    Default Monday Night Draw

Because one show every monday was not enough!

    EPISODE #001

    Hostess; Shotzi Blackhart

It's monday night and we find ourselves in The Hammerstein Ballroom as usual on monday nights. The arena is jampacked with ravenous wrestling fans. But even tough it's monday night, this is not Jamboree. The whole interior has changed, from black and orange to Red and blue. Logos, banners, everything is new. Even the titantron and the music coming from the arena speakers are different. Down at ringside we find Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuiness as usual, but they are neatly dressed up tonight, as we are about to witness history. They welcome the TV audience, and make sure that everyone who's watching tonight, at home or from the arena, are going to be part of wrestling history! The titantron starts to flicker and music cranks the arena speakers as Shotzi Blackheart makes her way out on the stage, heading down the ramp towards the ring. As she makes it ringside she walks around the ring where she picks up a microphone from Bryan and Nigel's table before she rolls into the ring and adress the audience, making it official by proclaiming into the microphone; " Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome, to Monday Night Draw! "

After the applause has calmed, Shotzi explains that this is the first of what is going to be a weekly show, but it's not going to take over for Jamboree, but rather be a complementary show. But that does not mean it's going to be B-Show by any means. Oh No! Rather the opposite in fact. Besides giving you fans top notch wrestling, Shotzi personally gonna see to that the fans are getting the latest news, scoops, promos, interviews, you name it! She wont reveal anymore at this point, but tell the audience to make sure to keep on following in upcoming weeks, as this is something they dont want to miss. And to kick things off, we got a banger for you right here, right now! Melissa, take it away!

    EAM Television Championship Matchup
    WALTER (c) Vs Drew McIntyre

Both men gets a good reaction as both are pretty over with the EAM audience. What follows is not a long match, and not a wrestling clinic by any means, but the two men displays some real athletesism between the stiff chops and throws. Drew even goes to the top rope, managing to connects a devastating missile dropkick to WALTER, but not enough for the three count. WALTER gets the win almost at the 15 minutes mark with a clothesline which almost takes Drew's head off! Der Ring General picks up yet another win. His list of victims are many at this point. We go to commercials with WALTER lifting The EAM Television Championship over his head...

We get a promotional video, showing off two of the most anticipated young talents that has signed with EAM over the years, offcourse talking about Taz's son HOOK and the boy who's prophecied to keep his uncle and dad's legacy alive; Rex Steiner. Both are envisioned big careers in the business, and their first months in the company has only empazised that fact. They have not crossed paths yet however, something that is bound to surely happen sometime down the road....

We cut back to the arena where music cranks the arena speakers and the titantron flickers. Keith Lee walks out on the stage together with Swerve Strickland, and they make their way down to the ring before cutting a small promo, introducing themselves as " Swerve In Our Glory " telling the fans the reason why they decided to team up etc. then putting up a challenge to any tag team backstage, because they are not here just to talk, but to show that they means business. Their challenge is answered and music once again cranks the arena speakers. Two men walks out on the stage. One of them are pretty well known to the EAM fans, as Jeff Cobb has has his fair share of memorable matches in EAM. But the man walking up beside him are not a known face here in EAM. Cobb however has a microphone and explains to everyone, Lee and Strickland included, that this man is known as Great-O-Khan. He comes from the land of the rising sun, and together with Cobb, they are United Empire. And tonight, they are going to take the first step into the prestigious EAM Tag Team Division, by making an example out of Lee and Strickland...

    Tag Team Matchup
Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland) Vs United Empire (Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan)

We are presented to a display of chain-wrestling and quick tactical tags, with some big guys who seemingly manage to deny gravity. Back and forth action from all four men, and everyone gets in some signatures and good spots during the match. Neither team manage to really get the upper hand though, so the match actually ends in a draw, as the 20 minute mark is reached. The four men does not stop to fight as the bell rings however, and continue the brawl outside the ring before getting seperated by security. Some fans are let down by this result, but this clearly sets things up for a later encounter between the two teams, and since neither team lost this bout, it makes both new tag teams look good in their first showing...

We get a promotional video next, showing EAM Promotions close relation to some other promotions over the years. From Englands 1PW in the early years, and promoting other promotions titles before having any themselves. Working with JAPW/FIP, Chikara, Combat Zone Wrestling and IWA-Mid South to work with bigger promotions like AAA, NJPW, TNA, ROH and even WWE on more than one occasion. A couple of those promotions is now even owned by EAM, like CZW and OVW. Because of this thight relationship with other promotions, EAM designed a championship belt that would further promote the co-work between wrestling promotions, as " The Forbidden Door " has never been a term in EAM Promotions. With all this history, and with so much of it being one of many reasons EAM Promotions are on the top of the wrestling business today, we want to pay homage to one of the most under-appreciated titles this business ever saw, by inducting The Florida Heritage Championship into EAM's Hall Of Fame!

Speaking of other promotions, tonights main event is hyped up by Daniel and Nigel, telling us that Jessie Godderz, representing Ohio Valley Wrestling, will be challenging for AJ Styles' EAM Crosspromotional Championship. As Godderz makes his way out on the stage and down the ramp, Daniel and Nigel explains the relationship that EAM and OVW has had over all these years, a relationship that actually goes deeper than most people might know. Daniel even throws in a fun fact, telling that The Bosss (refering to Emil A.) has not missed one single episode of OVW TV ever! Styles then makes his way out on the stage, sporting the EAM Crosspromotional Championship around his waist. He's been escorted out by his good friend and current Ornate Prime Champion; Triple C. The two men get a pretty good reaction from the crowd as they make their way down to the ring...

    EAM Crosspromotional Championship Matchup
AJ Styles (c) Vs Jessie Godderz

A brave and heroic showing by Godderz, who manage to get in a couple of nearfalls early on in the match, and by that getting some of the crowd behind himself, as some actually think of the possibility of an up-set win. But after a hard fought ten minutes, Styles finishes the match off with a superman punch, followed up by The Styles Clash for the win. What follows however is a vulgar display of disrespect from Styles, as he kicks Godderz out of the ring and following up with a promo where he talks down OVW and everyone who ever stepped foot in that piss-ant company. He says it's a disgrace that EAM puts such empazis on them, as they never ever produced any big stars. As a matter of fact, Styles can guarantee that he can beat anyone who's ever wrestled for OVW! Music interruptes him, and the whole audience explodes... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aqv5TYQTFYM . Out on the stage walks none other than The Dr. Of Thuganamics himself, and he's carrying a microphone. After a while the cheers from the audience silence and Cena wastes no time, spitting a old-shool freestyle rap at Styles, explaining that he would love to give Styles the beating of his life, just for him to eat his words, but.... the fact is, that he's got a friend that's even more anxious to teach Styles some manners and defending the OVW name in the process. A seconds silence is then followed by more music from the arena speakers. And the fun thing is, that even though this song has never ever been played in a EAM arena, the fans instantly understand who Cena's friend is... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6SOYlunc88 . Out on the stage, to a almost standing ovation from the home crowd comes Dave Batista. He walks up beside Cena and pose, while Cena has an evil smirk on his face. Daniel and Nigel are as shocked as the audience by this, explaining that this was one of the last things they ever expected to happen in EAM. What's gonna happen next? Guess we'll have to wait for next weeks episode. Styles and Triple C makes their way out trough the audience as the show ends, zooming in on Cena and Batista at the stage. Or shall we say The Prototype and Leviathan?

    EPISODE #002

The second episode of Monday Night Draw opens with WALTER's music cranking the arena speakers. He gets a big reaction from the crowd as he makes his way out on the stage and down the ramp. He makes it to the ring where he cuts a promo about how he's beaten everyone in this promotion, and if management has no more guys to throw at him, he's got nothing left to prove at this point. He gets interrupted as music cranks the arena speakers; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4ErmBDTOJo . HBK walks out on the stage followed by a massive pop from the audience. He makes his way down to the ring and enters, gesturing for a microphone and gets handed one by one of the ring crew guys. He then says, straight to WALTER's face that he wants to remind WALTER about a certain match last year (it shows on the titantron, showing their contest wich ended in a no-contest, meaning that WALTER never beat HBK. Shawn then propose for a rematch right now, as not only does WALTER owe him one, but he owes the fans one. This comment offcourse gets a big pop from the audience, putting WALTER in a position where he really cannot put down the challenge, not after what he just said, so he just gives Shawn a small nod, and the audience pops again. Both men makes themselves ready, as this is gonna be our opening contest!

    EAM Television Championship Matchup
    WALTER (c) Vs Shawn Michaels

This surely got the arena buzzing, as this match is PPV level material for sure. Both men circles each other in the ring, trying to get a feeling of the situation, while the fans go rabid in the rafters. After some hesitation they lock up in the test of strength, but HBK quickly realize that is a bad idea as WALTER quickly gets the upper hand and puts Shawn in a bearhug type manouver. But HBK manage to grab a hold of the ropes, and that gives him enough leverage to get out of WALTER's hold. He reverses the hold but WALTER quickly revitalize and knocks Shawn down with a fierce chop to the chest. Crossface connected by WALTER then and some back and forth grappling on the canvas before Shawn kips-up. He goes for the ropes only to find himself on the recieving end of a devastating clothesline by WALTER. He goes for the cover, but HBK kicks out at the 2 count. The match goes on with some back and forth action before HBK manage to get the upper hand after connecting with a superkick. The fans are on the edge of their seats as HBK climbs the turnbuckles, making it for the top. Could we have a new EAM Television Champion? Shawn poses on the top of the rop, making himself ready to dive off and deliver a finishing flying elbow to WALTER when from out under the ring, someone grabs a hold of Shawns legs, making him fall off. WALTER wastes no time. Last Symphony on HBK! Cover 1...2...3! WALTER retains, with a little help... The guy under the ring pulls his hood down. It's Shawn Spears! Shaw Spears cost HBK the match! He laughs at HBk as he makes his way backwards up the ramp. Shawn obviously is pissed, as he once again got screwed out of a title match. We cut to commercials as the referee hands WALTER his EAM Television Championship title...

As we cut back from commercials, we are presented to a shortened down version of a interview that Renee Young did with David Benoit (The full interview can be watched on EAM's official website) where David explains how hard it was for him to be accepted into the business, and how grateful he is for the opportunity that Emil A. and EAM gave him, not to mention the people who has supported him along the way, both wrestlers and fans. What the future holds for him in this business he's not 100% sure about at this point, but he's pretty sure he wants to continue in the business, one way or another. One things he knows for sure though, and that is " looking forward is the only possibility for him " because the past is behind him, and should stay that way...

We get a recap from the tag team match between Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland) annd United Empire (Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan) from last weeks episode of Monday Night Draw, wich ended in a time-limit draw. A rematch will take place next week on the third episode of MND. Then we are presented to two new tag teams, who will be in action next. Bryan and Nigel tell us some quick facts about these tag teams as they make their ways to the ring. Brick City Boyz is known from various indy companies, but most notably Beyond Wrestling. Slex and Tommy Knight come from the land down under, and are undoubtably two of the hottest names from the land of OZ, being the current Melbourne City Wrestling Tag Team Champions.

    Tag Team Matchup
Brick City Boyz (Julio Cruz & Victor Chase) Vs Slex & Tommy Knight

A good showing from both teams with some good back and forth action. It's the Australian team that gets the win in the end though after some impressive double-teaming, but not a bad showing by the Newark boys at all, and both teams gets some cheers from the audience after the showing. There is even some show of respect after the match, as Julio and Victor shake Slex and Tommy's hands.

We cut to a promotional video featuring what seemingly are a new signing to EAM. But at this point we are not presented to who it is right away, rather we get a cryptic message of sorts. The location of the promo is in a dim-lighted locker room. We can see a gym bag with the UFC logo, but not much are revealed besides that, except for a messages written with what looks like lipstick on the wall. " It's time to turn to another page of my life. And this time around, I will be the author " The lights in the ceilling starts to flicker, then they go out entirely...

We then cut back to the arena for our main event, and get a small video recap on how this match came together. We then get the tale of the tape, as Nigel and Bryan talks about how strange this is, as it's actually the first time ever, that Dave Batista will walk into a EAM ring. Just let that sink in for a moment. Both men makes their entrances, with Dave actually getting the biggest pop.

    EAM Crosspromotional Championship Matchup
AJ Styles (c) Vs Dave Batista

The match goes much longer than most fans probably anticipated. And despite the fact that nobody espected a wrestling clinic from this match, both men actually manage to get the fans invested in it. Batista gets a good showing in this one, pulling off his signature moves and usual antics. A Batista bomb almost manage to give him a fall, but Styles kicks out right before the 3 count. Cena makes his way to ringside to support Batista as we pass fifteen minutes of the match. Then Styles gets in a Pele kick to Batista, followed up by a Superman Punch. He connects! Batista stumbles. Styles sets him up for The Styles Clash. He connects! He makes the cover 1....2.... Cena pulls Styles off Batista, breaking the three count. This makes Styles furious, who gets up and goes for the ropes, yelling at Cena to stay away. But then, almost from out of nowhere, The Ornate Prime Champion, launches himself off the barricade, crashing into Cena. This distraction is all Batista needs however, so as Styles turns around he finds himself on the recieving end of a clothesline. He goes down and Batista lifts him up, setting him up for the finish. Batista bomb! Cover 1....2...No! Triple C makes the save, breaking the fall. At this point, the match turns into a full out braw, with all four men participating, giving the referee no other choice than to rule the match a No-Contest. This offcourse results in some boooos from the fans in attendance. Security makes their way to ringside trying to seperate the four men as this episode of Monday Night Draw ends a bit anticlimatic. But this surely is not over, obviously setting things up for a later date...

    Quick Results:

    EPISODE #003

Another monday, another episode of EAM's new show Monday Night Draw. The show starts with EAM CrossPromotional Chmpion; AJ Styles and his pal, The Ornate Prime Champion; Triple C. Styles cut's a promo, talking about how EAM has gone downwards as of late, especially when washed up has-been's like John Cena and Dave Batista gets to be in the spotlight. He also mention the fact that neither he or Triple C has anything to prove, neither to Dave or John, or to anyone else. This gets some booo's from the audience, but this only fuels Styles' sudden hatred. He continues on, speaking about how Triple C single-handedly demolished Cena at the grandest stage. He agree's that Cena was a minor spectacle when he signed with EAM, as nobody ever saw it coming, but John's 15 minutes of fame in EAM is very much over. And when it comes to Dave Batista. It's a reason why he never had a match in EAM in the 17 years of the promotions existence. And the reason is quite simple. He sucks! He then gets interrupted as music cranks the arena speakers. Out on the stage walks Batista together with Cena, and by the look on their faces, they are not very found of Styles and Triple C's attitude. They make their way down the ramp as Styles and Triple C make mocking gestures in the ring. But the mockery quickly stops as Batista and Cena waste no time, punishing them for their behaviour. In one fell swoop, both men are thrown out of the ring by Cena and Batista, to a big cheer from the audience. Cena then gestures for a microphone and gets handed one by one of the ring-crew guys. Cena then does what he does best, putting down his opponents, verbally as well as physically. He responds to what Styles was talking about before, about how EAM has gone downhill because of people like him and Dave. Cena then goes on, talking about how Styles used to be the hottest name on the indy circuit, and how everyone wanted to sign him. How he became the posterboy of TNA, and made a name for himself, being one of the few people never to wrestle for WWE. And now this? He goes on for a while more, talking about how Styles and Triple C bashed OVW, not remembering where they came from themselves etc. Then he ends the promo by challenging Styles and Triple C to a tag team match against Cena and Dave next week, and before they even answer, he wants to tell them about a certain letter that John got in his pocket, signed by the GM Randy Orton himself. And the letter says that if Styles and Triple C does not turn up to a match next week, they will be relieved of their respective titles! The ball is in their corner now! Mike drop and we cut to the Monday Night Draw vignette....

    Tag Team Matchup
FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dash Harwood) Vs The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)

Tonights opening bout is nothing short of a fast-paced tag team extravaganza. Both teams have the audience behind them as the match almost goes to a time-limit draw. None of these teams are willing to give up, and that tells something about EAM's tag division, when a normal tag team match on a secondary show, for no prize what so ever mind you, means so much for both teams. Hot tags and tag team chain-wrestling from both teams, and both teams gets in some nearfalls as well. But in the end its Wheeler and Harwood who gets the win, and they are starting to build a name for themselves. Ford and Dawkins looks good though, and neither man looks bad in this matchup. They show Wheeler and Harwood their respect by extanding their hands after the match, and the audience pops as Wheeler and Harwood accepts the gesture and shake their hands. We go to commercials with Ford and Dawkins raising Wheeler and Harwood's arms...

As we get back from commercial break, we go back to ringside where David Benoit cut's a In-ring promo before his upcoming match. He talks about his struggles, making it on his own in this business etc. And offcourse the stigma of being the son of his father. It's a emmotional David who stands in the ring right now, and everyone who know his struggles to make a name for himself in this business can only feel sorry for him right now. He then make a cryptic statement, saying " The Kid has grown up, and is finally ready to fly. Concider this a new dawn and a new chapter! " David then throws away the microphone, making himself ready as the titantron starts to flicker and music cranks the arena speakers. His opponent Mike Bailey makes his way out on the stage, getting a good reaction from the crowd. Mike is in somewhat the same position as David, he's been in EAM for a long time, but never really managed to grab that brass ring. He makes his way down the ring, while David on the other hand makes his way back out of the ring on the announce table side and disappears under the ring. This confused the announcers as well as Bailey, as he wonders where David went as he reaches ringside. He enters the ring, still confused as to where David went, not seeing the masked person climbing the turnbuckles. The audience tries to warn him, but to no use. He turns around. The bell rings. Diving crossbody from the masked luchador!

    Singles Matchup
" Speedball " Mike Bailey Vs David Benoit

The masked luchador wasted no time and put's a nonplussed Bailey in a roll-up for the 3 count! The audience in attentance can't believe it. What just happened? Who is this luchador? And where did David go? But as the referee raises the masked man's hand we get the answer, as he pulls off his mask, revealing none other than David Benoit. He must have put on that mask while he was under the ring. The commentators makes the comment about the mask, as the camera now zooms in on it, and we can now clearly see that it is indeed no generic luchador mask, but Chris Benoit's legendary Pegasus Kid mask. Suddenly David's comment earlier about how the Kid was all grown up etc. make sense. The commentators can also inform us that what we just witnessed has to be some sort of record, as the official ruling of the match is that it ended in 12 seconds!

We get a promo package next, featuring various EAM wrestlers talking about the the phenom that is Der Ring General. People like Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar and Shawn Michaels telling us that WALTER is the real deal, and that anyone that's been in the ring with him can account for that.

We are now ready for tonights main event, wich will be the much anticipated rematch from episode 1 that ended in a time-limit draw. For tonights match however, that will not be an issue, because if the match exceeds TV time tonight, you will be able to see the end of the match on the EAM Network, as we are not shutting down our camera's even though our TV time runs our, so despair not, because if you are a member of the EAM Network you will be able to see the ending. And without further ado, take it away Melissa!

    Tag Team Matchup
Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland) Vs United Empire (Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan)

If tonights opener was a tag team spectacle, this was nothing less. Fast-paced and hard hitting stiff moves from both teams as all four men are seemingly determined to destroy one an another. The match takes place both inside and outside the ring, and at one point the referee has trouble maintaining order. So much as at one point he gets knocked over when he gets in the middle of a move from Lee and Strickland that Cobb and Khan manage to reverse. And with the referee down, all hell turns lose. Without someone to count them out, the match are quickly taken to the outside, where the barricade as well as the announce table are used as weapons. The match does exceeds TV time, but not by much, as all four men are so occupied by unleashing hell on each other outside the ring that neither man are aware of the fact that the referee is back up on his feet. He gestures for the bell and the match are ruled a double-count out. Something that's not very popular amongst the audience offcourse. But the four men seemlingy does not care, as they continue the brawl until security swarms the ringside area and manage to clear them apart. But this aint over by a longshot...

    Quick Results

    1) FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dash Harwood) Def. The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) 18:31

    2) The Pegasus Kid (David Benoit) Def. Mike Bailey 00:12

    3) Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland) Vs United Empire (Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan) ended in a Double-Count Out 34:41
