Robomodo has already expressed interest in using the peripheral board from Tony Hawk Ride in other titles, but they might also be making plans for a Ride sequel already. Studio president Josh Tsui told IndustryGamers that they've already been brainstorming for what could come next in the series. "Obviously, we're very focused on getting [Tony Hawk Ride] done, but being the creative types that we are, we're always writing up new game proposals and things we want to do," he said. "It's just a matter of timing. With Tony Hawk: Ride finishing up, [we have to think about] the sequel to the game and where that fits into our schedules. It's a lot of juggling at this point."
Activision is known for its tendency to iterate on popular franchises, and Tony Hawk was one for several years before critics and fans felt it was getting stale. If this new revamp of Tony Hawk is a success, a sequel is sure to be just around the corner. It never hurts to plan ahead.
