UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Amanda Nunes successfully defended the gold against Megan Anderson in the co-main event of UFC 259.

It appeared that UFC 259 would be the final time the women’s featherweight division would be showcased, but UFC President Dana White has other ideas.

“We’ll keep that division cranking as long as the champ-champ wants to defend it,” White said at the UFC 259 post-fight press conference.

Nunes, who is also the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, has cleaned out the women’s featherweight division, which still doesn’t have any rankings at the moment.

White also says that Julianna Pena could be next for Nunes, with that bout happening at bantamweight.
