Live from Hammerstein Ballroom, New York
We get a recap from the very special " Quantum Bash " PPV. EAM Promotions likes to give a special thanx to everyone involved with the production of the show, from the ring crew guys to the guys in the production truck. You made it possible! We then cut to the room with all the screens and monitors. Archibald thanx Cole, Strong, O'Reilly and Fish for the help, and hopefully this event will work two-ways. The guys asks Archibald what he means by that. Archibald explains that with this PPV, wrestling fans all over the world got to experience matches they would never ever experience otherwise. But more importantly, we put out a bait to lure Emil A. out from his cave. Archibald then push a big red button. We cut to the Jamboree vignette...
And we are back to normality again! We go to ringside where Daniel and Nigel welcomes us to another episode of Monday Night Jamboree, from EAM's own arena, Hammerstein Ballroom. How nice it feels, like it's been a while since we've been here. Daniel and Nigel also talks about the fact that their bodies are beaten and bruised, almost like they have been in a wrestling match. Odd no doubt. We have a action-filled show for you all tonight so let's waste no more time. Melissa, take it away!
All back to normality at least we think so.
Tag Team Matchup
The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander) Vs The Butcher & The Blade
Big match from both teams. Double teaming spots and big bumps. North actually get the win in this one though.
As we get back from commercial break, music cranks the arena speakers.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvmN5O5LpkE . Lashley get's a mixed reaction from the crowd, but a loud one nevertheless. He makes his way down the rampway before making it into the ring where he gestures for a microphone and gets handed one by one of the guys at ringside. As his music fades, Lashley cut's a promo, or rather shoots a promo. He tells a story, about a guy who wrecked the competition in every promotion he ever worked for. That guy's name is Bobby Lashley! He gets interrupted...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXtze-FQ3cE . A much bigger pop this time. Out on the stage walks a new and rejuvenated Drew McIntyre. He looks menacing! He walks with determined steps down the rampway. Lashley does not move, he just smiles. Drew grabs a microphone before entering the ring. His music fades out as he walks straight up to Lashley, without hesitation. Drew wastes no time, cutting straight to the chase. He says to Lashley " Let me tell you a story about a guy who was underused in every promotion he ever worked for " That man's name is Drew McIntyre! But that part of the story ends right here tonight. If Lashley wants to prove himself in EAM, he better step back in line! Lashley then out from nowhere delivers a devastating spear, knocking Drew out cold. But he's not finished. Lashley lifts Drew up and nails a sit-down powerbomb, just to make a statement. Lashley's music cranks the arena speakers as we cut to another segment...
Makes sense for the build and opening feud match for Lashley.
We find ourselves in some sort of temple. Randy Orton and Salina De La Renta is holding hands, doing some sort of ritual. They are standing inside a pentagram made of lit candles, in front of them is a statue recembling some sort of luchador. Salina says something in spanish that involves the devil before she starts to speak in another language, almost like gibberish. The pitch of her voice goies higher and higher as she reaches the momentum. Then all the candles suddenly blows out....then lights back on... Salina and Randy release hands, then Orton asks Salina what now? Salina tells Orton " Now we wait " Orton says he's got no time to wait. He needs to get rid of this Fiend before he makes an impact on the roster, and that bitch Alexa! Grandslam is under 3 months away. He does not need this. He almost starts to cry. This is a side of Orton we've never seen. It's almost like Alexa has broken his spirits. Salina tries to confort him, telling him that " HE " will fix things. But if...... Nah.... Orton looks up at Salina, asking her what's on her mind. Salina sits down on Orton's lap, looking him in the eyes. " What if You and I make things ready til " HE " comes? " We cut back to ringside...
Uh oh...hmm wonder who it could be. I just wonder it’s...
Singles Matchup
Sammy Guevara Vs Ricky Starks
Fun match from both men. Typical high flying and fast action spots. At the end of the match Sammy gets the win after the rewind 630 for the 3 count.
We get to see highlights from a interview that Renee Young did with The EAM Television Champion; MJF last week. Cornette does most of the talking, telling Renee that it's important that his client has the best challengers possible. It wouldn't look good if someone like for example Orange Cassidy gets a shot you know? (He then makes a fun of Cassidy's gimmick and charades) He then puts down a couple of other examples before Renee asks them if they don't know who MJF is scheduled to face at the upcoming PPV? Both MJF and Cornette are clueless as the news obviously has not hit them, before now. When Renee tells them who MJF is scheduled to face, both Cornette and MJF goes bonkers, ending the interview after throwing a fit of anger...
Gotta be Benoit after what happened at the PPV and MJF believes he is above him and Benoit is nothing but have to be careful not to count him out.
Singles Matchup
Will Ospreay Vs Dominik Dijakovic
Marty " The Moth " interferes in the matchup and attacks Dominik, making the match a no-contest. They brawl outside the ring and both men gets in some shots. Marty irishwhips Dominik into the guardrail and follows it up with a lariat. He gets major boooo's from the audience, but he does not care. He loves it! He poses for the audience, getting more heat as he goes along. He does not focus on the downed Dominik however, and does not see that Dominik is back on his feet. He charges wit a big boot who connects with Marty's face before he follows up with lifting Marty up and sending him trough the announce table with a devastating powerbomb. We cut to commercial break as Dominik's music cranks the arena speakers. He poses over the lifeless Marty as the commentators picks up notepads and ipads etc....
As we are about to go to our next match we get a announcement regarding two matches that's been added to the upcoming " At Gunpoint " PPV. Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre is now scheduled to square off in singles competition. And after what happened right before the commercial break, we are now getting Donovan Dijakovic vs Marty " The Moth " Martinez in a Tables Are Legal Matchup!
Two more matches so it makes sense. Not much build for that stip between the men but makes sense.
4-On-4 Tag Team Matchup
The Golden Monkey Brotherhood (Paul London, The Brian Kendrick, Angelico & Jack Evans)
Vs
The Dynasty (Richard Holliday, Alexander Hammerstone, Gino Medina & EC3)
Big match from everyone involved here. Signature, finishing, high flying and big spots. Lot of double teaming spots. At the end of the match Dynasty pick up the win after a quadruple pin. They don’t need MJF!.
As we are about to go to our main event of the evening, music cranks the arena speakers.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay_p03CEDi8 . Rey walks out on the stage alone, getting quite a pop from the audience. He makes his way down the ramp towards the ring, but then from behind comes Pentagon Jr. He is furious, and go at Rey from behind. Rey has no chance, as he does not know what's coming at him. He goes down on the rampway with a big impact. Pentagon throws punches and kicks at Rey who has more than enough with defending himself. Pentagon grabs a hold of Rey's mask and starts to rip. Rey fights back, but the mask rips. Pentagon does not lose the grip. He does not give up before Rey's mask is off. Rey covers his face as Pentagon stands over him with his mask in hand. Security comes to the aid, but Pentagon fights them off as he walks backwards up the rampway. One thing's for certain, it was not Rey who hogged the limelight just now, but Pentagon Jr. He surely sent a message with his actions.
Good build. Gonna be a long one. Think Pentagon should be the face and Fenix the back guy.
Falls Count Anywhere Tag Team Matchup
Young Bucks Vs Darby Allin & Jimmy Havoc
No reason for the stipulation but okay. Good double teaming spots and action as usual. Back and forth moves outside the ring. Coffin drop from the Hammerstein balcony. Bucks end it after a double dive off the top of the ballroom for the 3 count.
As the show is about to end the camera cut's to a promotional video. We see a video package of Shawn Michaels career. Undoubtebly the greatest career in pro wrestling ever. Shawn has done it all, he has inspired so many. Broken so many records. Video package ends with Shawn Michaels EAM Title win last season, going into Grandslam as EAM Champion. A feat that nobody ever thought would be possibly at this day. But Shawn proved everyone wrong once again. Then along came Keith Lee... Mister Grandslam lost within the inch of his life, and Shawn would not only see his Grandslam streak go, but also The EAM World Heavyweight Championship. We then go to realtime, where Shawn talks about how it was, returning to the ring after such a long time. And he gotta admit, sometimes he regret coming back. But then, sometimes he imagine himself doing this forever. And Shawn is not the man who looks back. That's why he wants to send Keith Lee a challenge, willing to let Lee decide any stipulation or gimmick he wants to if he accepts, because Grandslam is under 3 months away, and Shawn wants to wear gold when that time comes. After all, A Legend like himself need to look good at the grandest stage...
Hmm interesting. Thought Shawn was gonna be at Grandslam anyway. Big opportunity but Lee has yet to return. No idea when or what gimmick it would be though and Lee may have other plans.
As the show ends we see and hear that Keith Lee will return at the next PPV Gunpoint to address his future and Grandslam plans.
