Former NXT UK star Eddie Dennis has called it quits.

WWE made the announcement of the closure of the NXT UK brand and the release of several superstars. The company revealed that NXT UK will be replaced with NXT Europe. Amid the discussion of NXT Europe, the former NXT UK star announced his in-ring retirement.

Eddie Dennis joined NXT UK in 2018 after a prolonged stint on the independent scene. The veteran was also part of the Dog Collar match that WWE revived for his feud with Wild Boar in 2022. His last match for the brand saw him team up with Saxon Huxley in a loss to Chase U (Andre Chase & Bodhi Hayward). Eddie was released from his contract on August 18, 2022.

Most recently, Eddie Dennis competed in the RevPro Revolution Rumble that was held at the York Hall in London on Sunday. It was at this venue that he announced his retirement.

Following the match, Eddie took off his boats and placed them in the ring. The photo surfaced on social media. Later, Eddie took to his Twitter hangler to confirm that he has retired from the world of pro wrestling.

"My farewell to the magical world with the purple canvas."

In his latest tweet, Eddie Dennis said he’ll share his thoughts on his pro-wrestling journey. He also posted a photo of his merchandise for fans to purchase.
