Will Ospreay is out of action with an injury.

NJPW announced Tuesday evening that the top star suffered an injury to his right shoulder. The announcement noted that Ospreay “does not have a timetable for recovery at this time.” Because of this, he was pulled from Wednesday’s show at Okayama.

The injury happened when he worked a match against fellow United Empire member Mark Davis of Aussie Open. Although he was injured, he was able to push through the pain and completed the match where he went over.

As of this writing, he is still scheduled to advance to the quarterfinals for a match that will see him face EVIL on March 17 or 18.

However, NJPW had to change the Wednesday card because of Ospreay’s injury, including two bouts as Ospreay was set to team with Davis and Kyle Fletcher. Jeff Cobb replaced Ospreay.

Originally, Cobb was slated to work a tag team bout that would’ve seen him team up with Aaron Henare against Yuto Nakashima and Oskar Leube. It had to be changed to a singles match between Henare and Nakashima.
