AEW Dynamite

Jon Moxley's rivalry with Hangman Page continues. Samoa Joe seeks to reclaim the TNT Championship Title from Darby Allin in a No Holds Barred match. Bryan Danielson must defeat Timothy Thatcher to get a step closer to AEW World Champion MJF. TBS Champion Jade Cargill defends against Red Velvet. Brian Cage faces Konosuke Takeshita. Plus, AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed are in action.

We're at the Nutter Center in Dayton Ohio. Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone have the call.


Jon Moxley w/his father & Wheeler Yuta vs. Hangman Page

Moxley attacks at the outset and throws Page into the rail. Moxley chokes Page with his shirt. Action spills over the barricade and into the crowd. Boot by Page. Moxley attacks with chops and a figure four (action is still in the crowd). A fan throws a beer on Moxley, distracting him enough to release. Moxley Pillmanizes the leg but Page throws the chair in Moxley's face. Page with a suplex and finally, both men enter the ring and we're officially underway. They trade elbows. Moxley is bleeding. Dropkick to the leg by Moxley. Indian Death Lock by Moxley. Page makes the ropes. German by Page.

BTW major props to production. The place looks amazing on TV.

They trade chops. Fallaway slam by Page. Clothesline by Moxley. Choke hold on the apron by Moxley. Page blocks a piledriver and foreman carries him straight into the post. We go to commercial.

Welcome back and it's Page biting Moxleys head and he connects with a Death Valley Driver off the 2nd rope for 2. Kicks by Page. Moxley fights back and a cutter by Moxley. They trade chops. Kicks by Moxley. Choke by Moxley. Belly to back by Page, Moxley responds in kind. Superplex by Moxley for 2. Bulldog choke by Mox and he stomps Page's head.

Cory Strode would call this a hoss fight. Backdrop to tbhe floor by Page and he misses a moonsault to the floor. Moxley clears the timekeepers table. Page with a spinebuster through the table. Back in the ring it's a clothesline and a deadeye by Page for 2.

Lariat by Moxley. They trade elbows. Small package by Page for 2. Tombstone by Page. Buckshot by Page for 2. Bulldog choke by Page. Simple rollup by Moxley and he scores the pin.

After the match:
The BCC comes in and gets between the 2.


We see video on Darby Allin and Samoa Joe.

Backstage:
Renee is with the Bunny and Jamie Hayter. Butcher and Blade are with Bunny. Bunny wants an Eliminator Match next week. We cut to Saraya and Toni Stprm attacking Britt Baker in the parking lot.


The Acclaimed vs. 2 Guys Already in the Ring

We never actually get a graphic or announcement as to who these guys are. I'm guessing this won't last long. It doesn't

Here comes Austin and Colton Gunn. They want a title shot. Billy says he's done with this and walks off. He comes back and accepts a match on behalf of the Acclaimed.


We get comments from Jack Perry. He vows to be a singles champion in 2023.


Konosuke Takeshita vs. Brian Cage (w/ Brian Cage)

Kick by Takeshita followed by a spinning back elbow and a dropkick. Cage to the floor. Takeshita with a dive over the top. Cage with a buckle bomb into the post. Back in the ring, Cage scores a 2 count. They trade elbows. Cage with a kneelift. Blue Thunder by Takeshita. Takeshita misses a knee and Cage suplexes him back in. We go to commercial.

As we return, it's Takeshita with a running knee and a lariat. German by Takeshita for 2. Buckle bomb by Cage. Liger bomb by Takeshita for 2. Rolling elbow by Takeshita for 2. Lariat by Cage for 2. Brainbuster bt Takeshita for 2. Kick by Cage. F5 by Cage. Superplex by Takeshita. Running knee by Takeshita for the pin.

Backstage:
Renee is with the JAS, sans Jake Hager, bragging about the Win last week. The announce a Garcia/Guevara gauntlet for Ricky Starks.


The Elite are at a basketball court. They challenge AR Fox and Top Flight to a match. Stokely shows up with Matt Hardy, Ethan Page and Isaiah Kassidy . They challenge the Elite to a match Friday.


Timothy Thatcher vs. Bryan Danielson

Grappling at the onset. Thatcher goes for the Fujiwara, Danielson makes the ropes. Uppercuts by Thatcher, he drives the knee into Danielson's shoulder. Kicks by Danielson into a leglock. Thatcher with joint manipulation of the fingers and drives the knees into the shoulder. Danielson with kicks and a running dropkick. Double wristlock by Thatcher, Danielson makes the ropes.

We go to commercial.

As we return to live action, Thatcher with a chop and an elbow to the chest. Forearms by Thatcher. Underhook by Thatcher. uppercuts by Thatcher. Danielson fights out of a butterfly. Headbutts by Danieslon. Dropkick by Danieslon. Uppercuts by both men. Yes kicks by Danielson. Backslide for 2 by Danielson. Danielson rains elbows into a sleeper, Thatcher powers out. Referee takes a bump after a collision.

Here comes MJF. Konosuke Takeshita blocks the champion and chases him off. Deep armbar by Thatcher. Danielson makes the rope. Belly to belly by Thatcher. German by Danielson. Busaiku for the pin by Danielson.

Backstage:
We see MJF and Takeshita brawling backstage. Renee Paquette announces there'll be an eliminator next week between the 2.


It's Rush v. Danielson next week. MJF approaches him and offers Rush a briefcase of cash to beat Danieslon next week.


TBS Championship
Jade Cargill (c) vs. Red Velvet

Velvet attacks from behind. Thez press into right hand punches by Velvet. RV sends Jade to the floor and nails a dropkick. They brawl on the floor. Rollup for 2 by Velvet. Release German by Jade. We go to commercial.

We're back and Jade is doing pushups. Hip toss by the champion but a big dropkick. Pump kick by Jade for 2. Kiera Hogan attackes Leyla Grey at ringside. Kick by Velvet for 2. Short arm scissor by Velvet. Jade picks her up and nails Jaded for the pin.

Winner and still champion: Jade Gaargill


Backstage:
Dr Baker says she is fine. Ruby Soho enters the room. They don't like/trust each other.


TNT Championship Match
No Holds Barred
Darby Allin (c) vs.Samoa Joe

Allin is wearing a thumbtack jacket and attacks at the outset. Joe with a towel assisted punch. Joe tears the jacket off. Joe grabs a table and Allin dropkicks it into Joe's head. Joe is bleeding. Joe sends Allin into the crowd. They brawl throughout the Nutter Center. Joe with a throw on to the arena stairs as we head to commercial.'

We are back to live action and Joe has a neck wrench on Allin. He scores a 2. Forearm by Joe he goes back to the neck wrench. Allin fors back but Joe with a takedown for 2. Joe grabs a table and sets it up on the rail. Jawbreaker by Allin followed by chops. Joe chucks Allin over the buckle to the floor. Suplex by Joe grabs some chairs, 3 to be exact. Belly to back on the chairs by Joe. Allin has got to be in serious pain. Code Red by Allin for 2. Stunner by Allin and he brings in the tack laced jacket and nails a coffin drop for 2. Allin cuts the canvas ropes and exposes the ring wood. Darby misses a tope and he crashes through the table. Joe powerboms Allin on the tack filled jacket. Eye rake by Allin. Allin with chair shots. Allin to the top but Jow with a muscle buster on the boards for the pin.

After the match:
Here comes Wardlow to confront the new champion. They brawl. Joe escapes the powerbomb symphony and regroups on the floor.
