Two matches have been announced for the next special for the NXT brand, NXT TakeOver: XXV.

On Friday, Triple H took to his official Twitter account where he announced the top matches for the show. This was done to promote the fact that the tickets are officially on sale for the event today.

Adam Cole vs. NXT Champion Johnny Gargano and Io Shirai vs. NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler have been set for Takeover. Although WWE has yet to announce the headliner of this show, it will likely be Gargano vs. Cole for the top title in the developmental brand. Triple H tweeted the following on the event:

The show will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT. For those who are wondering, the seating capacity is 10,000.

This will be a historic show as it marks the 25th special in the history of the yellow brand. WWE will be announcing more matches for the show in the coming weeks.

As noted, WWE had originally planned for this show to be held on June 8 in San Jose, California. However, the company had to change plans as they will hold a show in Saudi Arabia on June 7.
