Default Molly Holly talks WWE/WCW Bid War, Head Shaving, Big Butt, & Life Afte

    Show: Wrestling Epicenter
Guest(s): "Molly Holly" Nora Greenwald & TNA Team Canada's Eric Young
    Date: 2/9/06
Your Hosts: James Walsh, Brendon Brooks, Ben Benya, & "Queen of Extreme" Francine
    Transcripts by Chris Furguson

This week, we've got 3 of wrestling's hottest stars on the Wrestling Epicenter!

First, our trusty "Girl Friday" that joins us every Wednesday... Maybe we should call her "Girl Wednesday?" Anyway, the hottest woman in wrestling history in my humble opinion, "The Queen of Extreme" Francine stops by with a Sandman story and talks about her experiences at the WET Wrestling TV tapings this past weekend... That show sounds out there. I can't wait until it is on pay per view! But, you don't have to wait to see new pictures of the former ECW sex symbol! New, hot, and steamy photos of "The Queen of Extreme" Francine are online now at her great new web site, http://www.MissyHyattandFrancineTV.com.

Up next, a hot young prospect that I am a mark for. The humorous and very nervous member of Team Canada in TNA, "Showtime" Eric Young stops by for a fun and light interview. Be sure and catch Eric Young this Sunday on pay-per-view as he and Team Canada fend off Team 3D in a match that is sure to steal the show!

And finally, one of wrestling's most pure and sweet women. The incomperable "Molly Holly" Nora Greenwald stops by to discuss her "Shooting the Crap" DVD which you can get at http://www.NoraDVD.com and to hype her upcoming appearance at Arizona's own Impact Zone Wrestling held in Tempe, Arizona on Valentine's Day at the Sets!

All this plus your top wrestling headlines and debate all from your friends at the Wrestling Epicenter!

    "MIGHTY MOLLY HOLLY" NORA GREENWALD
(Interview conducted by James Walsh and Brendon Brooks)

The conversation starts off with a bit about driving with your
cellphone in Chicago and how it's illegal in New York. Then, they
    shoot for a few seconds.

The "official" interview starts with a countdown then...

James does a intro, including most of Nora's recent gimmicks, then
asks if he can defy convention and call her "Miss Madness!" Nora
laughs, then says "I don't get called that often." When asked, she
doesn't get a lot of people shouting "Molly!" at her.

What has Nora been up to since leaving the WWE? She's just leaving
Chicago at the moment, doing some sightseeing as well as some ice
skating, which she hasn't done in 10 years. "Every day is so
different that it's hard to narrow it down to one thing that I'm
doing." She's also a "real estate investor" and does lots of
traveling and things with her church.

Nora's "Shooting the Crap" DVD is the next topic. She mentions that
she saw Chris Benoit's DVD ("Hard Knocks"), which had interviews with
his family and matches. "I thought that was so much better than
sitting in a motel room, talk about wrestling type of thing." On the
DVD, she talks about how she got into wrestling as well as a "Cribs"
    style tour of her house.

A portion of the DVD proceeds goes to "Crash Holly's daughter's
    (Patricia) education fund.

James shares a story from of the Madusa interview (also available in
the Wrestling EpiCenter archives). In the story, Madusa is driving
her car backwards and almost runs into Nora. Nora then runs into the
arena screaming "Madusa's trying to kill me!" Molly doesn't remember
    it.

Team Madness "was so awesome" for Nora. She went from "roughing it"
on the Indy circuit to being "treated like a star" in WCW. She also
got to work with the likes of Hogan, Flair and Kevin Nash "right from
    the start."

Brendon has the next question: "Is Randy as high strung as he seems?"
Nora's response is "he's a pretty intense individual."

Jeff Jarrett once hit Nora with a guitar. The question, which Brendon
eventually gets to, is "Did Standard and Practices go crazy when it
happened?" Nora says "Not that I know of. Nobody said anything good
or bad to me about it." Nora then adds "One person asked if I wanted
to keep the guitar." She said "No," but now realizes she could have
    sold it on eBay.

Ms. Greenwald was fired from WCW, which was why she left! Randy got
her a 2-year deal with WCW, with the "first year being 'good money'
and the second year 'amazing money.'" Then, 6 months in, Randy quit
and "Miss Madness" was left in limbo. For the next 6 months, while
she was getting paid for doing nothing, WCW made a "smart business
    decision" and fired Nora.

The WWE was not initially interested in Nora, when she tried out a
couple of years earlier. Then, as "Miss Madness" for a month in WCW
without a contract, Randy staged a "bidding war" of sorts over her
between WCW and WWE over her.

Of all her WWE gimmicks (A sweetheart, a superhero, a tough girl and
an all-out heel) the one that was easiest for Nora to do was "the love
story with Spike." She adds that "I'm not that cheesy in my personal
life, but it was still, probably the closest."

It was Nora's idea to shave her hair for Wrestlemania 20. She
suggested it, briefly, to Vince [McMahon] "about eight months before
Wrestlemania 20." Then, about 3 months before that Wrestlemania, she
brought it up again, this time to both Stephanie [McMahon] and Vince,
who said they would let her to it. She adds that she was "a little
disappointed that, with so much advance notice, that it wasn't a
    strong build up for it."

Nora's natural hair color is "kind of a multi-brown with a few grays."
    It's also "about gym length."

On the subject of "Hair vs Hair" matches where the guy just gets a
haircut, Nora goes "That's horrible, I hate that! What a rip-off for
the fans!" She then adds a story about how Bubba Dudley told her "if
you're going to do this, do it all the way." Nora was going to put
her hair on the WWE auction site, but they refused to do it because of
    the DNA.

The subject of Molly's "big rear end" is next. Nora says "Oh, well
that's all behind me now" which gets a chuckle out of James. Nora
then says that Jerry Lawler "does what he's told to do" and adds that
he was getting "lots of hate mail for saying it." It also offended
    her "greatly."

Was Nora unhappy with her status at the end of her WWE run? "I didn't
like being a heel," she says, "...but it was still a great job." The
then mentions how everyone has parts of their job they don't like. "I
didn't like the character I was playing, but I still love traveling
with the WWE. I love the people I worked with and I like the MONEY I
    made there!"

Nora clears up the rumors about her leaving the WWE in her "shoot"
DVD, but "The story itself is so dramatic. That's why I don't tell it
in interviews cause it's a bit much." After not having to pay a toll,
she then adds that the DVD is the only place where you'll hear the
    whole story from the source.

Nora's appearance at the Feb. 14 Impact Wrestling Zone show in Tempe,
AZ is mentioned. Nora is coming to Arizona for two reasons: One, her
brother lives in Arizona, and Two, she's friends with Justin Roberts,
    who runs the show.

The three then shoot on the weather in Arizona for a few minutes,
    along with "Snowbirds" and "Q-Tips."

    Word Associations:

When the subject is first brought up, Nora goes "Those always get me
in trouble!" When pressed, she explains "the first thing that comes
to my mind is something really mean or awful."

Crash Holly: "A good friend that helped me a lot and I miss him very much."

Bob Holly: "He is one tough guy, usually grumpy, but he was always
    very nice to me."

Gorgeous George: "That girl is a riot! I think she is hilarious."

Gail Kim: "Gail's my favorite tag team partner."

Christy Hemme: "Christy has spunk and she's very sweet."

Victoria: "Victoria is one of my favorite people to wrestle."

Madusa: "She is one of the pioneers of women's wrestling"

Ivory: "She is one of my best friends."

Stephanie McMahon: "She carried herself like a leader."

Vince McMahon: "Vince McMahon is an amazing person."

The interview ends with a plug for the Impact Wrestling Zone show Feb.
14th and a plug for The Wrestling Epicenter

I spent two months not far from where Molly Holly lives... She's a pretty cool chick (not that I've ever met her though). I might check the interview out
