Wrestling fans have been curious whether Warner Bros. Discovery will sign All Elite Wrestling to a new TV deal. The wrestling company signed an agreement with Warner Bros. in 2019 and received a four-year extension in 2020.

As their current deal is set to expire in 2024, fans have had doubts about what the future of AEW will be, especially since Discovery merged with Warner Bros. last year. It's worth noting as WBD has decided to cut costs since the merger, axing movies like Batgirl and original programming from their Subscription service HBO Max. However, AEW President Tony Khan has been optimistic that the company has a good relationship with WBD and that a new TV deal would get done.

In an update regarding AEW's TV deal, Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reports that AEW and WBD will announce a new TV deal on May 17. He shared that the deal will be announced at WBD upfront at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. Along with a new contract, it's expected WBD will officially announce AEW's new weekly two-hour show, AEW Collision.

Meltzer also notes that Ring of Honor will not be involved in AEW's new deal with WBD.

AEW Collision is rumored to be the company's third weekly show, which will take place on Saturdays. The Wrestling Observer's Newsletter reported that the show would be taped weekly alongside ROH on Saturdays, and it's expected to premier on June 17. AEW superstar CM Punk is also rumored to be a featured member of the AEW Collision roster.

Punk was out of action due to an injury after his match with Jon Moxley at All Out on Sep. 4, 2022. The "Straight Edge Superstar" also ruffled feathers with his involvement in his brawl with The Elite(Kenny Omega, Matt, and Nick Jackson) after All Out last year and revealing his issues with Moxley and Chris Jericho on social media. However, AEW and Punk have been in talks for his return, and it seems he'll be an essential part of AEW's third show.

The wrestling company is looking to have an exciting day on May 17.
