Zero pin attempt from Trent to Jackson for a super close near fall. Shortly thereafter, we see a Meltzer Driver for a close near fall from the Bucks. Moments later a BTE Trigger finishes the job for Nick and Matt.

Winners: The Young Bucks

Once the match wraps up, we see Orange Cassidy do his wimpy "Sweet Shin Music" style spot on Brandon Cutler in the ring before decking him with a vicious Orange Punch.

We see the numbers game play a factor as the Bucks treat the "Freshly Squeezed One" to a Super Kick Party until former NJPW Grand Slam Champion Jay White hits the ring to make the save, running the Bucks out of the ring. On that note, we head to a commercial break.

– When we return from the break, we get a word from Ricky Starks, who announces a Face of the Revolution Qualifier between Dante Martin and Powerhouse Hobbs.

– We shoot to a backstage interview segment where featuring Bryan Danielson and Lee Moriarty.

After Danielson addresses Jon Moxley's reaction to his offer to join forces and the Mox and CM Punk match coming up next week, we get a match announced featuring the "American Dragon" and Moriarty.

Danielson makes it clear he wants to see violence from Moriarty next week.

Dr. Britt Baker vs. Robyn Renegade

It's time for some action from the AEW women's division, as AEW Women's Champion Dr. Britt Baker heads to the ring.

Her opponent this evening will be Robyn Renegade, who is in the ring as well as the bell finally sounds to get this one started.

The commentators focus on Jamie Hayter not being anywhere in sight for this match. Meanwhile, Baker jumps off to a lopsided offensive lead.

Renegade finally gets a moment or two to shine later in the contest, however it isn't long before Baker ultimately finishes this one off.

After the bout wraps up, Rebel provides an assist to Baker as she adds insult to injury on Renegade until Thunder Rosa hits the ring and takes them both out.

Hayter finally does show up, as does Mercedes Martinez. They argue over who is gonna take Rosa out, which leads to her successfully escaping the cheap set-up attempt.

Winner: Dr. Britt Baker

Hook vs. Blake Li

We go to a quick vignette looking at the growing rivalry between Leyla Hirsch and Kris Statlander and then we get ready for our third of four scheduled matches on tonight's card.

It's time for arguably the fastest rising young star in AEW right now, as the sounds of Action Bronson fills the Boardwalk Hall and Hook makes his way down to the ring.

The commentators have some fun discussing Taz's son and Ricky Starks' fellow Team Taz stablemate with the two being half of the four-man booth calling the action tonight and every week on Rampage.

When this one is all said-and-done, it gets chalked up as another win for the promising prospect and another week his flawless win/loss record remains in tact.

Winner: Hook

– Back from the break, Mark Henry is speaking with the participants in tonight’s main event. Billy Gunn talks about them beating up Christian Cage. Cage makes sure to mention “Ass Boys” a few times.

AEW Tag-Team Championships: Jurassic Express vs. The Gunn Club

Jungle Boy and Austin Gunn trade holds to start. Austin Gunn takes down Jungle Boy with a shoulder block. Jungle Boy delivers his own shoulder block. Wild swing and a miss by Austin Gunn. Jungle Boy hits a chop and a springboard arm drag that Austin Gunn tries to reverse, but Jungle Boy turns it into a clothesline.

Luchasuraus tags in and attacks both Gunn boys on the arena floor. Austin Gunn is brought into the ring and Luchasaurus takes him down with an overhand chop. Jungle Boy hits a senton off Luchasaurus’ shoulders for a pin attempt. Colten Gunn finally gets into the match and knocks down Jungle Boy as we go into the picture-in-picture break.

Back from the break, Austin Gunn has grounded Jungle Boy with a headlock. Jungle Boy elbows his way out of it. Jungle Boy dodges a wild charge by Austin Gunn but he can’t make the tag. Colten Gunn is in and takes down Jungle Boy. Austin Gunn tags in and Jungle Boy hits him with a superkick and tags in Luchasaurus.

Luchasaurus runs wild on both Gunn boys. Splashes to both of them in the corners and a double clothesline to put them both down. Luchasaurus grabs the Gunn boys for a double chokeslam but they escape to the floor. Jungle Boy follows them out with a dive.

Luchasaurus hits a standing moonsault on Colten Gunn for a near fall. Jungle Boy tags in but the double team attempt is broken up by Austin Gunn. Austin Gunn takes Luchasaurus to the outside. Jungle Boy tries to hit him with a dive, but Austin Gunn dodges it and Jungle Boy hits Luchasaurus.

Christian Cage and Billy Gunn get into it on the floor. The Gunn boys hit Jungle Boy with the ring bell while referee Aubrey Edwards is distracted but Jungle Boy kicks out.

Gunn Club tries to set up for a double team but Luchasaurus pulls Colten Gunn out of the ring and chokeslams him over the ringside barricade. Austin Gunn goes for the Famouser on Jungle Boy, but Jungle Boy avoids it and hits the Killswitch (Christian Cage’s finisher) to get the pin.

Winner: Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus
