But Rosa gets suddenly distracted as the titantron suddenly starts to flicker and music cranks the arena speakers and she releases her hold on Bayley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3HSuCxNloo . She's not the only one in the arena who's distracted by the sudden change of events. Everyone's eyes are focused on the titantron and the stage below. What is Chavo doing here? But, nobody walks out onto the stage. Is it some sort of joke or prank? Neither girl in the ring is paying any attention to anything else at this moment, not even the referee. BAAAMMM! What the hell?! One of the cameramen just wacked Thunder Rosa down with his camera! What the hell is going on here? The referee does not see it, but Bayley does and she seizes the opportunity offcourse. She quickly goes for a pin, and the referee suddenly recognize what's happening. She starts the 3 count, but Thunder Rosa gets one of her foots up on then bottom rope, but the cameraman from before pushes Rosa's leg off the rope. The referee reaches the 3 count and Bayley retains! What controversy! What is this cameraman's beef? But almost before Brian and Nigel asks the question, they get it answered, as the cameraman reveals himself to not be a man at all, but none other than Shaul Guerrero. She grabs a microphone from the announce table in front of Brian and Nigel before getting herself into the ring, where Thunder Rosa is still down, and Bayley is posing with her titles. Shaul screams for the men backstage to cut the music, and before insulting Bayley further she tells Bayley not to take it personal, as Shaul has no beef with her. But she has a couple of things to say to this " Puta! " Shaul then cuts a promo, telling Rosa how sick she is of Rosa's attitutude towards the other girls and especially herself. She has no clue why Rosa picked her to bully, but she can assure Rosa one thing. She's gonna regret it. For weeks, months actually, she's been mocked and teased about her position in the company. Mocked for not even having worked a official match. Well, that might be true, and that might be only one thing that differs herself from Rosa, but one thing is for certain, Shaul does not cheat! And she will not be standing back, watching Thunder Rosa go on with her antics and bad attitude any more! Shaul then informs Rosa that it might interest her that Shaul is shceduled to have her first official match in EAM Promotion very, very soon. Actually, it's on a show named Grandslam. Tunder Rosa might have heard of it. Shaul laughs...then continues, informing Thunder Rosa that she's actually scheduled for a match at Grandslam herself,, allthough she's done nothing to deserve it. You see, Shaul want her matches to mean something, to count for something. And her debut will do just that. As she is going to humiliate Tunder Rosa on the grandest stage of them all! Shaul drops the microphone with that statement, to a rendering of her father's old entrance song, as she leaves the ring....

    Slammy Awards

    Greatest Wrestler: WALTER

Yea I agree with this. Lot of people it could have been MJF, Moxley, Orton, Mickie but think it’s WALTER for sure.

Biggest Achievement: Both WALTER & Bayley holding 3 titles simultaneously

Yes I guess this is the right choice also. Could be Heavy’s long reign also. Maybe that was second.

Greatest Feud: MJF & tEAM Vs EAM Management

Has to be haha. Lot of great ones though.

    Most Underrated Wrestler: Timothy Thatcher

Not surprised by this but wouldn’t entirely agree.

    Greatest Tag Team: Heavy Machinery

Pretty much the only choice here. Bucks probably the second and Sasha and Bianca would be high as well.

Most Underrated Tag Team: The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander)

Lot of teams and they’ve been around for a while not doing much. Okay with this.

Greatest Performance by a Non-Wrestler: Mila Kunis

Lot of non wrestlers this year. I guess the other celebs would be high up as well.

Greatest Performance by a Non-EAM Wrestler: Nick Gage

Can’t really think of anyone else. This is always a tough category. Guess it makes sense.

Biggest Pop: Maculay Culkin, David Arquette & Bruce Campbell throwing Nick Gage over the top rope during The Slobberknocker Match

Kind of surprised by this but I guess it was a shock. Lot of big names, returns and title changes could have been number one also.

    Biggest Heat: MJF & tEAM

Without a doubt the right answer. Doubt a second place is even needed. MJF is gonna love all these awards.

    Biggest Breaktrough: Aaron Stevens

Didn’t think about this but he has done a lot. Went from a jobber really to winning a title and an important role in EAM recently. Also think Jade, Mercer, Wardlow would be high.

Best Newcomers: 1. Danhausen & Nikkita Lyons 2. Hook 3. Rex Steiner 4. Chad Gable 5. Skye Blue

Guess it makes sense. Wardlow I’d also put high on the list.

Greatest Worker: Triple C (Claudio " Cesaro " Castagnoli)

Yes he deserves it. Has been consistent for years. Wonder if he will ever win the big one.

Biggest Oh My Gawd Moment Of The Season: Emil A. Vs Travis Gerweck - Weedwacker (Grandslam 16)

The right choice as well I think. Awesome match. Every PPV could win this award.

Most Emotional Moment: The end of Pride

Think this one is right as well.

Best Off-Camera Performance: Quinn McKay (For her work as Spotlight GM)

She’s done a lot. So no issues or problems here.

Greatest Manager/Valet: Salina De La Renta & Paul Heyman

Yea I agree. Also could be Cornette and Sinister Minister in the top five. Maybe fans just didn’t wanna vote for anyone relating to MJF.

    Match Of The Year

    1. Keith Lee (c) Vs Shawn Michaels Vs MJF (Grandslam 16)

    2. MJF (c) Vs Jon Moxley (Supersplash XI)

    3. Bayley (c) Vs Mickie James (Fight For Glory 16)

    4. WALTER (c) Vs Samoa Joe (Cyberslam Six)

    5. MJF (c) Vs Randy Orton (The Jewel In The Crown)

Yes I agree with this list as well actually. Lot of WALTER/MJF/Shawn/Orton/Mickie matches would be in the top ten.

Welcome everybody to another PPV what a night it should be, it’s already been an amazing night with the Slammies so let’s continue it on. As we are about to start the show we see a limo pull up and oh no look who’s inside…MJF wearing both his title and Walters title but what the hell is he doing we have a title match tonight. He walks up to the interviewer and says that it’s going to be a beautiful night I can feel it. Does this company really think they can have another fucking another show without the world champion…who the fuck do they think they are?. Well I am in control now because I am hijacking the main event unless I get my way and my rules!. If they want a title match to happen tonight then I will be the special special guest referee and they will follow my rules!. Wow did you hear that…what an announcement, unless he’s the referee…the match isn’t going to happen!. Take it away Melissa!.

    Triple Threat Tag Team Matchup
Rex & Rick Steiner Vs Hook & Taz Vs Rey & Dominik Mysterio

Everyone comes out getting different reactions. Back-and-forth match with highflying, double teaming, signature and finishing moves throughout. This is a first time and possibly last ever time match all three sons are fighting each other!. Belly to belly, ranas, submissions from everybody in the match. 619 also. TAZMISSION ALSO BUT NOT ENOUGH. HOOK and Rex are the standouts here. HOOK even wears his FTW title around the waist throughout the match. Rick looks for the finish but wait…what is this…through the crowd that’s Scott!. What the hell is he doing here he stands behind Rick and nails him with a belly to belly!!!. Rex goes after him following him through the crowd asking him what the hell is he doing!?. Back in the ring Rey is about to make the cover as HOOK locks in the REDRUM ON REY…DOMINICK LOOKS FOR THE SAVE BUT TAZMISSION TO HIM. REY AND DOM GO EYE TO EYE…DOMINICK PLEADING WITH REY NOT TO GIVE UP…IT’S OVER!!!. Rey passes out!. Hook and Taz have won this match in a very emotional last moment. Rey has put over both Rex and HOOK in the last month. Hook and Taz celebrate their victory walking up the ramp way as all of a sudden Taz grabs the title from Hook and points at the Grand Slam sign and walks away with the title…what does this mean…maybe he still hasn’t proven himself yet?. Back in the ring Dominick is not happy at all with his father as Rey apologises once again but wait what is this oh my god…Dominick attacks his father!. He starts beating him up…what the fuck is this…the fans are going crazy right now booing BAAAM 619!. This is a side of Dominick we’ve never seen before. He stands over his father’s body as we cut away.

No Holds Barred Matchup - Rematch From Supersplash XI
    Danhausen Vs Orange Cassidy

It’s time for our next match of the evening. Both men come out getting a pretty solid reaction from the crowd. Woaaah look at this at ringside!. Danhausen walks past none other than John Cena!. I guess he’s sitting in the crowd tonight watching the show as a fan. Danhausen seems impressed and gives Cena a cursed shirt!. DIVE BY CASSIDY THROUGH THE ROPES. Here we go!. Back and forth from both men. Not really much of a match here and more comedy. Orange Punch, Orange Box for a 2 count!. Orange pulls lemons out of his pockets and throws them at Danhausen who matrixes but gets stuck mid matrix. Cassidy takes a bite out of a lemon to fire up like Popeye with spinach!. ORANGE LOOKS FOR HIS FINISHER…DAN REVERSES IT WITH A DDT. HE THEN THROWS A HANDFUL OF TEETH INTO THE EYES OF CASSIDY!. He empties the jar of teeth onto the mat and nails his finisher…1…2…3!. Danhausen gets the win. He celebrates the win after the match.

All of a sudden as Danhausen is leaving the ring oh no look at this. Maria is here!. Maria comes out sucking her thumb, with Mike Bennett on a dog leash. She walks down to the ring even scaring Dan away as he protects himself. She walks around the ring and starts shouting MEG MEG MEG. We now see that she’s also got the celebrity title around her waist and a uh…what…Meg toy from Family Guy haha!. She walks over to the announcers area and grabs a mic…MILA MILA MEG MEG MILA MARIA MILA GRANDSLAM!!!!. What the hell is going on!. Maria then breaks the Meg toy in half and storms off up the ramp way while Mike chases after her like a dog on his hands and knees!. I wonder what their sex life is like. What a strange way to end this season.

EAM Intergender Tag Team Championships Matchup
Matt Cardona & Chelsea Green (c) Vs Marty & Martina Moth

Big title match up next and this is going to be a real test for MJF’s tEAM. They want to keep all their titles until at least Grand Slam so if they lose them MJF is gonna be pissed. Back-and-forth match from both teams with some highflying, signature and finishing moves throughout. Lot of history between these two teams with wins and losses on both sides. Marty and Martina are much more popular here. If they do lose the titles then I wonder if MJF will kick them out of tEAM. GREEN WITH A RANA. MOTH DIVE TO CARDONA. A TOWER OF DOOM. DOUBLE SUPLEX ON EVERYONE. ZACK ATTACK…1…2…NO!. Fans are really getting into this one and we know a couple of members are not here tonight and others are busy so Green and Cardona are pretty much on their own. Cardona superkicks Martina!. What an asshole!. Two on one attack now. Marty fights back with a double lariat. Military pressing Green onto Cardona. Marty looks for his finisher but Green lowblows him. SPEAR BY MARTINA. SHE’S BACK. THIS PLACE IS ELECTRIC…BAAAM JAGERBOMB…COVER…1…YES…2…CARDONA BREAKS IT UP DAMN IT. Fans are booing…MARTINA GRABS MATT BY THE BALLS. JAGERBOMB TO CARDONA HAHA. MARTY IS ON THE TOP ROPE AND SO MARTINA GOES TO THE OTHER SIDE. HERE WE GO…YES COME ON!!…END THIS NIGHTMARE…..BAAAAAM DOUBLE MOTH DIVE TO GREEN AND CARDONA…COVER…..1……2…..3……!!!!!!!!! YES YES YES. THEY FUCKING DID IT!. Finally!. This feels like months in the making!. They’re going to Grandslam and the Cardona’s aren’t haha!. They celebrate by jumping into the crowd with Cena who joins in!. What a moment. Green and Cardona are screaming in the ring saying NOOO and complaining to the referee but they should be more worried about MJF!. On the entrance stage they hold their titles high and look at this…MICK FOLEY!. Mick comes out and raises the new champions arms. Foley getting revenge for all the shit they’ve put him through!. This feels like Grandslam!. We finally cut away.

We go to a music video hyping Mox vs Onita. We get promos from both men. We see highlights of different explosions over the decades and it ends with Mox biting a barbed wire bat saying that this might be his last ever match after the beating I’m going to give Onita and the things I am planning on doing to you. A big explosion destroys the video into pieces as we cut back to the ring for our next match.

    NWA World Womens Championship Matchup
    Bayley (c) Vs Thunder Rosa

Another title match up next. Lot of people not happy with this. Rosa won the battle royal to get this match. Rosa gets booed while Bayley also the same but doesn’t care of course. At first they start fake wrestling because they’re both heels but it soon becomes serious. Back and forth match from the both of them, signature and finishing moves attempted. Bayley to Bayley suplex for a 2. Ganso Bomb but it gets reversed with a rana. Rosa looks for her finisher But Rosa gets suddenly distracted as the titantron suddenly starts to flicker and music cranks the arena speakers and she releases her hold on Bayley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3HSuCxNloo .

Shaul drops the microphone with that statement, to a rendering of her father's old entrance song, as she leaves the ring....

Looks like Shaul vs Rosa at Grandslam. She’s had enough!. Will she do her father proud?.

    Pride Tag Team Championship Matchup
Heavy Machinery (c) Vs Hardy Boyz

Big match up here. Hardyz come out getting a solid reaction followed by Heavy. Of course Heavy won a Slammy and possibly last year. Back and forth action, high flying, signature and finishing moves. Swanton Bomb, Twist of Fate but still not enough. Tucker with a moonsault and Otis with a double caterpillar. THEY SET IT UP…TRACTOR AND TRAILER TO MATT…COVER…1…2…3…DONE!. They did it again and this really is incredible honestly. Nearly two years as champions. Heavy celebrate their win whilst Hardyz show respect to Heavy as we cut away backstage.

We get a surprising interview with none other than Super Dragon, what the fuck…is he actually gonna talk!?. As he’s about seemingly about to talk about his induction…Pentagon walks in and says something in all Spanish which we don’t understand apart from…MASK MASK GRANDSLAM!!!. Woaaaah a challenge has been laid down!. Pentagon vs Dragon and Grandslam!?. Penta walks away but not before the CERO MIEDO!.

    Ornate Prime Championship Matchup
    Special Guest Referee: MJF
    WALTER (c) Vs Triple C

What a main event this is but of course the world champion has to ruin it. Outcomes MJF dressed in referee gear and I guess this means he is going to be the referee tonight. I guess they didn’t really have a choice since he has the title. This could be dangerous for both men. Claudio comes out first getting an amazing reaction followed by WALTER with his usual big ovation. There’s no way that MJF is going to call this match evenly. He eventually calls for the bell and here we go!!!. BIG BOOT BY BOTH MEN, CHOP, HEADBUTT, LARIAT, ELBOW. OH THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD BUT MJF BREAKS THEM UP!. Why would you do that. Why does he have to ruin every main event. In a way it would be nice if Claudio could’ve been the main event of this GrandSlam after everything that he’s done recently but maybe next year. UPPERCUTS. LARIATS. Neither man going down after all of this. Out of nowhere Claudio with a Recoli bomb…MJF IS OUTSIDE HITTING ON A WOMAN!!!. What an asshole, regardless of this result I really hope we get to see this match again without MJF involved. Claudio looks for a swing but only for a few seconds as MJF calls it a highly illegal foreign move!. MJF once again leaves the ring and look at this. He sees Cena sitting at ringside and says hi John!. You enjoying my show. Cena just shakes his head at MJF in disgust. Telling him to get back in the ring as from behind Claudio is also doing the same thing.

WALTER WITH A DROPKICK. SPINNING LARIAT AND A WALTER BOMB…COVER…MJF ACTUALLY COUNTS…1…2……………….NO COME ON….MJF STOPS COUNTING. WALTER gets into the face of MJF as he tells WALTER not to touch him!. CLAUDIO WITH A SCHOOL BOY TURNED INTO A POWERBOMB WOW…1.2.NO!. Holy shit that was a fast count!. Claudio not happy about that either. Disrespectful. Claudio looks for the Neutraliser but WALTER reverses. THREE LARIATS. HEADBUTT OFF THE TOP ROPE…1……MJF WAVES IN CENA’S DIRECTION…2…CLAUDIO KICKS OUT!. MJF then gets Claudio in the corner to check sure he doesn’t have anything illegal on him!. He barely wears anything anyway. WAIT…LOOK AT THIS. RUNNING DOWN THE RAMP THAT’S STEVENS. NO. HE GETS INTO THE RING AND STARTS ATTACKING WALTER!!!. What is this bullshit. Claudio is telling MJF what’s happening but he’s obviously pretending not to know about it. WAIT. WHAT IS THIS!?. Eli Drake!?. Huh strange. He gets a pop from the crowd. He runs into the ring and takes out Stevens.

There’s just so many guys in the back that are sick of this shit. Drake and Stevens also have history in EAM and NWA. Remember at the Slobberknocker. Drake gets probably the best ovation he’s ever had as he chases Stevens out of the ring and up the entrance way haha!!. MJF turns around. Clearly confused. Claudio refuses to pin WALTER!. Yea good for you!. MJF is warning him or else he’ll get DQ’d!. Claudio slowly helps WALTER up checking on him before nailing an uppercut. WALTER fires up. BACK AND FORTH SLAPS, CHOPS, LARIATS AND UPPERCUTS. This is awesome chants from the crowd which annoys MJF as Cornette slowly creeps down to the ring. Even Cena gets involved in this by chanting along before MJF sees this and tells him to stop. WALTER whips Claudio into the same corner as MJF but he manages to stop himself from hitting WALTER…RUNNING DROPKICK FROM WALTER TO CLAUDIO BUT HE MOVES OUT THE WAY AND OH NO…WALTER DROPKICKS MJF!!!. Fans love this but what is gonna happen here!. WALTER goes after Claudio again as MJF stands up in pain and looks pissed. Fans chant you deserve it as his face becomes red. Cornette then tells him what happened and he now believes that it was WALTER!. MJF takes his shirt off, throws it at Cena then walks to the other side of the ring. He leans through the ropes and tells the announcer something!?. The announcer looks shocked by this and is almost refusing to do it. Cornette and MJF grab the announcer by his neck and forces him to announce it. Announce something. Back in the ring WALTER and Claudio are still uppercutting and chopping each other red raw. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…WALTER HAS BEEN DISQUALIFIED…YOUR NEW EAM ORNATE PRIME CHAMPION…TRIPLE C!. What the fuck!!!. He can’t do that!. We don’t do that shit here!. MJF grabs the Ornate Prime Title. Runs into the ring and BAAAM LAYS OUT CLAUDIO AND WALTER!.

Both MJF and Cornette join in on the beat down!. This is fucking bullshit. Claudio is the new champion which is great but what a horrible way for WALTER to lose his title that he’s held on for so long and defended for so long!. MJF is the referee though so I guess it’s his decision!. Fans boo this bullshit result and once again another show ends with MJF ruining it!. Please let this not happen at Grandslam two years in a fucking row!. MJF then wipes his ass on the Ornate title and throws it at Claudio. He flips off the fans…WAIT LOOK AT THIS. CENA!!!. HE’S CENANOUGH!. He jumps the barricade and goes after MJF and Cornette. MJF manages to escape around the ring as WALTER now chases him around it and up the ramp way!. Back in the ring Cornette is looking on at MJF and WALTER…BAAAAAM AA!!!. CENA LAYS OUT CORNETTE WITH AN AA HAHA!. WALTER chases MJF backstage while back in the ring Claudio looks for the swing on Cornette!. Yes!. BIG SWING…20…40…60 SECONDS!!!. Sending the fans home happy. Cena stands behind Claudio impressed by him and starts clapping. He then bends down, picks up the title and passes it to Claudio!. Cena urges him on to take it but he looks hesitant. You deserve it Claudio!. Cena then puts the title around Claudio’s waist and raises his arm!. What a moment. I bet nobody thought this would be the end of the Slammies this year. Cena then claps for him some more, leaves the ring to allow him to celebrate. Claudio holds the title high. Well it was a controversial win but we have a new champion. We want to thank you all so much for watching this season and we will see you at…GRAND FUCKING SLAM 17 MOTHERFUCKERS!. We get a highlight video of the year as we fade to black!…

Live from Hammerstein Ballroom, New York/USA

The show starts off with a Triple C promo in the ring. He carries his newly won Ornate Prime Championship offcourse, and talks about how grateful he is, but not really about how it went down. He apologize to WALTER, and says that if it wasn't for the fact that WALTER have a match for The EAM World Heavyeweight Championship at Grandslam, he would have given him a rematch, no doubt! But, to show everyone, WALTER included that he cherishes the fact that he is now a 2 time Ornate Prime Champion, he will give the ONE person who told him he actually deserved to hold it when he won it at Night of The Slammies, and that man would be none other than John Cena! The fans love this, and Claudio gets a big pop for being such a big man. Then music cranks the arena speakers, and it's no unknown theme song cranking the speakers... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aqv5TYQTFYM . The audience pops at this as well offcourse as Cena makes his way out on the stage. He poses on the stage and who would ever have thought this some years ago? John Cena in EAM Promotions. Not even the chairman, or maybe least of all the chairman would have believed it if you said so. Cena makes his way down the rampway as Claudio waits in the ring. Cena makes it into the ring where he walks up to Claudio, and he actually apologizes into Claudio microphone that he's really sorry, but he got so excited that he forgot to bring his own. Claudio hands over the microphone to John then and Cena cut's a short promo on how awesome a experience it's been so far, to be part of this thing called EAM Promotions. He gotta admit, he was an idiot who stayed with that other company for so long, because he know understand where the real wrestling, and the real fans are. He gets a big pop from this offcourse, then he talks about how humbled he is, and how grateful he is, to even at the age is now, to be able to experience it before he officially retires. But, when things like this happens, Cena can't really imagine retirement, at least not yet. Because this journey is far from over. As a matter of fact, it's just started. And as you all probably know from before, John Cena is not the man, not to grab the opportunity when it comes at him! He turns to Claudio then, telling Claudio how impressed he is of his work, and once again, he wants to congratulate him on becoming a two time Ornate Prime Champion. And, speaking about The Ornate Prime Championship. Cena would offcourse be honored to wrestle Claudio for that title at Grandslam! WOW! The audience loves it, and Claudio smiles. This is pretty huge! I guess it's official then? Triple C will be defending his newly won Ornate Prime Championship, against none other than John Cena! We cut to the Jamboree vignette...

    Singles Matchup
    Kota Ibushi Vs Matthew Riddle

We go backstage, where Alicia Atout hooks up with Orange Cassidy, who's in a pretty bad mood. Alicia asks him what's bothering him, but offcourse as we all know, Cassidy almost never talk. He just shakes his head in disbelief of Alicia's stupid question and sighs...but, he actually answers her. He says he will make it simple, for her, and for everyone else out there, especially Danhausen. There is no such thing as curses. Cassidy's bad results as of late comes from other factors, but especially not some bogus hocus pocus hex or curse that some lunatic fringe thinks he put upon me! He knows for a fact that he never beat Danhausen does not have anything to do with any curse, and he is willing to prove it! He's actually willing to propose for Danhausen a third match, just to prove his point. And to do just that, he is even willing to give Danhausen the opportunity to pick the time, the place, the stipulation, anything! Three times is not a charm Danhausen. And charms are just what you need to protect yourself from your own curse!

    Singles Matchup
    Wardlow Vs Chad Gable

We get a promo package next, showing EAM's co-work with Japanese wrestling promotion, not just as of late, but historicly, as EAM has had quite a few PPV's in Japan over the years. 7 tio be fact, but not before now, they will be able to experience the extravagana that is Grandslam. We get some highlights of past PPV and matches in a sort of collague, then we see a clip from general manager Randy Orton, as he talks about EAM promoting themselves in Japan, and how well they are recieved over there. It will no doubt be a awesome experience to host EAM Promotions biggest show of the year from Tokyo Japan. We then get some more flashbacks, showing even some more interaction between Japanese wrestling and EAM, as we see the commotion between Hiroshi Tanahashi and Shawn Michaels, then we cut to a taped promo by Tanahashi, where he actually challenge Shawn Michaels to a match at the show of shows. Can Mr. Grandslam turn down such a challenge and opportunity? Tanahashi Vs Michaels is a dream match in many wrestling fans eyes, and it's been talked about for years. But nobody actually thought it would happen. It's all up to Shawn at this point. But Tanahashi has a point. Can he turn down something like that, knowing how the fans would react? Time will tell....

We cut back to the arena and the ring then, and The Pride Tag Team Champion; Heavy Machinery are about to cut a promo. They are having the list with them tonight as well, so I guess we will finally get to know who's the number one tag team on their bucket list, and most probably, we are in a few minutes going to know who will be Heavy Machinery's opponents for Grandslam 17! And whatever happens at Grandslam, if Heavy retains or if they actually finally are defeated, both Otis and Tucker agree that this has been one hell of a journey, and they challenge any tag team in the world to try and replicate their accomplishments. And as far as they are concerned, they are not done yet! The crowd loves the sound of that offcourse. As we know, Heavy Machinery has made themselves one of the most beloved tag teams in the whole industry. From a underdog jobber tag team, to almost Legend-status in just a couple of years. No doubt, their achievements are probably impossible to duplicate. But now, the time everyone has been waiting for, Otis and Tucker promise they wont stall it any longer. And, it's probably no mystery or big surprise to the oldskool EAM fan either, which team who's on spot number one on their list. But, in case you haven't figured it out yet, the last team on Heavy Machinery's list, and the very tag team they want to defend The Pride Tag Team Championships against at Grandslam, maybe for the last time, are....... KENTA & Kenta! The audience explodes! WOW! Brian and Nigel have problem communicating with the TV audience, as the fans in attendance are so loud. This is big for sure! No doubt, two of the biggest tag teams in EAM history are gonna clash together at Grandslam!

    Single Matchup (Non-Title)
    Aaron Stevens Vs Eli Drake

As we get back from commercial break we get a promo. We find ourselves in some place dark and dampy. It looks like a boiler room or something similar. On the concrete floor sits a man. He is dressed in black and red checker squared flannel shirt, and on his face he's wearing a brown leather mask. Eerie music can be heard in the background. Some kind of childrens song, played on a piano. The person on the floor talks then, talks about forlorn times. Times when thing meant something. Times when things was accomplished! And God can sign up on the fact that he's done it all. There is nothing left for him in this business to do....except for one small minor little nitpick of a thing. That thing goes around, proclaiming to the world that he is the REAL King of The Deathmatch! I got one question for you son! How can you be the king when you never ever faced me? In the immortal words of " The Nature Boy" Ric Flair; " To be the Man, you gotta beat the Man! " Foley stands up then, and picks up something from the floor as he rises. He waves a barbwired baseball bat in front of the camera then and screams; " Nick Gage! You fucking piece of shit! I'll give you one chance to put some bang in your buck and prove yourself! But you will only get this one chance I can tell you! Because if you are brave enough, or stupid enough, or both, to take me up on this. One of us will not leave that ring alive!

    Tag Team Matchup
Jeff Cobb & Will Hobbs Vs The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander)

We get a promotional video with a bunch of guys dressed in black cloaks. They find themselves in a gloomly lit room, all of them sitting around a circled table, with no spesific person seemongly being the leader. And that seems to be the agenda of the day. One of the members around the table explains that this has to be determined once and for all, as this puts everyone in a awkward position and does not serve as anything positive or progressive when it comes to the future. Action needs to be taken before this sillyness damages the brotherhood even further. Everyone around the table mumbles in agreement, slowly nodding their heads. But how? Someone asks. There is silence for some seconds then, before someone puts a piece of paper on the table with some writings on it, then the person says that his proposal is to determine it like it should be determined in this business. Inside the squared circle. Everyone mumbles in agreement once again, as the piece of paper goes from hand to hand around the table, as everyone examines it. When it has made it's trip around the table and is again back in the hand of the person who put out the proposal, he asks everyone around the table if it's determined then? Yet again he get mumbling agreement from the others, so he puts out his hand, holding it just above the middle of the table. All the others join him, and seals the agreement.... We then cut back to the arena for our main event of the evening...

As our main event is about to begin, we go to the gorilla position, where something is happening. There is a big argument between the current EAM Tag Team Champions; Rey Fenix & Will Ospreay, and The Young Bucks, seemingly because they are not the one competing for the titles tonight. Rey and Will try to calm things down, trying to explain that they are not the ones who book these matches, but Nick and Matt wont listen to it. They argument continues even as Rey and Will's music cranks the arena speakers, as it's their time to enter the stage for their match which is tonights main event. In the irony of destiny, those who actually manage to break up the argument and get and end to this and showing some professionalism, are not who you would expect it to be, but it's none other than Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. They go between the boys, telling them both that this is not the time or place. They can continue this later, somewhere else. As much as Nick and Matt actually disagrees with Billie and Peyton, they leave. Rey and Will's music are still cranking the arena speakers, and Brian and Nigel are starting to wondering where the champions are at this point. So are the fans in attendance. Rey and Will tell Billie and Peyton thanx, but Billie and Peyton say they can thank them later, now, they got a couple of titles to defend, and their fans are waiting for them. Fenix and Will smiles and Billie and Peyton smiles back before Rey and Will leaves for the stage. Why has The IIconics started to be so nice as of late? What could be their agenda? We cut to the arena then, as our main event, finally, soon can be under way...

    EAM Tag Team Titles Matchup
Rey Fenix & Will Ospreay (c) Vs Keith Lee & Donovan Dijakovic

As the show is about to end, we cut to the street's outside The Hammerstein Ballroom where we hook up with Danhausen. He's walking out of the arena with a bunch of what looks like big paper rolls under his arm. He's also carrying a bucket and a long brush of some kind. What is he up to? He puts it all down before he puts the brush into the bucket then he smears it out over the wall beside the main entrance to the Hammerstein. He then unrolls one of those big paper rolls and sticks it onto the wall. Then, going over it with some kind of tool to get out all the air bubbles it seems. After a short while he seems satisfied and picks up his stuff again as he sighs to himself, then mumbles " I'll show him a thing or two about curses. Oh yes! Very nice and very evil....very real " he leavs then, letting us finally see what he put up on the wall. It's a big vintage vaudevillain/circus-esque poster and it proclaims with big colorful letters " Come and see The Carnival of Souls! Only at Grandslam 17 in Mexico City/Mexico. Your host for the night; Danhausen..... Other than that, a some sort of rollercoaster and other amusement park stuff are depicted on the poster. But one thing or sure sticks out... There is no people in that amusement park. Except for one... On the very top of the roller coaster, in one of the carriages, sits a very pale, very afraid, and very alone Orange Cassidy.....

Awesome build up of John Cena and Claudio should be another great match and putting the title on the line makes sense it isn’t needed but adds more to it. Also putting over Walter it makes him look good.

    Singles Matchup
    Kota Ibushi Vs Matthew Riddle

Riddle gets the win in this match after some strong style kicks and an RKO for some reason. Ibushi gets some moves in but it’s not enough. After the match he looks disappointed and there’s really not much else for him to do and it looks like he’s not even going to be competing at Grand Slam Japan.

And to do just that, he is even willing to give Danhausen the opportunity to pick the time, the place, the stipulation, anything! Three times is not a charm Danhausen. And charms are just what you need to protect yourself from your own curse!

Looks like another match but this time with a gimmick between these two men. Maybe they’ll end up as a tag team when all is said and done.

    Singles Matchup
    Wardlow Vs Chad Gable

Gable looks pretty good getting in his typical submission and technical moves of course it’s just not enough for Wardlow who gets the win following Wardlow’s world.

We get a promo package next, showing EAM's co-work with Japanese wrestling promotion, not just as of late, but historicly, as EAM has had quite a few PPV's in Japan over the years. 7 tio be fact, but not before now, they will be able to experience the extravagana that is Grandslam.

Good build to this dream match and it could be the match of the show possibly year.

No doubt, two of the biggest tag teams in EAM history are gonna clash together at Grandslam!

Yeah make sense had a feeling it would be them. Makes sense as well since it’s Japan. Perfectly worked out actually since they both held the titles for so long.

    Single Matchup (Non-Title)
    Aaron Stevens Vs Eli Drake

Okay match at first but Stevens refuses to wrestle and leaves. They fight around the ring for some time before officials break them apart. Sorry folks and fans at home it looks like we’re not going to get this match tonight.

Gage vs Foley wasn’t expecting that. Makes sense. Not a big fan of either right now but maybe they will kill each other so it could be fun. Needs a gimmick though. Thought he was gonna fight Flair at first. Maybe a Barbwire bat on a pole match

    Tag Team Matchup
Jeff Cobb & Will Hobbs Vs The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander)

Will and Jeff get the win after a pretty solid match the North look okay as well but it’s just not enough for them. Tour of the Islands for the 3. Oklahoma stampede as well from Hobbs.

Yet again he get mumbling agreement from the others, so he puts out his hand, holding it just above the middle of the table. All the others join him, and seals the agreement.... We then cut back to the arena for our main event of the evening...

No idea what this could be about. There’s always a lot of mystery in this company so who knows what it is.

As our main event is about to begin, we go to the gorilla position, where something is happening. There is a big argument between the current EAM Tag Team Champions; Rey Fenix & Will Ospreay, and The Young Bucks, seemingly because they are not the one competing for the titles tonight. We cut to the arena then, as our main event, finally, soon can be under way...

Good build to the big match at Grand Slam. Should definitely be a unique and different match. Hard to build this match of course.

    EAM Tag Team Titles Matchup
Rey Fenix & Will Ospreay (c) Vs Keith Lee & Donovan Dijakovic

Big match here back-and-forth action from everyone involved a lot of highflying signature in finishing moves they get close but it’s just not enough for the win Rey with a 630 and Will with an Essex destroyer for the three count.

Pretty unique and different way to end the show I guess it makes sense if he is the host almost seems like a possible amusement park match that would be interesting to see and watch. Thought Cassidy was on top of the Hammerstein Ballroom for a second.

Episode #61 - Live from The Grand Ballroom/New York

Show opens with a promo from Thunder Rosa, responding to what Shaul Guerrero did to her during the title match with Bayley at Night of The Slammies. She almost can't control herself, mixing english and spanish as she talks. The word puta comes up more than once. She also assures Shaul that she just signed her own death wish, but she's actually grateful for what Shaul did, because now Thunder Rosa got an excuse to destroy Shaul once and for all. It must be sad, to be the only Guerrero who never made it past the first match of her career. But Rosa guess that's some kind of historical feat as well. To be the only one to debut and retire at same night, not to mention at the grandest stage of them all.... We cut to the Spotlight vignette....

    Singles Matchup
    Raquel González Vs Penelope Ford

We get a promo from Sasha Banks next, she's in her locker room, and in front of her on the table she's got a very huge present, with ribbon and all. She talks about the incident backstage, and how sad she was that she was not able to cut off that stupid braid! Sasha's hair is covered by a EAM beanie at the moment, because as we all know, Bianca switched Sasha's hair coloring. It was meant as a prank, but Sasha definitely did not take it that way. She then tell everyone that she will be better equipped the next time around, as she just recieved this little gift, from a very special someone. She opens the lid of the present and pulls out a pair of shears. But as she informs everyone, it's not just a couple of usual shears, oh no, it's not Sasha can assure everyone. Because these very scissors, was gifted to her by none other than Brutus " The Barber " Beefcake! She does clipping gestures with the shears as she laughs like a maniac....

    Singles Matchup
    Jamie Hayter Vs Toni Storm

We get a video next where we see Mila Kunis doing a interview, regarding the upcoming movie that EAM Promotions are releasing, where she plays the lead role. The interview gets interrupted however, as none other than Maria Kanellis hogs the limelight, explaining to the interviewer how this movie is all based on her and her career, and wonder then why they got this Ukrainian skank to play a girl from Illinois. It's just so bad! Mila has had enough of Maria's antics and attitude at this point, and sends a vicious bitch slap to Maria's right cheek. This results in a big cat fight on the middle of the red carpet, and they even tear each other clothes off. Security manage to seperate then fairly quickly, and that is a good thing, but this will be in the newspaper headlines tomorrow for sure...

We cut back to the arena then where Charlotte Flair's music cranks the arena speakers, and The Primetime Bitch Champion walks out on the stage. As she makes her way don the rampway to massive booo's from the audience, the viewers at home gets a small video package, showing what Charlotte has accomplished during her career already, and despite that she's still not a big favorite amongst the EAM fans. But her accomplishments, nobody can take away from her. We cut back to the arena then where Charlotte has reached the ring and enters it. She poses in the middle of the ring in the vintage Flair robe, with The EAM Primetime Bitch Championship around her waist. Someone in the ring crew hands her a microphone as her music fades out and the music are exchanged by murmurs and booo's from the audience. She just smiles, because the marks in audience truly does not know greatness even when they are staring at it. She then goes on talking about the upcoming Grandslam event and who's she's possibly going to face. But well, it doesn't really matter does it? Music cranks the speakers then, and former Primetime Bitch Champion and EAM Center of Attention Champion; Alexa Blissa makes her way out on the stage. Then music cranks the speaker again, and former EAM Womens Tag Team Champion; Jade Cargill makes her way out on the stage. She's been doing pretty good as a singles competitor as of late, and she truly deserves a shot, as she's never contested for a singles title since she signed with EAM. But it doesn't stop there, as music cranks the speakers yet again, and this time, it's newcomer Nikkita Lyons who walks out on the stage. She's got no past feats to show to, but she's surely shown some potential since her debut, and she's become a huge fan favorite in a vert short time. No doubt all these three women deserves a shot at Charlotte's title. But then music cranks the speakers once again. This time, it's the music of Spotlight GM Quinn McKay however, and she makes her way out on the stage with the other girls. She informs everyone that last time she checked, she was the one to call the shots around here, and until further notice, that's what Quinn is determined to do. She gotta admit though, that all girls, except for Charlotte that is, got some pretty good reactions from the fans. The fans confirms this with giving a big cheer. Quinn then explains to Charlotte that she will be able to back up her claims of being the best, as she will be defending that championship at Grandslam, that's for sure. But, since all of the three girls that seems interesting in facing you got so equally reactions, Quinn thinks she should give all of them the opportunity. Not only because it's fair, but because it seems like that's what the audiece wants to see. The crowd gives yet another confirmation with some loud cheers. So that settles it then, at Grandslam 17, Charlotte will be defending The Primetime Bitch Championship against; Alexa Bliss, Jade Cargill and Nikkita Lyons, in a Fatal 4-Way! The audience loves it, but that's not the case when it comes to Charlotte, who feels violated by the Spotlight GM. But, as Quinn just said a moment ago, even though Charlotte is a Champion in EAM, she is not the General Manager. Quinn McKay is. And judging on the fact that the chairman himself granted Quinn a match at Grandslam if she wanted one, as a gest of showing how impressed and satisfied with her work, it doesn't seem like her job is in peril anytime soon either. The three girls who's all now #1 Contenders look at each other on the stage, while Charlotte is furious, shaking her head in disbelief in the ring as we cut to commercials....

    2-On-1 Handicap Matchup
Natalia Markova & Masha Slamovich Vs Ronda Rousey

We get a video package next, showing us the journeys of both Bayley and Deonna Purrazzo, and their climb to the top of the business, just in different promotions. Then they met, and Bayley took Deonna's Impact Knockouts Championship, by beating her at Wrass Bash XI. But Deonna did not let that put her down, and she captured not only The AAA Reina de Reinas Championship from Faby Apache, but she did also beat Rok-C for The ROH Women's World Championship. Bayley did not rest after her win either, as she went on, beating Kamille for The NWA World Women's Championship. Then we get a promo from Bayley, talking about how similar they paths has been, and how everything actually changed for both of them the first time they med inside the squared circle. Bayley admits she's got nothing else than respect and admiration for Deonna. Actually, if the circumstances where different, Bayley is pretty sure they could have been best friends. Bayley likes Deonna's arrogance and attitude, because you don't get anywhere in this business without it. But, when that is said, with respect, admiration and a potential friendship set aside, Deonna got something Bayley wants, and Bayley is willing to do what it takes to get it! Bayley is offering Deonna a chance to not only win back her Impact Knockouts Championship, but also win The NWA World Women's Championship in the process. The only thing Bayley wants Deonna to do, is the same Bayley is willing to do. Put both her titles on the line! It's an opportunity no sane person would refuse. The math is pretty simple Deonna. If you accept, you either walk out of Arena Mexico with four titles. Or you walk out of it with none! It's all up to you Deonna, if you want to be a part of history or not... We then cut back to the arena for our main event for the night....

Good build up to the Thunder and Guerrero match.

    Singles Matchup
    Raquel González Vs Penelope Ford

Gonzalez gets the win after a big double arm chicken wing power bomb facebuster. Ford gets a few moves in but of course it’s just not enough for the victory. Gonzalez is also another one to keep an eye on in the next season.

Pretty funny actually an idea that I had in mind for Grand Slam. Little bit strange that he would help Sasha if she is more of a heel but it works regardless.

    Singles Matchup
    Jamie Hayter Vs Toni Storm

Pretty solid and entertaining match from both women. Signature and finishing moves throughout. Jamie has really looked incredible in the past few weeks and she’s definitely going to be someone to keep an eye on in the next season. Hayter gets the win after a Hayter bomb. She celebrates her win after the match but I doubt she’s going to have a match at Grand Slam maybe next year.

Good idea promoting the movie and building the feud on the red carpet.

Awesome finally some proper build for this match new girls and old could be very under appreciated and overlooked.

    2-On-1 Handicap Matchup
Natalia Markova & Masha Slamovich Vs Ronda Rousey

Nice idea here having her go up against two opponents instead of one making her look tough preparing for her possible match against Mickie James if it even happens after the injury. Could even be a submission match but I guess it’s not needed. The Olympic slam and a double arm bar gets the win. After the match she calls her out.

We get a video package next, showing us the journeys of both Bayley and Deonna Purrazzo, and their climb to the top of the business, just in different promotions. Then they met, and Bayley took Deonna's Impact Knockouts Championship, by beating her at Wrass Bash XI. We then cut back to the arena for our main event for the night....

Awesome build and this might be the most titles on the line in one match in history at least in EAM or a women’s match.

EAM Womens Tag Team Championships Matchup
Samoan Scotch (Jax & Piper) (c) Vs Shotzi Blackhart & Kiera Hogan

Pretty solid main event. The typical back-and-forth action the signature and finishing moves some attempted moves also both sides and teams look pretty good but it is of course at the end Samoan Scotch gets the win.

Live from Hammerstein Ballroom, New York/USA

Show starts with a video package promoting Grandslam 17, and the already confirmed matches at this point. We also get a Grandslam historical video package, showing us how the event transformed over the years, becoming the pinnacle of the pro wrestling business! We see Chairman Emil A. who talks about how he always wanted each and every Grandslam to have it's own thing, so each and every Grandslam event would stand out in a way. Most notably, Grandslam 10 was over 3 nights. Grandslam 7 and 11 was hosted in Canada, Grandslam 12 was live from London, and Grandslam 16 was from Emil A's home country of Norway. So, what should he do to make Grandslam 17 special in it's own way? Then he explains about the poll, and how the fans could vote on where the next Grandslam should be from, but inn the end, it was a dead-race between Japan and Mexico, so he figured, what the hell, why not have a show in both countries, at the same day?! As we all know, EAM Promotions has been promoting the event in Japan for months already, as general manager Randy Orton amongst others are already over there to make everything ready for the big event...The camera then cuts the picture of some sort of cage like structure, and then a clock appears on the screen. It counts down, slowly from 10 to 1. And when it hits 10, it explodes and out of the explosion appears The Grandslam 17 logo. We then cut to the Jamboree vignette....

The audience in attentance is buzzing tonight, and it might not be so weird, after all, we are only two weeks away from EAM's biggest happening of the year! Brian and Nigel talks about the fact that they have to split during the event unfortunately, as one of them has to cover the event in Japan, and the other has to cover the event in Mexico. Brian comments on it then, telling Nigel that they really should get one or maybe two co-host commentators. Where did Callis and Rogan go anyway? Nigel then explains, not only to Brian but to the viewers at home, that Callis and Rogan will be the commentators for EAM's new project; " Pro Renegade Athletes " which will have their first event during Grandslam weekend! We then get a small video package promoting the upcoming event, showing us the card for this first and historical event, which will be a MMA-based promotion under the EAM Promotions umbrella. Their first show will be named " Uproar & Uprising " and is scheduled to have five matches, which are; El Diablo Vs DeJon Edmund " FairPlay " Farrell-Francis (Both known from StreetBeefs, but they actually never met in the ring), Chris Barnett Vs Ben Rothwell (Both known from UFC), Christopher Wayne " Mighty Mouse " Yarborough Vs Chris "Scarface" Wilmore (The StreetBeefs founder Vs The biggest Legend in StreetBeefs history, and there sure is some bad blood between these men), Logan Paul Vs Jake Paul (These two men need no introduction), and the main event of the event....drumroll......Mike Tyson Vs Evander Holyfield 3! (In a Boxing Match, not a MMA match offcourse) EAM Promotions are just as excited as you are. Don't miss this historical event! We then cut back to the arena again and the conversation between Brian and Nigel, who know knows where Callis and Rogan are. He still insist they should have co-commentators though. The bell then rings for our first match of the evening, and Melissa, beautiful as always, is ready in the ring to announce the competetors...

    Tag Team Matchup
reDragon (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) Vs The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander)

We go backstage next, where we hook up with Taz and his soon Hook backstage in their locker room. Taz tell Hook to sit down, as he's got something important to tell him. Hook does so, and Taz put a hand on Hook's shoulder. He then tells Hook how proud he is of him, he does not know if he ever said it before, but Taz believes Hook can be the next big thing in pro wrestling. But, there is no small feat to be the next top draw, you gotta want it, and you gotta work for it. It's not going to be handed to you on a silver plate. And to Taz, Hook still has not really shown that he has what it takes... This furiates Hook, and he stands up, yelling at his father, but within an inch of a second, Hook finds himself locked in The Kata-Ha-Jime! Taz is thightening the grip while asking Hook as calmy as possible, to tell him what Hook as done so far in his career that Taz should concider worthwhile anything to applaude?! Hook's face is turning red, he's suffocating at this point, but Taz wants to prove a point and does not let go. Taz once again in a calm voice says he's awaiting an answer. Hook's turning blue at this point, and Taz finally decides he's had enough. Hook falls down on the floor, gasping for breath, holding his throath. Taz looks at him, then in a firm voice tell his son, that if he want to prove himself, and get some kind of confirmation that his career wont end up like every jobber on Monday night RAW, he can start by trying to take on his old man. If you can't beat a man who's almost sixty, you have nothing to do in this business young man!

    Singles Matchup
    Tony Deppen Vs Matthew Riddle

As we get back from commercials we cut to the backstage where we find ourselves in the locker room of The Steiners. Something is a foot however, because there is a big discussion going on between the three, somewhat of a heated discussion at that. But it seems it has something to do with Rex and the upcoming Grandslam event. Scott and Rick are going eye to eye at this point, screaming at each other. Then they both snap, starting with throwing punches at each other, then going around the room, throwing and ramming stuff at each other. Rex tries to avoid the biggest wreckage, as this is really not his war, but he's starting to get real tired of his father and uncle's constant bickering. He decides to end it. Because nobody is gonna decide his future for him, except for himself. He grabs one of the wall mirrors in the locker room and teares it off the wall, then to get both his father and uncle's attention, he smashes the mirror over both their heads. Shards shatter and scatters all over the locker room floor. No kidding he got their attention. He explains to both of them that he really doesn't need any of their advices, tips, tricks or whatnot. He needs to figure this out himself, just like they did back in the days. And if they aint gonna step back, Rex just have to do it for them! He then lays out a challenge to his uncle Scott, and tell him if he really want to teach him something, he's got the chance to prove if he's really got anything to teach Rex. And, when it comes to his father, he does not want him in his corner either, because he does not need his advice on how to beat a grumpy old man like his uncle. He can accompiny him instead if he like, because he sure will need some advice on how to keep alive, not dying of a heart attack before the match ends. Scott gets furious by this and goes at Rex, but Rick holds him back. Rex leaves then, mumbling something to himself about having better things to do, like chicks for example... We cut back to the arena for our next match then...

    Tag Team Matchup
Street Profits Vs The Young Bucks

We get a promo from Pentagon Jr. next, and he makes it pretty simple. Words has reached him, that Super Dragon is officially gonna retire after Grandslam 17. That means it will be the last time anyone has the chance of seeing Super Dragon inside the squared cirlce ever again. So! Pentagon cut's it straight down to the chase. He wants to challenge Super Dragon to a Mask Vs Mask match at Grandslam 17! Because he knows, that every wrestling fan out there would love to see who the infamous Super Dragon really are, and he understand that he needs to put up with similar stakes. But Pentagon is willing to do just that. Because he's not hiding behind a mask because he's afraid. Zero Miedo!

    3-On-3 Tag Team Matchup
Timothy Thatcher, Angelico & Chad Gable Vs Wardlow, Drew McIntyre & Bobby Lashley

We get a promo from Mil Muerte's manager James Mitchell next, also known as The Sinister Minister. He refers to a interview that Paul Heyman did, where Heyman said he was the greatest manager in the business, managing the greatest superstars in the business offcourse. This comment has really ticked Mitchell off, and he does not approve of Paul Heyman's statements. In fact, he never did. To show everyone how wrong Ol' dear Paulie can be however, Mitchell is challenging Heyman to a Debate next week on Jamboree. And the topic for the debate? " If Paul Heyman is the greatest manager ever, and he manages the greatest superstars, why aint he or Brock scheduled for the upcoming Grandslam show? " Hahahahahaha!!!! We cut back to the arena for our main event then...

Back in the arena The New Intergender Tag Team Champions Marty & Martina are making their way into the ring to defend their newly won titles. But against who? Marty and Martina makes themselves ready in the ring as music cranks the arena speakers. At first the audience in attentance does not make much sound, as the entrance music is rather unfamiliar, but when they recognize who the two persons walking out on the stage is, they get a fairly big pop from the crowd. Cody and Brandi makes their way down the ramp, taking it all in. As we know Cody and Brandi are actually former EAM Intergender Tag Team Champions, and when they won the titles, they took them from none other than Emil A. and Mickie James! That's quite a feat, and now they are seemingly back for a second reign with the titles so it seems. Marty and Martina in the ring are not really impressed however, but are no doubt ready to kick so ass regardless...

EAM Intergender Tag Team Championships Matchup
Marty & Martina Moth (c) Vs Cody & Brandi Rhodes

After the match, Marty and Martina once take it to the microphone, mocking Cody and Brandi, asking them rhetorically if that was the return they had expected it to be? They laugh, as Cody and Brandi removes themselves from the ring with their tails between their legs. This was obviously not the return they had foreseen. Marty and Martina celebrates their victory as Cody and Brandi makes their way up the rampway. But then....the titantron starts to flicker, and then, showing almost what seems like a endless field of emerald green shamrocks...then music cranks the arena speakers... And this time, the audience in attendance recognize the song imidiatly. They explode in a big pop as Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch makes their way out on the stage. People in the audience actually stand up and appluade them. Welcome back chants are also heard. This gotta rub some salt in Cody and Brandi's wounds no doubt. Not to speak the fact that they have to pass Seth and Becky on their way back to the locker rooms. They have gotten Marty and Martina's attention offcourse, as they've got the attention of everyone else in the arena. They both point to the Grandslam 17 logo up in the arena, and gets another big pop from the audience. It seems as they are challenging Marty and Martina for a match at Grandslam! And to be fair, it seems as Marty and Martina approves, as they smile at each other before putting the titles high up in the air to make a statement. The show ends with Cody and Brand finally making their ways up to the stage, where Seth and Becky just shakes their head in a mocking gesture towards them....

Awesome building and things are getting more exciting. Hopefully it’s not the worst Grand Slam ever that would be embarrassing and hopefully the backstage people don’t leave halfway through the show for a few months for whatever reason…that would be weird. Awesome countdown to the logo.

Awesome build up and I think this is one of the first times this new company brand promotion has been mentioned. A good idea to have MMA and boxing matches and possibly other disciplines such as arm wrestling and slap contests. All depends on what’s happening in the world at the time the shows take place so we can get all kinds of different matches. This can be and could be the place where they end their beef and rivalries.

    Tag Team Matchup
reDragon (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) Vs The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander)

The North get the win in this match. They’ve had a back and forth victory and loss streak for a while now so this will help. Dragon with another loss but they are getting very boring and outdated now.

Another father vs son match for the FTW title. Hook still hasn’t impressed Taz and until he finally beats him then he may never get that respect.

    Singles Matchup
    Tony Deppen Vs Matthew Riddle

Riddle gets the win after his typical MMA moves and an RKO. Tony gets a few spots in but it’s just not enough for the victory. You’ve got to wonder where Riddle is gonna go from here.

As we get back from commercials we cut to the backstage where we find ourselves in the locker room of The Steiners. Something is a foot however, because there is a big discussion going on between the three, somewhat of a heated discussion at that. Nice build to yet another match it looks like. Always interesting to see how the builds will be done. Another family related match this might be the most personal Grand Slam ever.

Solid 10 minutes match from both sides. Super kicks, more bang for your buck but it’s still not enough for the win but way what is this. Fenix and Will come down to the ring and just like that it causes a distraction. MONTEZ WITH A HIGH FLY FROGSPLASH TO NICK…COVER 1 2 3!!. Hahaha awesome what a shock here. This just shows you that anything can happen in this company. Huge win for the Profits and if Bucks do win the titles then surely they’ll be the first in line.

Zero Miedo!

A classic match and stipulation for the Mexican Grand Slam should be interesting. Retirement match as well. Doesn’t always have to be in a career match can just be an announcement beforehand. Could retire with the mask though.

    3-On-3 Tag Team Matchup
Timothy Thatcher, Angelico & Chad Gable Vs Wardlow, Drew McIntyre & Bobby Lashley

Clusterfuck of a match here. Back-and-forth action signature, finishing moves and double teaming also. At the end of the match it is a triple pin after a Claymore, a Wardlow Bomb and a Dominator.

Even more build to another match. Could be a good debate. Thought for a second it was going to be a mixed tag match that’s an idea. Or even a ring of fire/Inferno match. Or possibly a double shark cage above the ring.

Marty and Martina in the ring are not really impressed however, but are no doubt ready to kick some ass regardless...

EAM Intergender Tag Team Championships Matchup
Marty & Martina Moth (c) Vs Cody & Brandi Rhodes

Well big surprise here for sure. Strange it just came out of nowhere. Don’t want Brandi wrestling though. I want Cody as a singles star and Brandi as his manager or maybe even not on TV. This feels just like the same old Cody and Brandi from when they left. Needs a rebrand. Cody always put over a lot of people. Pretty solid match a back-and-forth contest filled with signature and finishing moves. Cody looks the best and almost gets the pin on Marty but it is his wife that lets him down as she gets pinned after a Jagerbomb by Martina.

And to be fair, it seems as if Marty and Martina approves, as they smile at each other before putting the titles high up in the air to make a statement. The show ends with Cody and Brandi finally making their ways up to the stage, where Seth and Becky just shakes their head in a mocking gesture towards them...

A lot happening here and it makes sense. Not a big fan of how Cody has been treated though. There seems to be some confusion about who is face and heel because that was very heelish from Marty and Martina. Unless it was done in a face way. Seems to be teasing a match between Seth, Cody, Becky and Brandi down the line. I think that match would be a bigger one for Grandslam. Maybe even a triple threat. This makes sense but Cody will get revenge!. Also awesome that they are back Cody and him have some history so it could work that way.

Episode #62 - Live from The Grand Ballroom/New York

Show opens backstage and we find ourselves in a place we don't see that often, inside general manager Quinn McKay's office. She's alone, sitting behind her desk, nipping on a glass of white wine as she skims the latest news going on in the wrestling business. There is much about the upcoming Grandslam event offcourse, and she smiles to herself, as she knows how awesome that event is going to be. She knows all the girls on the roster who's been so lucky to get a spot on any of those cards will perform their utter most. She puts down her glass of wine then. She looks thoughtful for a second, then she picks up her phone and dials a number. Some seconds go by, but then seemingly someone in the other end has replied to her call, because the only thing Quinn says are " I've thought about what you said. And I want to do it! " We cut to the Spotlight vignette....

Beth and Jillian welcomes is to another episode of Spotlight, one of two Spotlight episodes left before Grandslam 17! Beth and Jillian are pretty excited offcourse, talking about the womens matches that's scheduled so far for the event, and that probably more will be added during these two weeks before the big event. It's truly interesting what Deonna's response to Bayley are, if she's gonna respond at all, not to mention the uncleared situation with Mickie and a potential title defence against Ronda, since we don't really know if Mickie will be cleared to compete for the event yet. And for another matter, there is not been announced a Womens Tag Team Titles Match for the event either at this point. Guess we just have to wait and see what happens during these two weeks leading up to the big dance. In the meantime, we got a show for you tonight, so Jamie, take it away please!

    Singles Matchup
    Candice LeRae Vs Heather Monroe

We get a backstage segment where Piper and Jax bumps into IIconics, who seem to just come out of Jax and Piper's locker room door. Jax and Piper wonder what the hell they think they are doing, and Billie and Peyton try to act as innocent as they can, saying they haven't done anything. As a matter of fact, they just arrived. Jax and Piper warn them, that if they have done some type of shenanigans, they will beat them. They have done it before, and they will do it again. Don't give them a special reason to do so. Because they really don't need one! Billie and Peyton leaves the scene before something happens, letting Jax and Piper pass so they can enter their locker room. We cut back to the arena for our next match...

    Singles Matchup
    Skye Blue Vs Tessa Blanchard

We get a promo from Bianca Belair next, responding to Sasha and how despicable she thinks not only her actions are, but also Sasha as a person. No wonder she's got so few friends. And those who she calls friends, are probably just being friends for pity's sake. Because Sasha Banks is not at all the boss. She's bogus! As much as Bianca would have loved to competed for something more prestigious than keeping her hair, for example a championship. She's for sure gonna do the best out of the situation. As a matter of fact, she's gonna enjoy it. After all, championship match or not. It's Grandslam! We cut back to the arena and our next match then...

    Singles Matchup
    Raquel González Vs Kamille

We get a video package next, showing Mickie James' storied career. There is little doubt than the day she truly retire's from in-ring action in this business, she will leave behind a legacy that few or maybe none will be able to touch of replicate. She is truly one of a kind. Loved by fans, bookers and other wrestlers, all over the world. But offcourse....even the most beloved are bound to some day face someone who does not share this opinion... We see flashbacks of Mickie and Ronda's friendship growing after their first encounter back at Grandslam 13. A friendship who seemlingy was built on a lie from the get go... But despite all this, Mickie blossomed once again and prevailed, rising from the ashes like a phoenix reborn, finding herself the New EAM Center of Attention Champion in the process! But then, the injury....We see a flashback video of Ronda, not only breaking Mickie's arm, but their friendship as well... We cut back to the arena then for our main event...

Tag Team Matchup (Read below first)
Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter Vs IIconics (Billie Kay & Peyton Royce)

    - As the match is underway, The EAM Womens Tag Team Champions interfere, giving the referee no other possibility than to end the match in a no-contest. Piper and Jax go after Billie and Peyton however, truly angry for something. But Billie and Kay manage to escape trough the audience, and Jax and Piper does not persue them. Instead they get back into the ring where they cut a promo on how they warned Billie and Peyton that they really didn't need a reason to beat them up! Show ends with Piper and Jax standing in the ring, posing with their EAM Womens Tag Team Championship belts...

More announcements and build ups. I guess Quinn deserves it.

    Singles Matchup
    Candice LeRae Vs Heather Monroe

Pretty standard much from both girls Candice ends up getting the win after a ballsplex. Neither of these girls have done too much honestly and I doubt that they’re going to be around for much longer let alone another season.

Because they really don't need one! Billie and Peyton leaves the scene before something happens, letting Jax and Piper pass so they can enter their locker room. We cut back to the arena for our next match...

Should be a very interesting match that’s never been done before. There will be a new champion.

    Singles Matchup
    Skye Blue Vs Tessa Blanchard

Blue picks up one of the biggest wins of her career here by beating Tessa. She gets in a few moves but it’s not enough including a Tesseract.

Should be exciting, could be one of the best matches on the show and it’s hard to pick a winner. Could be pretty much even nobody knows who’s gonna win.

    Singles Matchup
    Raquel González Vs Kamille

Hard-hitting contest here from both women. The typical big girl power moves, chokeslam, power bombs but at the end it is Raquel that gets the win and even though they’re enemies right now could you imagine these two as a team in the future and down the line. Samoan Scotch would have trouble if they’re still champions then.

But then, the injury....We see a flashback video of Ronda, not only breaking Mickie's arm, but their
friendship as well... We cut back to the arena then for our main event...

No Mickie yet so we’re not entirely sure the match is going to happen. Definitely main event worthy though if it does. I think she should return at the end of the last Spotlight next week or in a different way.

    Tag Team Matchup
Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter Vs IIconics (Billie Kay & Peyton Royce)

Britt of course not happy with Jamie since she’s been single recently and it’s definitely a future match down the line at a later date it could be a pretty good rivalry. Jamie actually dominates the Iconics and gets close to winning…

As the match is underway, The EAM Womens Tag Team Champions interfere, giving the referee no other possibility than to end the match in a no-contest.

Pretty solid ending all makes sense and more build and I didn’t know that you could start a sentence with But
