Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul announced they would meet in the ring on Feb. 20. Then the world waited for details.

Now, the online platform responsible for promoting the event has pumped the brakes on the event. Fanmio, which connects celebrities and fans for unique fan-driven experiences, on Tuesday confirmed to ESPN the exhibition boxing match is being postponed to a date TBA.

The postponement arrives with 18 days before the event was scheduled to take place. Fanmio set tiered pricing for the online pay-per-view, with early birds getting in at $24.99 to watch and latecomers paying $69.99.

Odds for the exhibition bout, whose rules and location remained fuzzy until Tuesday’s announcement, were astronomically in favor of Mayweather, who came out of retirement in 2017 to stop former two-division UFC champ Conor McGregor and improve his boxing record to 50-0. The multi-title former boxing champ opened as a -5000 favorite over Paul, whose lone professional boxing match ended in a decision loss to fellow YouTube star KSI.

Both Mayweather and Paul have dabbled in exhibition bouts, with the former returning to the ring for a meeting with Tenshin Nasukawa and the latter starting the online celebrity boxing craze with a white-collar boxing match against KSI.

Paul is optimistic the bout will be rescheduled.

“We’re figuring it out now,” he told The Night Shift Gaming. “When you’re dealing with someone like Floyd Mayweather, who is the most desired, high-paid fighter on the planet, and he operates at a certain caliber, and the people around him want to make sure their talent, their fighter is performing at a certain level, there are a lot of hoops to jump through.

“There are a lot of people involved, and you’ve only got one shot at it. So you need to get it absolutely 1000 percent right, and we’re just making sure we’re doing that. But yeah, I’m still going to beat the sh*t out of Floyd Mayweather, or maybe he’s going to beat the sh*t out of me. Point is, it’s still going to happen.”

Paul’s younger brother, fellow YouTube celebrity Jake Paul, is scheduled to take on Ben Askren in a pro boxing match on April 17. Jake Paul knocked out ex-NBA player Nate Robinson on the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. event promoted by social media platform Triller; the clip instantly went viral.
