    This week on RAMPAGE, Bryan Danielson faces Trent Beretta. Also, can Wheeler Yuta prove himself against Jon Moxley?





    – We’re underway! Excalibur, Taz, Ricky Starks, and William Regal are on commentary.

    Bryan Danielson vs. Trent Beretta

    They start off with some mat wrestling before Danielson lands a kick to Beretta’s back.

    Danielson comes off the ropes and runs into a back elbow from Beretta. Danielson lures Beretta into some kicks and backs him into the corner with a chop. Beretta turns it around with his own chops in the corner. Danielson goes for a front headlock but Beretta powers out with an overhead suplex.

    Danielson backs Beretta up again with chops and kicks in the corner. Beretta escapes a suplex and sends Danielson to the outside. Beretta goes for a dive to the floor but Danielson meets him with a kick to the chest. Danielson goes for his own dive to the outside but Beretta is waiting with a Saito suplex on the arena floor.

    Beretta charges Danielson but Danielson moves and Beretta crashes into the steel ring steps as we go to the picture-in-picture break.

    Back from the break, Beretta is fighting out of a headlock but Danielson retakes control with some strikes. Danielson taunts Beretta but that only fires up Beretta. Danielson still takes Beretta down with a front headlock suplex. Danielson climbs to the top rope. Beretta meets him and climbs up too. Beretta brings Danielson down with a superplex from the top rope. Both men are down.

    Danielson and Beretta trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Beretta finishes the exchange with a deadlift German suplex. Beretta lands a flying back elbow into the corner. Danielson retaliates with a forearm strike and a shoulder capture suplex for a 2-count. Danielson tries to lock on a Dragon Sleeper. Beretta fights to the ropes to break the hold. Danielson pulls Beretta to his feet and lands a series of knee strikes to Beretta’s head.

    Danielson goes for a Gotch-style piledriver. That leads to a series of near falls. Danielson charges into the corner and misses. Beretta hits a swinging DDT for a 2-count. Beretta puts Danielson on the top rope and goes up with him. Danielson slips out and comes back up for him. Danielson goes for a belly-to-back suplex from the top rope but Beretta lands on Danielson and gets a 2-count. Beretta and Danielson trade more strikes in the center of the ring. A big lariat by Beretta gets a 2-count.

    Regal is complimenting Beretta during this match.

    Beretta pounds Danielson with some forearms against the ropes. Beretta comes off the ropes but Danielson follows him and connects with his flying knee strike. Danielson follows up with a Gotch-style piledriver. Danielson stomps on Beretta’s head and locks on what Regal describes as a reverse cravat for the finish.

    Winner: Bryan Danielson

    – Backstage, Lexy Nair is in the locker room with Hook. She tries to ask some questions, but Hook isn’t talking. Hook gets up to leave but Danhausen appears and tries to curse him. It doesn’t work and Hook walks away. We go to a commercial break.

    Back from the break, TNT Champion Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page, and Dan Lambert are in the ring. Sky killed the “open door” challenge because he wants someone to step up and beat him.

    Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti interrupt Sky. Guevara says the title means nothing around Sky’s waist. Lambert says they need to talk more about what they do in the ring and not what they do in the bedroom. Ethan Page says Guevara and Conti are a P.R. disaster waiting to happen. Page prays his kid doesn’t end up like Conti.

    Guevara says he doesn’t give a sh*t about Page’s kid. He says they’ll keep coming out every week until he gets his title match.

    – In a pre-recorded segment, Chris Jericho presents his Sports Entertainer of the Week award to QT Marshall.

    Swerve Strickland vs. QT Marshall (with Aaron Solo & Nick Comoroto)

    Strickland gets the better of an early exchange for some near-falls. Marshall tries to send Strickland over the top rope but Strickland lands on his feet as we go to the picture-in-picture break.

    Back from the break, Strickland is landing a series of forearm strikes to take down Marshall. Strickland hits a flying European uppercut from the second rope. Marshall escapes a half-nelson and lands a pop-up forearm. Marshall goes for the Diamond Cutter but Strickland escapes.

    Strickland hits a Flatliner and a running back heel kick to the back of Marshall’s head. That gets the pin.

    Winner: Swerve Strickland

    Ricky Starks gets a mic at the commentary desk. He says he and Strickland have unfinished business. So it’ll be Starks & Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Strickland & Keith Lee on Wednesday’s Dynamite.

    – We get a hype video for “The Problem” Marina Shafir. She says she’s begging Jade Cargill to solve her.

    Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Qualifying Match: Red Velvet vs. Willow Nightingale

    Velvet escapes Nightingale’s power early and connects with a kick to the head. Nightingale overpowers Velvet to regain control. Another shoulder tackle puts down Velvet for a 2-count. Nightingale slams Velvet but misses a splash. Velvet backs Nightingale into the corner and hits a flurry of strikes.

    Nightingale cartwheels out of an Irish whip, takes down Velvet, and hits a senton for a 2-count. Nightingale climbs to the top rope but misses a moonsault. Velvet puts Nightingale against the ropes and hits a pair of running knees. Velvet hits her Just Desserts kick but Nightingale kicks out. Velvet charges into a spinebuster by Nightingale for another 2-count.

    Both women trade strikes in the center of the ring. Velvet comes off the ropes but Nightingale is ready with a Pounce. Nightingale squares Velvet with a cannonball in the corner for another 2-count. Velvet escapes a suplex attempt into a backstabber and hits a corkscrew kick for the pin.

    Winner: Red Velvet

    – Backstage, Lexy Nair with Tony Nese. He calls himself the hottest free agent signing in AEW history. Mark Sterling enters and offers his card to Nese and they leave together.

    – Mark Henry chats with Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta. Yuta says Moxley embarrassed him the first time they wrestled and he came close to beating him the second time. Yuta says he’s not scared of Moxley and will earn his respect.

    Moxley says it’s not his job to show Yuta respect and he doesn’t care what Regal thinks of him. He’s going to find out what Yuta is really made of.

    Jon Moxley vs. Wheeler Yuta

    No Best Friends with Yuta.

    Yuta dives on Moxley as he’s making his entrance and sends him into the steel ring steps. The spill outside the ringside barricade where Yuta keeps pounding on Moxley.

    Moxley manages to escape back to ringside. Yuta pursues him back into the ring where Moxley catches Yuta with a German suplex. The bell rings to start the match. Moxley suplexes Yuta and follows up with a running clothesline into the corner and some chops. Yuta fights his way back with some chops but Moxley puts him down with a boot. That gets a 1-count.

    Moxley grounds Yuta. Yuta fights back with chops. Moxley hits a headbutt but charges into a Manhattan drop. Yuta charges into the corner but Moxley sends him over the top rope to the outside. Moxley drives Yuta into the steel ring steps. Yuta is busted open as we go the picture-in-picture break.

    Moxley spent the break working on Yuta’s bloodied head. Yuta is getting wobbly from the blood loss but keeps fighting.

    Back from the break, Yuta is fighting to the ropes while in a Boston crab.

    Moxley pie faces Yuta against the ropes, but Yuta fights to his feet. Moxley tumbles to the outside. Yuta dives from the top rope and drives Moxley through the timekeeper’s table. Moxley is first to get back in the ring, despite taking the worse of the dive. Yuta’s face is a bloody mess but he gets back in the ring to beat the count. Yuta catches Moxley in a backslide for a 2-count and follows with a deadlift German suplex. He hits a second German but cant’ get a third as Moxley escapes. Moxley’s lariat is reversed by Yuta. Yuta grabs Moxley’s wrists and stomps his head…just like Bryan Danielson.

    Yuta lands a splash from the top rope for a near fall. Yuta follows with a cross face on Moxley in the middle of the ring. Moxley reverses into a pinning attempt for a 2-count. Moxley hits a lariat for a 2-count. Both men are down. Moxley gets to his feet and punches Yuta but Yuta is having none of it. He fights back. Moxley goes after the face of Yuta and backs him into the corner. They go to the top rope, and Yuta pushes off Moxley and dives right into a Paradigm Shift. Yuta kicks out at 2. Moxley can not believe it.

    Moxley locks on the bulldog choke. Yuta won’t tap. Moxley goes to some knee strikes to Yuta’s head.

    Moxley goes for a running boot. Yuta reverses it into his own bulldog choke. Moxley is able to power out of it but Yuta locks on a sleeper hold. Moxley escapes that and pounds Yuta with a series of elbows. Moxley hits a running knee strike and a high-angle Paradigm Shift. Yuta kicks out again! Moxley locks on a rear-naked choke and Yuta passes out.

    Winner: Jon Moxley

    William Regal and Bryan Danielson come down to the ring. Yuta is on his knees as the three surround him. Yuta is urging them to bring it on. They do nothing. Yuta stands to his feet. Regal extends his hand. Yuta shakes it.

    All four men are still in the ring as the show ends. It’s not made 100% clear if Yuta is now a member of the Blackpool Combat Club.
