AEW Rampage

This week on Rampage on TNT, New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi face AEW World Tag Team Champions the Young Bucks. Toni Storm vs Nyla Rose. Plus, the first ever 20-man Royal Rampage with the winner receiving a future title shot against Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.





– We’re underway! Excalibur, Jim Ross, and Tony Schiavone are on commentary.

Hangman Page makes his entrance. He is “Red #2”.

Darby Allin makes his entrance. He is “Blue #2”.

Royal Rampage

Page starts off in the red ring against Powerhouse Hobbs. Allin is in the blue ring against Tony Nese. The bell rings and we’re underway.

Hobbs quickly pounds Page in the corner. In the blue ring, Nese takes down Allin.

Ricky Starks enters. He is “Red #3”. Page is now in the red ring with Hobbs and Starks. Page and Starks trade strikes. Page gets the better of it but Hobbs is quickly on him to turn the tide.

In the blue ring, Allin hits a springboard Coffin Drop on Nese and then dumps him over the top rope for the first elimination. Allin hits a suicide dive on Nese which does not eliminate him.

The Butcher enters. He is “Blue #3”. Butcher grabs Allin at ringside and ragdolls him against the barricade.

In the red ring, Starks and Hobbs are still double-teaming Page, but can’t eliminate him. John Silver enters. He is “Red #4” and quickly comes to Page’s aid by going after Hobbs and Starks. Page and Silver combine for a double backdrop suplex on Hobbs. Page and Silver hug in the middle of the ring. Silver turns his back and Page acts like he’s going to toss him but stops because he was just kidding.

Max Caster enters. He raps he’s about to do the new “Malice in the Palace”. He also mentions winning the title so Tony Khan will hug him. Caster is “Blue #4”. Butcher is in control of the blue ring. Caster offers to scissor Butcher but he declines.

Rush makes his entrance. He is “Red #5”. Schiavone mentions he’s a former Ring of Honor World Champion. Rush no-sells some shots by Silver and hits a big vertical suplex.

The Blade makes his entrance. He’s “Blue #5”. So, Blade and Butcher are together in the blue ring. They double-team Allin. Butcher leans on Caster in the corner.

Penta Oscuro enters. He is “Red #6”. Rush comes down to the entryway to meet him and Penta hits him with a superkick and slingblade on the ramp. Penta rolls Rush back into the ring but jumps off the top turnbuckle into a dropkick by Rush. Silver is eliminated.

Swerve Strickland enters. He is “Blue #6”. Strickland quickly takes down Butcher, Blade, and Caster. Caster charges and Strickland dumps him over the top rope and kicks him off the apron. Caster is eliminated.

Keith Lee enters. He is “Red #7”. So, Lee and Strickland are in separate rings. Lee steps into the red ring and stares down at Strickland, who is smiling back at him. Hobbs and Starks attack Lee from behind.

We go to the picture-in-picture break.

During the break, Matt Hardy enters as “Blue #7”. Hardy goes right after The Blade and The Butcher.

Back from the break, Dustin Rhodes enters. He is “Red #8”. Rhodes hits a powerslam on Starks but gets run over by Hobbs. Meanwhile, Rush and Penta square off, and trade strikes in the center of the ring. Rush runs into a superkick. Penta and Rush spill over the top rope to the apron. Rush hits a low blow but Penta grabs Rush as he falls and they’re both eliminated.

Frankie Kazarian enters as “Blue #8”. Meanwhile, Andrade El Idolo is helping Rush beat up Penta on the floor. Hardy hits a Side Effect on Blade. Blade reverses the Twist of Fate and Butcher dumps him over the top rope to eliminate him.

Dante Martin enters as “Red #9”. He quickly catches Starks with a kick and sends him over the top rope. Starks hangs on until Hobbs rescues him and they go to work on Martin.

Konosuke Takeshita is “Blue #9”. Takeshita runs over Strickland and hits a huge Blue Thunder Bomb on Allin. Blade clotheslines Kazarian over the top rope and he is eliminated.

Brody King is “Red #10” and the final entrant in the red ring. Rhodes goes right after King but King quickly fights him off and hits a running clothesline in the corner on Rhodes.

Orange Cassidy is “Blue #10” and the final entrant in the blue ring. He’s taking his time getting to the ring.

King chops Martin off the top rope and he’s eliminated. Page and Rhodes jump into double-team King. In the blue ring, Cassidy hits a double hurricanrana on Butcher and Blade. Takeshita and Cassidy square off. In the red ring, Starks and Hobbs eliminate Rhodes.

In the blue ring, Takeshita misses a jumping knee in the corner, and Butcher and Blade dump him to eliminate him. Strickland dumps Cassidy, who had his back turned.

In the red ring, Lee eliminates Hobbs and Starks eliminates Lee. Butcher and Blade double-team Strickland and eliminate him from the blue ring.

In the red ring, Page takes down King. Starks tries to dump him but he hangs on. Starks charges and Page evades him and Starks flies over the top rope to eliminate himself. Page tries to line up King but he catches Page and knocks him off the apron to the floor. King is the last man standing in the red ring.

In the blue ring, Allin quickly eliminates Blade and Butcher. Allin is the last man in the blue ring.

It’s down to King and Allin. King goes right after Allin and tosses him from the blue ring through the ropes of both rings into the red ring. King hits a cannonball senton into the corner on Allin.

King lifts Allin onto the top turnbuckle and chops him. King climbs up but Allin fights back and King slips to the ring apron. Allin kicks at King and bites at his hand. King shakes it all off and grabs Allin in a sleeper hold. He pulls Allin over the top rope and dangles him off the edge of the ring apron. Allin is clearly out. King drops him and he is the winner of the Royal Rampage.

Winner: Brody King

– King will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW Interim World Championship on Wednesday’s “Dynamite”.

– Back from the break, we hear from HOOK.

AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks vs. Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI

If Goto & YOSHI-HASHI win they get a title shot.

Nick Jackson starts off against Goto and Nick quickly goes to some kicks. Goto responds with a shoulder tackle and tags in YOSHI for a double-team. They take down Matt Jackson and hit their “war drums” on Matt and then on Nick too.

YOSHI whips Nick but he holds onto the rope. Matt tags in and hits his locomotion Northern Lights suplexes. Goto tries to intervene on the last one and Matt takes over both men. Nick runs up the turnbuckle and hits an Escalera onto Goto and YOSHI on the floor and we go to a picture-in-picture break.

Back from the break, YOSHI takes Nick over with a vertical suplex and tags in Goto. Matt also tags in. Goto runs wild with a running leg lariat into the corner. A running bulldog gets a 2-count.

Goto lifts Matt but Matt slips out the back. Nick makes a blind tag and the double-team Goto. YOSHI breaks up the pin attempt.

Goto catches Nick, who slips out the back. YOSHI hits him with a clothesline in the corner. They hit an assisted Head Hunter but Nick kicks out. Goto and YOSHI set up for their finisher but Nick kicks YOSHI away. Goto catches him with a lariat. Matt enters and hits a superkick on Goto. YOSHI hits his own lariat on Matt. All four men are down.

Nick charges at Goto and gets caught with an ushigoroshi. Goto tags in YOSHI. He blocks a superkick and hits his own on Nick. YOSHI and Goto double-team Nick with a superkick-ushigoroshi combo for a 2-count. They set up for their finisher but Matt breaks it up with a superkick to YOSHI. Bucks hit a double superkick on Goto. They hit the BTE Trigger on YOSHI.

Goto has rolled into the second ring. Nick runs up the turnbuckle for a double springboard diving attack on Goto. Matt sets up YOSHI for the Melzer Driver and Nick flies back into the ring to complete the move and that gets the pin.

Winners: The Young Bucks

– We go to prerecorded comments from Ring of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham. He said he and Lee Moriarty will take on two of Tully Blanchard’s clients on next Friday’s “Rampage”. Gresham says he’s the best technical wrestler in the world and says he’s tired of seeing others laying claim to that distinction. The video editing shows Cesaro and Bryan Danielson. Gresham says he’ll prove he is who he says he is. We go to a commercial break.

– Back from the break, Mark Henry chats with Nyla Rose and Toni Storm. Marina Shafir is with Rose. Rose says Storm is encroaching on her territory because she is the #1 contender.

Storm says once she’s done with Rose she’ll be back after Thunder Rosa and the AEW Women’s Championship.

Back in the arena, Nyla Rose makes her entrance. Toni Storm then makes her entrance.

Nyla Rose (with Marina Shafir) vs. Toni Storm

Lock up to start and Rose overpowers Storm with forearms to the back. She misses a punt kick and Storm fires back with forearm strikes. Storm runs into a big clothesline by Rose.

Rose comes off the ropes but Storm catches her with a drop toe hold and low drop kick. Storm backs Rose into the corner and fires away with strikes but Rose cuts off Storm’s charge into the corner with a flying body attack. Rose hits a vertical suplex.

Storm fires up with forearm strikes Storm hits the ropes but Shafir pulls down the middle rope and Storm spills to the floor. Shafir kicks down Storm as we go to the picture-in-picture break.

Back from the break, Storm is reeling from a lengthy stint in a rear chin lock by Rose. Rose misses a cannonball senton in the corner. Storm hits her running hip attack in the corner. Shafir reaches into the ring and Storm kicks her away. Rose pulls Storm down across the top rope. Storm is on the apron. Rose misses a charge as Storm pulls down the top rope and Rose spills to the floor. Storm comes off the apron with a double diving DDT on both Rose and Shafir.

Storm rolls Rose into the ring and climbs to the top turnbuckle. She hits a cross body from the top rope. Rose kicks out at 1.

Rose runs over Storm and gets a 2-count. Rose tries for the Beast Bomb. Storm goes over the top rope but Rose reverses the rollup into her own for another near fall.

Rose and Storm trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Rose tries to lift Storm but Storm slips out the back. Rose hits a kick to Storm’s head for a 2-count. Somewhere in the middle of this, Rose also pulled off the top turnbuckle pad.

Rose sets up Storm across the top rope but misses her diving knee drop from the top turnbuckle. Storm hits a German suplex for a near fall.

Shafir gets on the ring apron. Storm kicks her off while hitting a tornado DDT. Storm hits another DDT and that gets the pin on Rose.

Winner: Toni Storm

Shafir attacks Storm after the bell. Thunder Rosa runs down to the rescue and takes out both Rose and Shafir. Rosa and Storm clear the ring.

Storm offers her hand and Rosa shakes it as we go off the air.
