For the second straight year, UFC fighter Chael Sonnen will serve as host of Fighters Only's World MMA Awards.

Sonnen has again has been paired up with CBS Sports Network/NFL Network anchor Molly Qerim.

The duo hosts the 2012 World MMA Awards official ceremony, which is a black-tie ceremony held Jan. 11 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Broadcast and/or streaming plans haven't been announced for the event, though Versus and FUEL TV has aired past installments.

Sonnen currently is coaching opposite UFC light-heavyweight Jon Jones on "The Ultimate Fighter 17," which debuts in January on FX. He and Jones then meet at an April 27 pay-per-view event in Newark, N.J. It's Sonnen's first fight since a failed bid to take middleweight champion Anderson Silva's title in July.

The World MMA Awards feature 21 fan-voted categories, including the prestigious Charles "Mask" Lewis Fighter of the Year. Ronda Rousey, Daniel Cormier, Nate Diaz, Benson Henderson and Jon Jones are the category's nominees.

The awards recognize achievements from Sept. 1, 2011, to Sept. 30, 2012 (a 13-month span), and voting can be done at worldmmaawards.com through Dec. 31. Nearly a half-million votes were cast for this past year's awards.

Tickets for the black-tie ceremony, which is open to the public, are currently on sale and cost $35. The event includes red-carpet arrivals and a full program with many attending fighters, promoters, managers, sponsors and other MMA notables.
