CM Punk has reacted to last night's SmackDown segment featuring Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik.

On the March 24 edition of the blue branded show, fans saw Rey Mysterio finally snap and punch his son Dominik in the face. This came after the tension between the father and son duo brewed for a long time.

With the latest escalation, it appears that the two will not hold back when they take out their frustrations on each other in the ring at WrestleMania 39, which was also confirmed that night.

After the show went off the air, Mysterio explained his actions on Instagram. He wrote, "Every man has his limits... Don't forget, she's not only your mother, but my wife. See you at #WrestleMania."

This post got a response from none other than AEW's CM Punk, who left an amusing comment on Mysterio’s post. He wrote, "Good for you Rey. I've wanted to punch him for 13 years!"

Punk made headlines recently for his Instagram story in which he criticized Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, and Dave Meltzer. Even though he subsequently deleted the story, it generated a lot of buzz online.

The former AEW champion also reportedly had a conversation with Kenny Omega after their brawl at All Out. Punk told Omega that the issue was not with him.

There is a belief that Punk is aware that his actions have harbored negative feelings towards him within the AEW roster, and that talent may even walk out if he had returned. He reportedly had a meeting scheduled with AEW President Tony Khan in February, which was delayed due to Jerry Jarrett's funeral.

Punk’s status with the company is still unclear, but he is said to be under contract with the promotion still. It remains to be seen what happens with Punk and AEW.
