A former MLW tag team champion is now contractually free to work anywhere he wants.

One of the exciting aspects of being a wrestling fan in the Internet age is keeping tabs on the free agency market. You get to see what a wrestler can do in one company, but what if they went elsewhere, with a slew of new opponents to compete against?

Some of the most notable stars enjoying free agency include Mercedes Moné (Sasha Banks), The Garcia Twins (the Bella Twins) and former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Jay White. White is rumored to be WWE-bound, while Moné has expressed interest in staying independent and working for different promotions.

With fans wondering who will show up where next, "The Judge" EJ Nduka has joined the fray. His final televised match for MLW was on March 14 at MLW Underground, where he and partner Calvin Tankman lost the MLW World tag team titles with to The Samoan SWAT Team (Lance Anoa'i & Juicy Finau).

After the match, Nduka thanked the company for a "crazy ride" and thanked fans for supporting him. He let his followers know ... "THE JUDGE IS JUST GETTING STARTED."

AEW could be the landing spot for Nduka, as the company reportedly offered a contract two months ago. The free agent competed for AEW against Konosuke Takeshita in a losing effort at AEW Dark, which took place on Jan 28 taping but aired on Youtube on Feb. 7. After his match, Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reported that AEW offered him a full-time contract. However, he reportedly didn't sign.

As a free agent, it's possible Nduka didn't want to sign a deal right after a match and wanted to weigh his options. He is also close friends with TBS Champion Jade Cargill, as he revealed in an interview with SEScoops on Oct. 28, 2021, that they went to college together. Nduka hasn't shared his thoughts on possibly signing with AEW, but now that his final match with MLW aired, he could start teasing his next appearance soon.
