It could be hard to determine what program in wrestling that general wrestling fans would be interested in. WWE is having a successful run as they head toward WrestleMania 39 on April 1 and 2 at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. WWE fans are invested in storylines like the Bloodline potentially falling apart and Cody Rhodes's quest for the WWE Championship.
However, a new rivalry culminating at WrestleMania 39 could be another great program for WWE. While it's still early to say, but one segment on the March 13 episode of Raw saw a more massive viewership on youtube than any clip from the episode. That segment was the interaction between Brock Lesnar and Omos, which has over 1 Million views.
While Youtube numbers aren't a definitive indication that fans are interested in a wrestling program, it's worth noticing. The second most significant viewed segment from Monday Night Raw was Rey Mysterio refusing to accept his son Dominik's challenge to a WrestleMania 39 match. That segment has over 500 thousand views.
Fans have been mixed on social media about the Lesnar and Omos storyline. Fightful Select on March 1 that WWE pitched a Bray Wyatt and Lesnar match for WrestleMania 39, but he turned it down. It's also rumored that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon could've had a say in Lesnar vs. Omos happening, but it hasn't been confirmed.
It's worth noting that Omos had a backstage segment on Monday Night Raw, and that clip did significantly lower in viewership on Youtube. That clip has under 60 thousand views. In comparison, Montez Ford had a backstage segment that had over 80 thousand views. This shows again that Youtube viewership numbers can be misleading, and it's hard to determine what fans are interested in.
