Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks is the latest victim of the injury bug.

The injury took place on the March 15 edition of AEW Dynamite during the World Trios Title Three-Way match between The House of Black (c), The Jericho Appreciation Society and The Elite.

According to Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, Jackson hurt is arm early in the contest. He's suffered a partially-torn bicep, which could keep him out of the ring for a few months. Surgery was an option, but he's opted to go the physical rehabilitation route in hopes of making a quicker return to the ring.

Had he gone through with surgery, Jackson would have been out of action for at least seven months.

AEW’s next next pay-per-view, Double or Nothing, is only two months away. Meltzer expressed his concern that Jackson may not be able to make it back in time for the event. This makes it a really bad timing for the injury to occur.

The injury was addressed on last week's episode of Dynamite. The Young Bucks were taken on stretchers into an ambulance after being attacked by the Blackpool Combat Club. The storyline built to Hangman Page making the save for Kenny Omega after the BCC attacked Omega following his match against El Hijo Del Vikingo.

Injuries are an unfortunate part of professional wrestling. It can even derail careers. It is important for wrestlers to prioritize their health. Jackson's decision to not undergo surgery is understandable, but it is also a risky move.

Since wrestling is a physically demanding sport, he could end up re-aggravating his injury or worse, even sustain a new one if he returns too early.
