Nick Aldis and IMPACT Wrestling are going to 'go with the flow' before deciding what's next for the British wrestler.

Aldis made his return to IMPACT last month as part of the Rebellion event and confronted new World Champion Steve Maclin. A former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Aldis returned after parting ways with the company in 2017. During his first run with the company, Aldis also became a two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion.

Following Aldis' return, it was reported that the former Magnus was not under contract, but instead working on a handshake deal with Scott D'Amore. In an update from Fightful Select, it is confirmed that he is not on a handshake deal, but that he has a short-term agreement with the company.

The report notes that the deal is a "feeling out" process for the two sides and that Aldis is interested in seeing how things work out and hanging a positive influence on the company. It is said that this matters more than having the status of his deal overshadow his work with IMPACT.

Aldis does have a deal with IMPACT Wrestling for the time being, but he has also caught the attention of WWE. Earlier this year, it was reported that WWE had implemented an unofficial 'hiring freeze' as higher-ups prepared for a sale of the promotion. Aldis was informed by WWE that the company was interested in him, but that they would not be hiring him at this time.

Aldis' five-year tenure with the NWA ended in controversy in December 2022 and was confirmed by Aldis earlier this year.
