This quote from PTOM states the addition of a Paint Tool(Anybody reminded of DoR?), along with some details of the costume changing, and small looks at CAF and CA-Storyline.

"If you want a further injection of individual expression, use the new Paint Tool to create your own tattoos, logos, and designs for your Superstar. And for the first time, you can alter the appearance of the WWE Superstars by changing the colors of their costumes using the Superstar Threads mode.
Once you've got your look down you can access the elaborate WWE Story Designer function to create and customize a storyline for your specially created Superstar. Again, you'll be presented with a dizzying array of options to determine everything from the plot - you can actually type in each performer's dialouge- to locations to camera angles to your character's emotional reactions. With the melodramatic setup in place, turn your attention to creating the show card by determining the number, type, and parameters of matches...
Last year, all the Create-A-Finisher moves were based upon grapples from the front. This year, in addition to 30-percent more options for front grapple moves, you have the option to destroy opponents with various dives from the turnbuckle.

Also stated by PTOM is that there will be 60+ playable characters, 70+ match types(I think this may be total, like single and triple threat cage matches are different types), 76 hairstyles available for CAW, a max of 10 steps in CAF, and they can be adjusted for speed, trajectory, height... and each model, even caws have at least 20,000 polygons

WWE held a chat with THQ's Jon Durr to promote the forthcoming Smackdown vs. Raw videogame. Durr noted fans will be able to create their own storylines with the new game (as opposed to just playing ones scripted into the game) then share them with other fans online. He said there would some new match types, including something specifically for the Divas. Fans purchasing the game from Gamestop will be able to receive a code to download Steve Austin for the game. There will be 16 Arenas and more backstage areas than ever before. WWE Superstars (the show) will not be included in the game. Announce teams for the game will be Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler, Jim Ross & Tazz, and Todd Grisham & Striker as the commentary audio had to be recorded well in advance in order to be ready for the game
